PRINTING APPARATUS AND CONVEYANCE CONTROL METHOD
A printing apparatus includes a conveyance path including a curving part, an inversion path for inverting a medium upside down, and a control unit, and the control unit includes a first mode for conveying the long medium at a first speed when a surface that faces inside when the long medium is rolled in a roll shape and a surface that faces inside when conveyed in a curved shape through the curving part are the same, and a second mode for conveying the long medium at a second speed lower than the first speed of the first mode when the surface that faces inside when the long medium is rolled in the roll shape and the surface that faces inside when conveyed in the curved shape through the curving part are different from each other.
INKJET RECORDING DEVICE
An inkjet recording device includes: an endless conveyance belt having plural openings; a recording medium supply unit that supplies a recording medium to the conveyance belt; an opening position detection unit that detects positions of the openings in the conveyance belt; a flushing control unit that causes the recording head to perform flushing on the basis of position detection of the openings; and a recording medium supply control unit that controls the recording medium supply unit in any of plural control modes. The plural control modes include: a first control mode in which the recording medium supply unit is controlled independently from the position detection of the openings by the opening position detection unit; and a second control mode in which the recording medium supply unit is controlled on the basis of the position detection of the openings by the opening position detection unit.
RECORDING DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING RECORDING DEVICE
A recording device includes a recording head, a transport roller set, and a controller that controls a driving source that drives a transport driving roller. The controller judges whether a rear end that is an upstream end of a medium in a transport direction crosses a kicking region set in a range present downstream of a nipping position of the transport roller set in a transport direction. When the controller judges that the rear end does not cross the kicking region, the controller adjusts a feeding amount for at least one of a plurality of transport operations to be performed until the rear end reaches the kicking region in such a manner that the rear end of the medium crosses the kicking region.
Conveyance device and printing apparatus
A technique that enables application of additional conveyance force to a print medium and conveyance of various sizes of print media without multi-feed is described. A conveyance device includes a feed unit, a first conveyance unit that conveys a print medium, and a second conveyance unit that conveys a print medium fed by the feed unit to the first conveyance unit, and is capable of correcting the skew of a print medium by causing the second conveyance unit to convey the print medium with its leading edge in abutment with the first conveyance unit. This conveyance device is configured to cause the feed unit to apply conveyance force to a print medium conveyed by the second conveyance unit, depending on the size of the print medium in the conveyance direction.
PRINTING APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD THEREFOR AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A printing apparatus includes a feeding roller configured to feed a printing sheet stacked on a stacking unit, a conveyance roller configured to convey the printing sheet fed by the feeding roller, a printing unit configured to print the printing sheet conveyed by the conveyance roller, a conveyance control unit configured to control conveyance of printing sheets so that the trailing edge of a preceding sheet as a printing sheet precedingly fed from the stacking unit and the leading edge of a succeeding sheet as a printing sheet succeedingly fed from the stacking unit overlap each other, and a determination unit configured to determine whether to convey the succeeding sheet to a position facing the printing unit while keeping an overlap state between the preceding sheet and the succeeding sheet.
SUPPLY DEVICE, PROCESSING DEVICE, CONTROL METHOD AND PROGRAM
A supply device configured to supply a medium to a processing unit configured to perform processing on the medium, the supply device including an accommodating unit configured to accommodate a plurality of the media in a state of being stacked therein and a vibration imparting unit configured to contact ends of the plurality of media accommodated in the accommodating unit to impart vibration to the medium.
PRINTING APPARATUS, PRINTING METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM
A printing apparatus includes a print unit configured to print an image on a print medium, a conveyance unit configured to convey a print medium to the print unit, a first feed unit configured to feed a first print medium to the conveyance unit, a second feed unit configured to feed a second print medium to the conveyance unit, and a control unit configured to control the first feed unit, the second feed unit, and the conveyance unit. The control unit is configured to start, in a state in which the first print medium is being conveyed by the conveyance unit, feeding of the second print medium to the conveyance unit by the second feed unit.
PRINTING APPARATUS AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME
A printing apparatus comprises a first roller for conveying sheets, a first motor for driving the first roller, a second roller for conveying sheets, and a second motor for driving the second roller, and a conveyance controller that controls conveyance to be able to execute a first conveyance operation for conveying sheets such that the trailing edge of a preceding sheet and the leading edge of a succeeding sheet overlap, and a second conveyance operation for conveying sheets by arranging a distance between the trailing edge of the preceding sheet and the leading edge of the succeeding sheet, wherein the conveyance controller, based on information indicating that the second motor is in a temperature rising state, controls whether to execute the first conveyance operation or to execute the second conveyance operation.
PRINTING APPARATUS AND PRINTING METHOD
A printing apparatus, comprising a conveyance unit configured to convey a print medium, a storage unit configured to store ink, a printhead configured to discharge ink supplied from the storage unit to print onto the print medium, and a signal acquiring unit configured to acquire a signal related to a remaining amount of ink in the storage unit, wherein the signal acquiring unit, in accordance with a start of conveyance by the conveyance unit, starts acquisition of the signal.
TRANSPORTATION APPARATUS AND PRINTING APPARATUS
A transportation portion includes an apparatus body, a cover, first and second path formation portions, and a movement portion. The apparatus body has a transportation path including a downward path and an upward path having portions located at the same level in the Z direction. The cover covers and uncovers the transportation path. The first path formation portion is movable to a first position and to a second position. The second path formation portion defines the upward path and defines the downward path with the first path formation portion. The movement portion moves the first path formation portion in response to opening or closing of the cover. The first path formation portion is positioned in a movement area during a closed state. The movement portion moves the first path formation portion to the second position when the cover is opened and to the first position when the cover is closed.
