Large format erasable writable surfaces
An erasable writable material for large format applications is disclosed, and includes a cast polyvinylchloride film with a mount surface opposite an etched receiver surface. Also incorporated is a transparent polyester film that has a marking side with a hardness exceeding approximately shore D 79 and an opposite seal side, hermetically laminated to the receiver surface. The marking side includes a clear superstrate that has a hardness exceeding approximately shore D 90, which is applied to the marking side of the polyester film to lower surface energy below about 24 millinewtons per meter. The receiver surface is treated to have a surface energy exceeding about 45 millinewtons per meter, to enable improved adherence of printed and preformed graphic elements, which are encapsulated when laminated between the PET film and receiver surface. The superstrate includes a perfluoropolyether, a polyurethane, an acrylated polyurethane, and/or an acrylate resin to harden the material.
Decorative sheet and decorative plate
A decorative sheet includes a substrate and a surface protective layer formed on the substrate. A decorative plate is formed by laminating the decorative sheet on a base. The surface protective layer includes a first surface protective layer formed on the substrate and a second surface protective layer formed on part of the first surface protective layer. The first surface protective layer contains a curable resin and has a surface kinetic friction coefficient of 0.11 or more and 0.30 or less. The second surface protective layer contains at least one of resin beads and an inorganic compound filler. The first surface protective layer is glossier than the second surface protective layer.
Linerless adhesive activation
This disclosure provides compositions, films, labels, structures and methods that may include a substrate having a first side and a second side, wherein the first side comprises a skin layer comprising at least 50 wt. % of high-density polyethylene. Further, the compositions may include a coating on the skin layer, wherein the coating comprises a topcoat and a primer, wherein the topcoat consists of: (i) at least 50 wt. % high-density polyethylene and one or more polyethylene polymers in water; (ii) wax, silicone or combination thereof; and (iii) optionally additives, whereupon imaging the composition by a thermal print head at a temperature of 300 C. or less results in no or negligible solvent-penetrability beneath the skin layer.
DEVICE SURFACE RENEWAL AND REWORK BY BUNDLED LAMINATE STRUCTURES
A laminate structure is provided that allows the surface renewal and rework of a device by the selective removal of layers of the laminate. The selective removal may be achieved by heating or irradiating the laminate structure, such that an adhesive layer debonds and allows the removal of a damaged layer to provide a pristine surface.
LIGHT SHIELDING TAPE, METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME, AND DISPLAY DEVICE INCLUDING THE SAME
A light shielding tape includes a first adhesive layer, a textile base layer disposed on the first adhesive layer, a resin base layer disposed on the textile base layer, and a first light shielding layer disposed on the resin base layer. The first light shielding layer includes black pigment.
OUTDOOR COLOR CHANGEABLE FILM WITH SELF RECOVERING FUNCTIONS
Disclosed is an outdoor color changeable film with self recovering functions which has self recovering functions such as water repellent, anti-fouling, and antibacterial functions, can block ultraviolet rays, and can be used in various fields due to a long-lasting film property and an insecticidal effect. The outdoor color changeable film is a color changeable film which is constituted by a hard coating pearl layer capable of self recovering, a transparent base film with the hard coating pearl layer formed on the surface, an adhesive coating layer formed on the bottom of the transparent base film, and a release film detachably laminated below the adhesive coating layer and is constituted by mixing pearl particles with a hard coating agent forming the hard coating pearl layer.
ABSORBENT MAT
An absorbent mat includes a composite absorbent sheet with an absorbent layer, an intermediate adhesive layer, and a protective layer. The intermediate adhesive layer is affixed to the absorbent layer. The protective layer has a predetermined split defining a plurality of protective portions. Each of the protective portions are removably attached to the intermediate adhesive layer. The absorbent mat has a free peripheral edge that is not bounded or otherwise captured by a frame. The absorbent mat also has a dry edge area disposed adjacent the peripheral free edge of the absorbent layer. The dry edge area is defined by the absence of significant adhesion between the protective layer and the intermediate adhesive layer.
Protective shields
Protective shields configured to prevent projection against projectiles, such as during excavating and/or mining operations, are provided. The protective shields include a base layer comprising one or more transparent polycarbonate layers, a sacrificial polycarbonate layer comprising a transparent polycarbonate, and an air gap positioned directly between at least a portion of the base layer and the sacrificial polycarbonate layer. The sacrificial polycarbonate layer is directly or indirectly attached to the base layer in a manner to provide the air gap positioned between the base layer and the sacrificial polycarbonate layer.
COSMETIC SHEET AND COSMETIC PLATE
The present invention provides a low-gloss decorative sheet having an appropriately low level of wiping resistance, and thereby enables strongly adhering grime to be easily wiped off, thus being excellent in terms of easy cleanability. The present invention provides a decorative sheet comprising a base material sheet and at least a surface-protecting layer on the base material sheet, (1) the base material sheet being a thermoplastic resin sheet, (2) the surface-protecting layer having a surface free energy of 40 mJ/m.sup.2 or more, (3) an arithmetic average roughness (Ra0.08) measured on the surface side of the surface-protecting layer at a cutoff value of 0.08 mm with an evaluation length of 0.4 mm by a measurement method in accordance with JIS B0601:2001 being 0.60 m or less, and (4) a specular glossiness on the surface-protecting layer side of the decorative sheet at an incident angle of 60 being 23 or less.
