Pre-applied membranes
A laminated pre-applied membrane is provided. The membrane comprises a layer of polyethylene and a rubber or rubber-based layer.
DRYPAD WITH RAPID ABSORPTION AND LIQUID REMOVAL
Disclosed is a liquid removal drypad and liquid removal system suitable for absorbing and removing liquid produced by an individual. The drypad can include one or more perforated conduits arranged with an absorbent material. A source of reduced pressure can be connected to the one or more perforated conduits to remove liquid from the drypad. The drypad can be positioned under a patient and liquid produced by the individual can be removed by applying reduced pressure to the drypad. The drypad can be made by combining one or more conduits with an absorbent material.
THERMAL INSULATION LINERS
Provided herein are products, methods, and kits, for use in regulating the temperature of an object. The present invention relates to thermal insulating liners for regulating the temperature of perishable goods or temperature sensitive products. The thermal insulating liners generally may be dimensioned to fit within a container. The thermal insulating liners may be quickly collapsed and reconstructed to improve stackability and diminish the amount of space required to store the thermal insulating liners prior to use.
Biodegradable multi-layer film
A multi-layer polymer film comprising at least one middle layer A, the polymeric constituents of which are soluble in aqueous solution, and at least one substantially water-impermeable covering layer B or C arranged above and/or below the at least one middle layer A, wherein the layers A, B and C independently of each other in each case comprise at least one thermoplastic polymer and at least one of the covering layers B and C comprises at least one polyhydroxyalkanoate. Processes for the production of the multi-layer polymer film according to the invention and its use for the production of molded parts, films or bags are furthermore presented and described.
Barrier film
A barrier film includes: a first layer including calcium carbonate; and a second layer on the first layer, the second layer including an ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymer. A container includes at least one side including a barrier film including: a first layer including calcium carbonate; and a second layer on the first layer, the second layer including an ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymer.

COMPOSTABLE HIGH BARRIER PACKAGING MATERIAL
A compostable packaging material having a high barrier to water and oxygen is provided. Such compositions can have a film layer comprising polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA), a bonding layer, and a substrate layer. The compostable packaging material can be compostable at home or industrially as well as anaerobically digested.
Hybrid propulsion system for boats and ships
A Hybrid Vessel Propulsion and Generation System diesel jet drive outboard and inboard motors, with an electrical generator attached to a prop shaft of the motors to generate electricity to power batteries. On large boats or ships with a gear change, the generator is mounted on the back of the gearbox and is attached to the prop shaft, with the generator being driven by rotation of the prop shaft and the drive off the gearbox. The system also incorporates electrically powered water thrusters and mechanical pressurized water turbines used for charging the batteries. The system also incorporates electric motors attached to propellers powered by electric batteries. Solar Panels may be arranged in the port hole windows incorporating a housing, latch and lever arms to position them towards the sun.
MULTILAYER OBJECT
A laminate that has excellent handleability when attached to an adherend, has excellent durability when in a dry state, and has no difference in characteristics between both of the outermost faces. A laminate including: an adhesion-preventing layer (A) composed of a polylactic acid resin and having a thickness of 10 to 500 nm; a water-soluble film (B) composed of a water-soluble resin and having a thickness of 1 to 18 m; and a water-soluble nonwoven fabric (C) having a thickness of 80 to 550 m; in which the layer, the film, and the fabric are laminated in the order A/B/C/B/A; and wherein the laminate has a specified cross-sectional density and specified structural characteristics so that the laminate can achieve excellent handleability when attached to an adherend, has excellent durability in a dry state, and has no difference between both of the faces.
