Bag-in-box film for packaging refrigerated liquids
Multi-layer films for making bags for containing flowable materials, in particular to large bags for dairy products. The multi-layer films have an outer and an inner sealant layer and a core layer and optionally, an interposed layer positioned between the outer sealant layer and the core layer and between the core layer and the inner sealant layer. The outer and inner sealant layers contain an ethylene/α-olefin interpolymer composition and the intermediate layer optionally contains this interpolymer composition.
Perforated polymeric sheet with underlying spacers
A new protective polymeric sheet is described wherein said polymeric sheet includes perforations and attached spacers that allow air and water circulation when the sheet is in use. The sheet protects underlying structures from damage while ensuring moisture migration between the protective polymeric sheet and the underlying structure. The protective polymeric sheet comprises a plurality of perforations extending through the sheet and a plurality of spacers, each spacer extending from a lower surface of the sheet adjacent to one side of each perforation. The spacers are created during perforation of the polymeric sheet. The protective polymeric sheet is useful in a number of applications, including without limitation: to protect pipelines; to replace geotextiles in heap leach processes; to line sandboxes and paving stones; to cover greenhouse floors; to make industrial or residential gutter caps; and as a filter.
Multi-layer acoustical building panels
The present invention is directed to an acoustic ceiling panel having a first major exposed surface opposite a second major exposed surface, the acoustic ceiling panel comprising: a first layer having an upper surface opposite a lower surface, the first layer comprising: a first body comprising a first major surface opposite a second major surface and a side surface extending between the first and second major surfaces, the first body being air-permeable; and a first attenuation coating applied to the first body; a second layer having an upper surface opposite a lower surface, the second layer comprising: a second body comprising a first major surface opposite a second major surface and a side surface extending between the first and second major surfaces, the second body being air-permeable; and a second attenuation coating applied to the second body; and an adhesive present between the first and second layers.
Laminate countertop with synthetic polymer substrate
A laminate countertop with a curved edge profile includes a base support including a synthetic polymer material. The synthetic polymer material can be a closed-cell polymer foam. The base support includes a top surface, a bottom surface, opposing longitudinal sides, at least one of which comprises the curved edge profile, and opposing latitudinal sides. The countertop also includes a laminate cover formed from a cured resin material adhered to and covering at least a portion of the top surface and at least a portion of the curved edge profile of the base support. A method for forming the laminate countertop includes steps of providing the base support and adhering the laminate cover over at least a portion of the top surface and a portion of the curved edge profile of the base support.
ILLUMINATED FIBER-BASED VEHICLE TRIM COMPONENTS AND FLOORING
A light-emitting carpet or light-emitting trim panel that employs a translucent polymer sheet that has a protective layer and a plurality of cavities configured to accept a plurality of light emitting diodes (LEDs) arranged to generate light where the LEDs are configured to align and project into the polymeric sheet cavities.
ETHYLENE VINYL ALCOHOL COPOLYMER RESIN COMPOSITION, ETHYLENE VINYL ALCOHOL COPOLYMER FILM FORMED THEREFROM, AND MULTILAYER STRUCTURE CONTAINING THE SAME
The present invention relates to an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (EVOH) resin composition, an EVOH film formed therefrom, and a multilayer structure containing the same. The core height difference (Sk) of the surface of the EVOH resin composition is between 0.6 and 2.0 μm, and the overall standard deviation of Sk is between 0.05 and 0.55. The invention can reduce the torque output during processing to achieve the effect of energy saving, and can also improve the stability during output to obtain a better film appearance.
ORIENTED MULTILAYER SHRINK FILMS WITH POLYSTYRENE OR CYCLIC OLEFIN COPOLYMER SKIN LAYER
Multilayer oriented shrink films include a base layer and at least one skin layer on at least one side of the base layer. The at least one skin layer includes at least one amorphous styrene-butadiene block copolymer or at least one amorphous cyclic olefin copolymer. The base layer has a thickness greater than the at least one skin layer and includes a blend of: (a) at least one styrene block copolymer selected from the group consisting of styrene-ethylene/butene-styrene triblock copolymers, styrene-ethylene/propylene-styrene triblock copolymers, styrene-ethylene/butene diblock copolymers and styrene-ethylene-propylene diblock copolymers and combinations thereof; and (b) at least one propylene polymer selected from the group consisting of polypropylene terpolymers with ethylene and butene-1, propylene ethylene copolymers, propylene butene-1 copolymers and combinations thereof.
Skin material-coated foamed particle molded body
A skin material-coated foamed particle molded body includes a skin material made of a polypropylene-based resin molded body and a polypropylene-based resin foamed particle molded body coated with the skin material. The skin material has a multilayer structure including an inner layer adhered to the foamed particle molded body and an outer layer outside the inner layer. The outer layer contains a polypropylene-based resin and a reinforcement fiber. The inner layer contains the polypropylene-based resin and a reinforcement fiber in a lower content ratio than a content ratio of the reinforcement fiber contained in the outer layer or contains the polypropylene-based resin and substantially no reinforcement fiber. An average value of the outer layer thickness ratio to a sum of the outer and inner layer thicknesses is 0.20 or more and 0.65 or less, and a coefficient of variation Cv of the ratio is 30% or less.
Graphic sheet, method of producing graphic sheet, and building structure
A graphic sheet is provided that can be affixed with sufficient adhesive force onto wallpaper, a poster, or other substrate having comparatively low strength, and can be easily renewed without damaging the substrate, which is the underlying layer.
