A processing machine includes a dryer device. In particular, the processing machine is a printable material- or sheet-processing or a substrate-processing machine, in particular a printing machine. A method for operating a drying device in such a processing machine is also provided. The processing machine addresses the problem of creating an alternative processing machine comprising a drying device or an alternative method for operating a drying device in a processing machine. In particular, the cooling in preferably high-performs dryers in processing machines, such as substrate, or printable material-processing machines, should be improved. Especially preferably the cooling of the underside of the underside of a UV emitter should also be further improved. The problem is solved by pairing a blast air system with the drying device, by the use of which blast air system, the ambient air flowing into the air inlet opening can be or is actively influenced at a distance from the radiation source.

Method and apparatus for curing inks printed on heat sensitive absorbent article components
Aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods and apparatuses for printing and curing energy curable inks printed on a substrate having an onset temperature T.sub.onset (C). The printing systems may include a printing station and a light source. During operation, the printing station deposits energy curable ink onto a first surface of the substrate to define a printed region, and the light source directs ultraviolet light onto the first surface of the substrate to define an illumination zone on the first surface of the substrate. The substrate is advanced in a machine direction to advance the printed region through the illumination zone to cure the energy curable ink. While the printed region advances through the illumination zone, the ultraviolet light heats the substrate from an initial temperature T.sub.in (C) entering the illumination zone to a maximum temperature T.sub.max (C), wherein T.sub.max (C)T.sub.onset (C).
Hardening chamber for printed matter
A curing chamber for curing and drying a flat printing product printed with at least one UV-curing pigment comprising a first chamber wall which comprises a cooling surface or is a cooling surface, a second chamber wall which is opposite the first chamber wall, wherein at least one UV lamp directed onto the cooling surface is arranged on or in the second chamber wall, third and fourth chamber walls which are arranged opposite one another between the first and the second chamber walls and which each comprise an introductory slot or removal slot and/or form an appropriate slot to the first chamber wall, fifth and sixth side walls arranged opposite one another and arranged between the first and the second chamber walls, wherein a gas inlet or a gas outlet is arranged in the vicinity of the third and fourth chamber walls, and the gas inlet is an inert gas inlet.
COOLING DEVICE, TEMPERATURE CONTROL DEVICE AND PRINTER
A cooling device includes a cylindrical body having thermal conductivity, a plurality of thermoelectric converters, and a feeder cable. The plurality of thermoelectric converters are arranged along a periphery of the cylindrical body and disposed dispersedly along an axis of the cylindrical body. The feeder cable connects two or more thermoelectric converters arranged along the periphery of the cylindrical body in series among the plurality of thermoelectric converters to form each of a plurality of sets of thermoelectric converters. And the feeder cable forms a circuit for power feeding of the each of the plurality of sets of thermoelectric converters. A voltage is applied individually to each of circuits that includes the circuit so that thermoelectric converters of the each of the circuits in the plurality of thermoelectric converters are driven.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DOUBLE-SIDED PRINTING TO A RECORDING MEDIUM
In an method for double-sided printing to a recording medium, a first side of the recording medium is printed to with a liquid first color separation, the liquid first color separation is pre-dried such that a predetermined final drying state remains unachieved, where the pre-dried state is a transportable intermediate state that is between a wet print image directly after printing and the predetermined final drying state, a second side of the recording medium is printed to with a liquid second color separation, and the pre-dried first color separation and the second liquid color separation are jointly dried to entirely achieve the predetermined final drying state for both the first and second color separations.
Sheet-fed printing press having a dryer for drying sheets printed by a non-impact printing device
In some examples, a sheet-fed printing press includes a dryer for drying sheets printed by a non-impact printing device. A cooling unit is directly downstream from the dryer in the transport direction, and includes a cooling module above a conveying plane. The cooling module uses air as a cooling medium, and may include a blower module with blower nozzles that blow the cooling medium onto the surface of the sheets being cooled. The blower module forms, with a guide surface, a gap with respect to the surface of the sheet being cooled. The guide surface of the blower module is arranged at a height above the surface of the sheet being cooled so that the cross-section of an outer annular gap, through the cooling medium exits, is smaller than or almost equal to a sum cross-section across all opening surfaces of the blower nozzles in the guide surface.
