A GLASS ROLL
A glass roll is provided. The glass roll includes a winding core having a central axis, a self adhesive film wound on the winding core about the central axis, and a glass ribbon wound on the self adhesive film about the central axis and attached onto the self adhesive film. In a cross-section of the glass roll that is parallel to the central axis and along an entire length of the glass roll, cross-sections of the self adhesive film may alternate with cross-sections of the glass ribbon.
INTERMEDIATE TRANSFER MEMBER
An intermediate transfer member (ITM) for use with a printing system, the ITM having (a) a support layer; and (b) a release layer having an ink reception surface and a second surface opposing the ink reception surface, the second surface attached to the support layer, the release layer formed of an addition-cured, hydrophobic silicone material, wherein the release surface of the release layer has relatively hydrophilic properties with respect to the addition-cured, hydrophobic silicone material.
Laminated wood polymer composite article and method of making a laminated wood polymer composite article
A laminated composite article having a core component and laminate sheet. The laminate sheet is disposed and overlying at least a portion of the core component. The laminate sheet includes a wear layer and an ink layer. The laminate sheet includes UV absorbers. The UV absorbers are arranged and disposed to provide ink stability to the ink layer. Methods for forming the laminated composite article are also disclosed.
Nonwoven Fabric and Composite Sound-Absorbing Material Using Same as Skin Material
Provided is a nonwoven fabric and a laminated nonwoven fabric suitable as the skin material of a composite sound-absorbing material. The nonwoven fabric and laminated nonwoven fabric are easily formable, thin, and lightweight and excel in form stability, and can nevertheless be controlled within a given range of aeration after being formed into shape. A nonwoven fabric having a laminate structure in which at least one ultra-fine fiber layer (M) having an average fiber diameter of 0.3 to 7 μm (inclusive) and a basis weight of 1 g/m.sup.2 to 40 g/m.sup.2 (inclusive) and at least one continuous filament layer (S) having an average fiber diameter of 10 to 30 μm (inclusive) are integrated together by partial thermocompression bonding.
METALLIZED PACKAGING FILMS FROM RECYCLED PLASTICS
The invention relates to a multilayer plastic film, in particular a multilayer plastic composite film, preferably a multilayer plastic packaging film, based on plastic recyclate (recycled plastic), in particular based on plastic recyclate originating from waste, with a plastic recyclate content of at least 80 wt. %, based on the plastic film, and with barrier layer properties (barrier properties) to water vapor and/or gases (preferably oxygen), preferably with barrier layer properties (barrier properties) to water vapor and gases (preferably oxygen), and the use of this multilayer plastic film, in particular as packaging material. The plastic recyclate is preferably post-consumer plastic recyclate (PCR plastic recyclate), in particular PCR recycled films.
Curative
A curative for epoxidized plant-based oils and epoxidized natural rubber is created from the reaction between a naturally occurring polyfunctional acid and an epoxidized plant-based oil is disclosed. The curative may be used to produce porosity-free castable resins and vulcanize rubber formulations based on epoxidized natural rubber. Materials made from disclosed materials may be advantageously used as leather substitutes.
Extrudable antifog copolyester heat seal resins
A semicrystalline copolyester resin composition formed by twin screw extrusion of various ingredients includes copolyester resins, antiblock, slip and antifog additives. This semicrystalline copolyester resin can be extruded on to PET film or coextruded with PET resin to form clear PET films with antifog properties. These films with antifog properties are produced in a single step without the use of solvent and does not involve any secondary step for coating a separate antifog layer. This minimizes the cost and time required by a converter to make such clear antifog films. These films containing the heat seal copolyester resin can be heat sealed to clear APET trays. Contents within the trays, such as food, can be seen without fogging on the inside of the film that is used to seal the tray. The seals are strong and the peels are smooth giving a very good packaging performance.
BODIES THAT ELIMINATE THE OCCURRENCE OF THE STICK-SLIP EFFECT
A body is claimed that consists of at least two components, of which one component is a carrier part (10) having functional elements (12) protruding from the carrier part (10) and the other component is an elastomer layer (14) that opens out at a surface (16) that protrudes beyond the functional elements (12), which are at least partially embedded in the elastomer layer (14).
PACKAGING ARTICLE FILM HAVING RECLAIMED CONTENT
A multi-layer film, a packaging article and a method of manufacture a packaging article from the multi-layer film is disclosed. The multi-layer film having at least 25% scrap material content, a compatibilizer and antioxidant and being useful for the packaging of food products. The scrap material including a blend of polymers reclaimed from streams of waste and recycling.
