PRINT DEVICE, PRINT METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE MEDIUM STORING PRINT PROGRAM
A print device prints prescribed information on a plurality of print media including at least one first medium and at least one second medium arranged subsequent to the at least one first medium on a long medium. The plurality of print media corresponds to a zone number that is smaller than a total number of the print media to be printed. The print device judges, for each of the at least one first medium, a print quality or a degree of the print quality. The judging the print quality or the degree of the print quality is based on a prescribed result obtained the print content of the at least one first medium on which the printing has been performed. The print device prints, on the at least one second medium, judgment result information indicating a result of the judging the print quality or the degree of the print quality.

SMALL PITCH RADIO FREQUENCY IDENTIFICATION (RFID) LABEL DETECTION
A printer assembly is described that includes a media hub configured to receive a media roll and supply a media from the media roll along a media path, wherein the media includes a plurality of labels each comprising a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) inlay. The printer assembly also includes a media guide positioned adjacent to the media path. The media guide includes an RFID antenna, with the RFID antenna communicatively coupled to an RFID control system and configured to transmit signals to encode the RFID inlay on a first label. The media guide also includes at least one shield, wherein the at least one shield is positioned adjacent to the RFID antenna to prevent, during an encoding of the RFID inlay on the first label of the plurality of labels, an encoding of the RFID inlay on a second label of the plurality of labels.
MOBILE PRINTER
According to one embodiment, a mobile printer, includes an RFID writer capable of writing information to an RFID tag, such as one embedded in a merchandise tag or price tag. The mobile printer additionally includes a print head storing decolorable ink that can be made substantially invisible or indistinguishable on a merchandise tag or price tag. The print head is configured to discharge decolorable ink for printing information on a merchandise tag or price tag. The decolorable ink can be discolored/decolored after being used to print information on a merchandise tag or price tag to permit information on the merchandise tag or price tag to be changed after an initial printing.
Printing using color changeable material
Systems and methods for printing data on a substrate including a color-changeable material are provided. One system includes a processing circuit and a device including an energy source. At least a portion of a printed publication is printed on the substrate using a commercial printing press based on fixed data. The device including the energy source is configured to add variable data to the substrate. The processing circuit is configured to receive the variable data and to control the energy source to change a color of the color-changeable material based on the variable data to provide at least a portion of the printed publication. The processing circuit is configured to control the energy source to change the color of the color-changeable material in-line with a flow of the substrate through one of a printing line, a finishing line, or a packaging line of the commercial printing press.
