METHOD FOR DIGITALLY PRINTING A PROFILED STRIP
20220355597 · 2022-11-10 ·

The invention relates to a device for digitally printing a profiled strip (6), comprising a plurality of digital print heads (3) which can be oriented relative to a conveyor (1) conveying the profiled strip (6) past the print heads (3) in the longitudinal direction. In order to create advantageous guiding conditions, it is proposed that the conveyor (1) has a plurality of conveying members (2) guided in a circulating path, that the circulating path forms a conveying section with a straight guiding section (5) for the conveying members (2), and that the conveying members (2) are provided with a receptacle for the profiled strip (6) which holds the profiled strip (6) in a manner fixed against displacement during the movement of the members along the straight guiding section (5).

In this print method, assuming that the number of stacking of ink layers in a thickest portion in a thickly-piled portion is N, in a histogram preparation step ST2, a histogram of luminance values of grayscale image data prepared in an image data preparation step ST1 is prepared, and in luminance value range setting steps ST3 to ST10, a luminance value of predetermined gradations of the histogram is divided into N and N luminance value ranges are set. In the luminance value range setting steps ST3 to ST10, a division position of the luminance value of the predetermined gradations is adjusted while the histogram displayed on a predetermined display is checked.

The invention relates to a method for printing objects, in particular containers, wherein the containers are transported along a specified transport path, and the outer surface of the containers is printed at least temporarily by means of at least one printing unit, wherein a controller controls the printing of the containers by means of the at least one printing unit on the basis of at least one printing parameter. According to the invention, at least one object to be printed is printed with at least one test marking in order to ascertain the printing parameter, and the object provided with the test marking is then inspected by means of at least one inspection device, wherein the printing parameter is derived from the result of the inspection.

Method and Device for the Production of a Three-Dimensional Object
20220055304 · 2022-02-24 ·

In a method for the production and/or treatment of a three-dimensional object with a printing material which is dispensed at a target position in the form of discrete three-dimensional printing material elements, a metering device is moved to at least one reservoir in which a supply of printing material is kept and, by means of the metering device, printing material is picked up from that at least one reservoir. The metering device is transported to a target position defined in all three spatial dimensions and, at that target position, a metered quantity of printing material is applied to a substrate or to a three-dimensional object arranged thereon or being constructed thereon, in order to create a printing material element. The creation of a printing material element is repeated until the three-dimensional object has been fully constructed and/or treated. The use of a metering device for picking up, transporting and applying printing material makes it possible for virtually any desired printing materials to be processed and, accordingly, for objects to be produced and/or treated with virtually any desired printing materials.

In a method and a device for inkjet printing on containers, at least a first and a second subprint complementing each other in the printing direction so as to form a print image are joined. The first subprint is printed starting from a connection area or up to a connection area. Subsequently, the second subprint is printed with a feed towards the connection area such that the first and second subprints interleavingly overlap in the connection area. This allows a joining of subprints with unobtrusive transitions even in the case of dimensional tolerances and complicated cross-sections of the respective container.
