DELIVERY CATHETER AND METHOD OF DISEASE TREATMENT
20220233238 · 2022-07-28 ·

Embodiments of the present invention provide a device and a method for at least one disease by delivering an effective amount of energy and/or formulation to tissue on or near to a body lumen wall. The formulation can include at least one of a gas, a vapor, a liquid, a solution, an emulsion, a suspension of one or more ingredients, or a combination thereof. The amounts of the formulation and/or energy delivered can be effective to injure or damage tissue, nerves, and/or nerve endings to relieve disease symptoms.

ULTRASONIC BEAM PATH DETERMINATION AND TARGETING

The present discussion relates to the delivery of ultrasonic therapy energy to a target region in conjunction with a clear path determination that may assess one or more of: (1) presence of non-soft tissue regions within the therapy beam path (e.g., bone or bone-like structures, gas-filled cavities, and so forth), (2) partial “lift-off” of the probe head; or (3) sufficiency of acoustic coupling. Upon determination or confirmation of at least a partial clear path with respect to some or all of these factors, the therapy beam may be delivered to the target region.

ULTRASOUND THERAPY CATHETER WITH MULTI-CHAMBERED BALLOONS FOR TRANSLUMINAL LONGITUDINAL POSITIONING

A multi-angular ultrasound device. Multi-angular ablation patterns are achieved by a catheter-based ultrasound transducer having a plurality of transducer zones. A multi-chambered balloon is positioned on the catheter.

OXYGEN SUPPLYING APPARATUS HAVING CIRCULATION FACILITATING
20220226554 · 2022-07-21 ·

An oxygen supply apparatus is configured to directly supply oxygen-containing gas to an user for inhalation while facilitating blood circulation of a specific portion of the user. The oxygen supply apparatus includes a power supply; an oxygen-containing gas source for providing the oxygen-containing gas; a gas catheter having one end thereof connected to the oxygen-containing gas source; an inhalator connected to the other end of the gas catheter; and a circulation facilitating device at least partially attached to the specific portion of the user. The circulation facilitating device includes a sonic oscillation circuit and a housing. The sonic oscillation circuit is configured to produce oscillation at a frequency ranging from 20 Hz to 10 MHz, and the housing encloses the sonic oscillation circuit in a watertight manner

MEDICAL DEVICE AND TREATMENT METHOD

At a distal portion of a shaft of a guide portion included in a medical device, a first portion is configured to be capable of coming into contact with an inner wall of a living organ. A second portion is disposed on a proximal side of the shaft with respect to the first portion. The second position is configured to be capable of coming into contact with the inner wall of the living organ at a position different from that of the first portion on a transverse cross section of the inner wall of the living organ. A treatment portion is movable in a lumen of the shaft in a state where at least a part of the first portion and at least a part of the second portion come into contact with the inner wall of the living organ.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PERFORMANCE OF THERMAL BRONCHIOPLASTY TO REDUCE COVID-19-INDUCED RESPIRATORY DISTRESS AND TREAT COVID-19-DAMAGED DISTAL LUNG REGIONS
20210402218 · 2021-12-30 ·

Apparatus and methods for deactivating pulmonary nerves extending along the main bronchi of a mammalian subject to reduce ARDS effects by advancing an ultrasound transducer into the right and subsequently left main bronchus. The ultrasound transducer emits circumferential ultrasound so as to heat a circumferential tissue volume encompassing the right and left main bronchus. The energy of <10 W acoustic for <5 sec will not be sufficient to cause tissue necrosis but sufficient to inactivate nerve conduction. This treatment can be performed without locating or focusing on individual pulmonary nerves.

NANOPARTICLE-BASED IMAGING AND THERAPY
20210401399 · 2021-12-30 ·

The present disclosure relates generally to nanoparticle-based imaging, binding, and/or therapy at a targeted anatomical location within a subject. In particular, certain embodiments relate to intraluminal devices and systems configured to apply nanoparticles to an imaging target and/or treatment target within an anatomical lumen and to communicate imaging and/or treatment data wirelessly to one or more external devices.

BODY CAVITY INSERTABLE ULTRASOUND APPARATUS HAVING STRUCTURE FOR CIRCULATION OF ULTRASOUND TRANSMISSION MEDIUM

An ultrasound apparatus of a body cavity insertable type includes: a handpiece; a supporting rod that is elongated from the handpiece; an ultrasound probe that includes a housing that is connected to the supporting rod and an ultrasound transducer that is fixed to the housing; and an ultrasound transmission medium circulation mechanism that is configured to discharge an ultrasound transmission medium filled in an ultrasound transmission space that is formed at a front of the ultrasound transducer and to inflow the discharged ultrasound transmission medium to the ultrasound transmission space again. The housing and the ultrasound transducer are configured such that the ultrasound transmission medium filled in the ultrasound transmission space is prevented from inflowing to a rear space of the ultrasound transducer.
