In one example, a media support includes a sheet of elongated suction cups. In another example, a media support includes an arrangement of elongated and/or circular suction cups in which the density of the suction cups varies between different parts of the support.

METHOD AND PRINTING PRESS ARRANGEMENTS FOR SEQUENTIAL PROCESSING OF SHEET-LIKE SUBSTRATES

A method and machine arrangement for sequential processing of sheet-like substrates are disclosed. At least one of a front side and a rear side of the substrates is processed in a production line one after another. A printing ink or another type of ink is applied in at least one non-impact printing device on the respective side of the substrates. The printing ink or the other type of ink is dried. A dispersion coating or a coating cured by UV radiation is then applied onto the respective side of the substrates. The dispersion coating or the coating cured by UV radiation is dried and the substrates are fed to a mechanical processing device for carrying out a further mechanical processing of the substrates. The further mechanical processing is performed by at least one of punching, inserting grooves, separating parts and by breaking out panels from their respective composite in the respective substrate.

Printing press

A printing cylinder includes a plurality of suction chambers and a masking sheet configured to cover the suction chambers. The masking sheet includes a non-sucking portion which protrudes from the boundary of the suction chambers toward the inside of the suction chambers. A number of through holes are formed in a portion except for the non-sucking portion in the masking sheet. The non-sucking portion exists between the sheet to be printed and the boundary of the suction chamber to be used and the suction chamber not to be used. This can prevent an ink mist from adhering to the printing cylinder.

SHEET SUPPORTING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
20240367935 · 2024-11-07 ·

A sheet supporting apparatus includes a sheet discharge unit, a conveyance unit, a stacking unit, and a supporting unit. The sheet discharge unit conveys a sheet to discharge the sheet. The conveyance unit including a gripper member engaging with a leading edge of the sheet that has been discharged from the sheet discharge unit. The conveyance unit conveys the sheet engaged with the gripper member by moving the gripper member. The stacking unit is on which the sheet that has been conveyed by the conveyance unit is stacked. The supporting unit supports the sheet conveyed by the sheet discharge unit toward the gripper member by abutting against an undersurface of the sheet. The supporting unit is provided at a position where at least part of the supporting unit overlaps the gripper member in a sheet width direction perpendicular to a sheet discharge direction when viewed in the sheet discharge direction.

PRINTING MACHINE FOR SEAMLESS TEXTILES

A printing machine and method for using the same, for printing seamless fabrics provided in tube form, the printing machine comprising a drum on which a tube of the fabric is fitted; and a print head placed in proximity to said drum to print onto the tube fabric as it rotates on the drum. The print head moves axially on the drum to advance the printing.

DIGITAL PRINTING MACHINE

A digital printing machine includes a first sheet-conveying belt made of a first material, a second sheet-conveying belt made of a second material, and a print head for printing on a front side and a back side of the print sheet. The print head is directed towards the first sheet-conveying belt. A reversing device reverses the print sheet between receiving a print on the front side and receiving a print on the back side. A drier dries a print that has been printed onto the print sheet by the print head. The drier is directed towards the second sheet-conveying belt. For instance, the first sheet-conveying belt may be a metal belt and the second sheet-conveying belt may be a plastic belt.

Ink jet recording device and density unevenness correction method therefor

In an ink jet recording device in which a paper supporting part is constituted by a first support and a second support having a comb teeth structure, a region where paper is supported by only the first support is defined as a first region, a region where the paper is supported by only the second support is defined as a second region, and a region where the paper is supported by the first support and the second support is defined as a third region. Charts including a plurality of grayscales for the respective regions are drawn. The respective drawn charts are read by an image reader. Correction values of density unevenness are obtained for the respective regions on the basis of the reading results. Density data of an image are corrected for the respective regions on the basis of the correction values of the density unevenness for the respective regions.

A thickness of a recording medium to be held in a holding region of an outer circumferential part of a cylindrical portion having plural suction holes and a suction position positioned in a predetermined direction from a position of a shaft is acquired. In a case where the thickness of the recording medium is equal to or greater than a first threshold value, a suction flow rate of each suction hole disposed in a subsequent region other than a leading edge of the recording medium is set as a first suction flow rate, and a suction flow rate of each suction hole disposed in the leading edge is set as a second suction flow rate which is smaller than the first suction flow rate. In a case where the thickness of the recording medium is smaller than the first threshold value, a suction flow rate of each suction hole disposed in the holding region is set as a third flow rate which is smaller than the first flow rate.
