FLEXIBLE COVER WINDOW WITH IMPROVED STRENGTH
Disclosed is a glass-based flexible cover window with improved strength including a planar portion formed so as to correspond to a planar region of a flexible display and a folding portion formed so as to be connected to the planar portion, the folding portion being formed so as to correspond to a folding region of the flexible display, wherein the flexible cover window includes a glass substrate, an adhesive buffer layer formed on the glass substrate, a protective film layer formed on the adhesive buffer layer, and a hard coating layer formed on the protective film layer. The protective film layer is formed on the glass substrate, whereby strength and folding characteristics of the flexible cover window are improved, and inherent texture of glass is maintained while the overall thickness of the flexible cover window is reduced, and therefore aesthetics of the flexible cover window are improved.
Compressible adjunct with crossing spacer fibers
A staple cartridge assembly for use with a surgical stapling instrument includes a staple cartridge including a plurality of staples and a cartridge deck. The staple cartridge assembly also includes a compressible adjunct positionable against the cartridge deck, wherein the staples are deployable into tissue captured against the compressible adjunct, and wherein the compressible adjunct comprises a first biocompatible layer comprising a first portion, a second biocompatible layer comprising a second portion, and crossed spacer fibers extending between the first portion and the second portion.
Roofing shingle
A roofing shingle including a lower layer including a headlap and a plurality of tabs extending from the headlap, and an upper layer including one or more fingers, wherein the one or more fingers are disconnected from one another, and wherein each of the one or more fingers is disposed on one tab of the plurality of tabs, wherein a number of the plurality of tabs is different than a number of the one or more fingers. In an embodiment, the lower layer is a lowermost layer of the roofing shingle. In another embodiment, the roofing shingle further includes an alignment feature disposed in an exposure zone of the roofing shingle, wherein the alignment features is adapted to permit alignment of adjacent roofing shingles during installation on a roof.
Dental appliance with differential properties
Described are improved dental materials and appliances made therefrom that have a range of flexibility and strength and exhibit improved comfort and effectiveness in orthodontic and other treatment.
FLOOR ELEMENT
A floor element includes a substrate made of polymer, a top layer on one of the two sides of the substrate and a polymeric foamed layer on the other of the two sides of the substrate. The density of the polymeric foamed layer is less than 120 kg/m.sup.3.
SKIN FOR A VEHICLE INTERIOR TRIM PART CONTAINING AN OPERATING ELEMENT
The skin (1) comprises at least an outer elastomeric layer (5) with an inner surface and an outer surface and at least one operating element (8A) which is adhered to the inner surface of the outer skin layer (5). The operating element (8A) is intended to be connected to an electric or electronic component to enable to control the operation of this component. In order to indicate the location of the operating element (8A) in the skin (1) with a minimal distortion of the visual appearance of the skin, the operating surface (9) of the operating element (8A) extends in a first area (11) of the visible surface of said skin (1), which first area (11) has a first surface texture which is different from the surface texture of the surrounding area (12) of the visible surface of the skin. Both textures may in particular produce a different gloss and the first area (11) may further be provided with surface relief elements (16, 17).
LAMINATED GLASS INTERLAYER FILM AND LAMINATED GLASS
Provided is an interlayer film for laminated glass capable of suppressing occurrence of foaming in an end part of the laminated glass, and increasing the transparency of the laminated glass without conducting a high-temperature and high-pressure process by an autoclave. The interlayer film for laminated glass according to the present invention is an interlayer film for laminated glass, having a one-layer structure or a two or more-layer structure, and includes a first layer, and when a specific compression creep test is conducted for a test sample A having a diameter of 8 mm and a thickness of 0.8 mm obtained by cutting out the first layer, a variation in thickness of the test sample A before and after the compression creep test is 50 .Math.m or more and 325 .Math.m or less.
FLOORING ELEMENT
Floor element comprising a top layer (102) attached to a substrate layer (104), in which the top layer (102) is itself layered, the top layer (102) comprising: —an optional backing layer (122) made of flexible polymer, —a flexible or semi-rigid polymer layer (124), onto or into which optionally at least one reinforcing layer (126) is attached or embedded, and —a finishing layer comprising a decorative layer (132), a wearing layer (134) thereon and optionally a coating (136) thereon; the substrate layer (104) being a rigid substrate layer.
ULTRAVIOLET-C RADIATION-PROTECTIVE FILMS AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME
Ultraviolet-C (UV-C) radiation shielding films including a substrate made of a fluoropolymer, a multilayer optical film disposed on a major surface of the substrate, and a heat-sealable encapsulant layer disposed on a major surface of the multilayer optical film opposite the substrate. The multilayer optical film is made of at least a multiplicity of alternating first and second optical layers collectively reflecting at an incident light angle of at least one of 0°, 30°, 45°, 60°, or 75°, at least 30 percent of incident ultraviolet light over at least a 30-nanometer wavelength reflection bandwidth in a wavelength range from at least 100 nanometers to 280 nanometers. The ultraviolet light shielding film may be applied to a major surface of a photovoltaic device, such as a component of a satellite or an unmanned aerial vehicle. Methods of making the UV-C radiation-protective films also are disclosed.
