PLATEN HOLDER
In one example, a platen holder includes a surface to support a platen and a clamp to clamp the platen to the surface. The clamp includes a jaw and an actuator to open and close the jaw. The jaw and the actuator located below a plane of the surface and the jaw movable at the urging of the actuator between an open position in which the platen may be placed on or removed from the surface of the holder and a closed position to hold the platen against the surface.

PRINTER, CLOTH HOLDER, HOLDER WITH CLOTH, AND CLOTH PRINTING SYSTEM
A printer includes a body, a cloth holder to hold a cloth thereon, a receiver to hold and move back and forth while holding the cloth holder partially within the body of the printer, and a printing unit to print an image on the cloth held by the cloth holder held on the receiver. The cloth holder is detachably attached to the receiver while holding the cloth thereon.
IMAGE ADDING SYSTEM, PRINTER, CLOTH HOLDER, AND HOLDER WITH CLOTH
An image adding system includes a cloth holder to hold a cloth to which an image is added, a printer to print the cloth held by the cloth holder with an image, and a heater to heat the cloth. The cloth holder is used by both the printer and the heater with the cloth held on the cloth holder when the printer prints the image on the cloth and the heater heats the cloth.
RECORDING APPARATUS
A recording apparatus includes a supporting portion that supports a sheet of paper transported and a recording head fixedly disposed at a position opposing the supporting portion, for recording. The recording head has nozzle rows for ejecting ink, and the nozzle rows are arranged side by side in the recording head in a direction intersecting a transport direction of the sheet. The supporting portion has a dumping portion including a position opposite the nozzle rows of the recording head, and the dumping portion is capable of receiving the ink ejected from the nozzle rows when the recording head performs flushing. The supporting portion has a supporting surface capable of supporting the sheet at a position not opposite the nozzle rows of the recording head. A slope inclining relative to the supporting surface is disposed in at least part of the boundary region between the dumping portion and the supporting surface.
RECORDING APPARATUS
A recording apparatus includes a recording head on which a plurality of nozzle rows are arranged in a width direction that intersects with a transfer direction; and a support section which includes a discarding section which includes a position which faces the nozzle rows and allows ink ejected by the recording head to pass therethrough, and a support surface which is disposed at a position which does not face the nozzle rows and is configured to support the paper sheet, wherein the support surface includes a first support surface which is disposed in a region which faces gaps between the nozzle rows in the width direction and a second support surface which extends in a region longer than a region in which the first support surface is disposed in the width direction, and the first support surface and the second support surface are formed to be flush with each other.
IMAGE PRINTING APPARATUS
A platen disposed so as to face a printing head includes a third support portion. A second suction hole is formed in an area through which a recording medium passes at least beyond the third support portion in the width direction of the recording medium or downstream of the third support portion in the conveyance direction. A supply port is formed between the third support portion and the second suction hole. Air is sucked into the second suction hole and supplied toward the recording medium through the supply port.
PRINTER WITH VACUUM DEVICE
A printer includes a print station; a media transport mechanism arranged for conveying print media on a transport path past the print station, the transport mechanism having a support surface for supporting the media; and a vacuum device arranged for attracting the media against the support surface on a section of the transport path downstream of the print station. The vacuum device is divided, in the direction along the transport path, into at least two segments in which the media are attractable with different non-zero suction pressures.
System and method for transporting substrates
A substrate unloading system comprising a gripper mounted on a slanted plane and movable along the slanted plane, and a platen onto which the substrate is attached, the platen configured to be moved down in a vertical direction and away from the gripper in a horizontal direction, the gripper and the platen configured to move simultaneously so that the substrate remains substantially horizontal.
