Liquid spray device

A liquid spray device includes: a liquid spray head including a spray surface provided with a plurality of nozzles that spray liquid to a medium; a conveyance mechanism that includes an opposing surface opposite to the spray surface and conveys the medium in a first direction between the spray surface and the opposing surface; a plurality of protrusions protruding from the spray surface, and arranged in a second direction which is intersecting with the first direction; and a plurality of supports protruding from the opposing surface to support the medium being conveyed, and arranged in the second direction. The protrusions each have at least a part overlapping with a position other than a middle area between the supports adjacent to each other.

Printer that sets ejection timing between nozzle groups

A controller performs an ejection-timing setting process of setting, for each of first and second nozzle groups, ejection timing in scan printing in which a liquid ejection head ejects a liquid droplet while a head moving device moves the head in a scanning direction. The process includes: in response to receiving a first signal, setting ejection timing such that a time difference between ejection timing of the first nozzle group and ejection timing of the second nozzle group is first time, the first signal instructing printing such that a conveyance amount of a medium between successive two-time scan printing is a first conveyance amount; and in response to receiving a second signal, setting ejection timing such that the time difference is second time shorter than the first time, the second signal instructing printing such that the conveyance amount is a second conveyance amount smaller than the first conveyance amount.

CORRUGATED FIBERBOARD PRINTING DEVICE AND BOX-MAKING MACHINE HAVING THE SAME

A corrugated fiberboard printing device includes a protection device which regulates approaching of a corrugated fiberboard within a predetermined distance against an inkjet head, and a controller. The protection device includes multiple regulation devices which are juxtaposed in a width direction of the corrugated fiberboard, and a movement mechanism which moves each of the multiple regulation devices in the width direction. The controller includes a specific column setting unit which is set to classify a specific column, in which a printing quality is less influenced even when the specific column is regulated by the regulation device, with respect to the corrugated fiberboard in a sheet width direction based on order information, and a movement mechanism control unit which controls the operation of the movement mechanism and moves each of the regulation devices so as to regulate the corrugated fiberboard in the specific column.

LIQUID JETTING APPARATUS
20180215145 · 2018-08-02 ·

There is provided a liquid jetting apparatus including a conveyor, a liquid jet head, a carriage, a carriage moving device, and a controller. The controller carries out printing by repeating a scan-printing operation and a conveyance operation, and carries out a process of determining a jet-timing such that the jet-timing and a predetermined reference timing may deviate oppositely from each other between a print area on the upstream side and a print area on the downstream side along a scanning direction for the carriage to move in the scan-printing operation with respect to a predetermined reference position in the scanning direction, based on a value of a correction parameter. The correction parameter is set to the same value for nozzles included in an identical one of nozzle groups and to different values for the corresponding nozzles included in different ones of the nozzle groups.

Vacuum transfer device for envelope printer

A printable substrate transfer device for a printing machine which includes a platen that has openings therein in fluid communication with a vacuum source. A transport belt is movable over the platen in a process direction. The transport belt allows air to pass there through. A hold down plate is disposed above the transport belt. A stationary porous vacuum substrate is disposed between the hold down plate and the transport belt. The vacuum substrate and transport belt form a path there between through which a printable substrate travels. The hold down plate exerts a force toward the transport belt upon operation of vacuum passing through the platen. The vacuum substrate limits the negative pressure between the hold down plate and the transport belt, such that a force exerted by the hold down plate onto the substrate is limited.

Printing system having a safety assembly with a rolling element

Examples relate to printing systems comprising a safety assembly associated with a printhead. The safety assembly comprises a rolling element upstream of the printhead in the print medium advance direction to prevent a print medium from contacting the printhead.
