SELECTABLE DRIVE SYSTEM
A printing device includes a carriage slidably mounted on a carriage rail, the carriage to move along the carriage rail, and a selectable drive system includes a capping system to cap a number of pens coupled to the carriage, a scan drive system to drive components of a scanning device associated with the printing device, a drive selector assembly to select between driving the capping system to a printing system drive position or driving the scan drive system depending on a position of a selector swing arm of the drive selector assembly, and a shifter to selectively shift the drive selector assembly between a scanning system drive position of the selector swing arm and a printing system drive position of the selector swing arm.
Ink-jet printer
There is provided an ink-jet printer including a conveyer, a recording head, a carriage, an ink receiver and a controller. The controller executes: receiving a recording instruction; determining an ink amount to be jetted in a flushing process; moving the carriage in a first orientation up to a returning position corresponding to the ink amount; moving the carriage in a second orientation opposite to the first orientation from the returning position to a sheet facing area; executing a flushing processing; and executing recording. The returning position is located at a first position downstream from the sheet facing area in the first orientation, under a condition that the determined ink amount is less than a threshold value; and the returning position is located at a second position downstream from the first position in the first orientation, under a condition that the determined ink amount is not less than the threshold value.
SELECTABLE DRIVE PRINTING DEVICE
A selectable drive printing device includes a drive selector system to select between driving a print drive system and driving a scan drive system based at least partially on a position of a selector swing arm of the drive selector system. The selectable drive printing device includes a shifter to selectively shift the drive selector system between a scanning system drive position of the selector swing arm and a printing system drive position of the selector swing arm.
RECORDING APPARATUS
A recording apparatus includes: a center frame that supports a recorder which performs recording on a medium; and at least two side frames positioned with the center frame interposed therebetween. The two side frames include: a first sub-frame to which both of a first feeder and a second feeder that feed a medium are mountable, the second feeder differing from the first feeder in the position from which to feed a medium; and a second sub-frame to which one of the first feeder and the second feeder is mountable. The second sub-frame includes a support portion that supports a power transmission unit which transmits drive power from a motor to the first feeder or the second feeder, the motor being a drive source necessary to feed a medium.
DRIVING WAVEFORM GENERATING DEVICE, LIQUID DISCHARGE HEAD, INKJET RECORDING APPARATUS, AND DRIVING WAVEFORM GENERATING METHOD
In accordance with an embodiment, a driving waveform generating device comprises an input module, a setting module, and a generating module. The input module inputs setting data for setting a driving waveform. The setting module sets an order of waveforms constituting the driving waveform based on the setting data for the driving waveform of each gradation. The generating module generates the driving waveform of a desired gradation based on the setting.
Recording apparatus
A recording apparatus includes a carriage, a medium support member, a gap switching unit, and a maintenance unit. The carriage includes a recording head configured to record on a medium. The medium support member is provided at a position facing the recording head and is configured to support the medium. The gap switching unit is configured to switch a gap between the medium support member and the recording head. The maintenance unit is configured to perform maintenance on the recording head. The gap switching unit and the maintenance unit are driven by a common motor.
SELECTABLE DRIVE PRINTING DEVICE
A selectable drive printing device includes a feedshaft to selectively drive a print drive system and a scan drive system, and a shifter to selectively shift a drive selector assembly of the selectable drive printing device between a scanning system drive position wherein the scan drive system is driven and a printing system drive position wherein the print drive system is driven. The shifter is coaxially and rotatably coupled around the feedshaft. Further, the shifter selectively drives the print drive system and the scan drive system based on an angular position of the shifter about the feedshaft.
RECORDING APPARATUS
A recording apparatus includes a switching mechanism which switches a motive force transmission state from a motive force source, includes a sun gear which is driven by the motive force source, a planet gear which performs planetary motion around the sun gear, a rotational movement member which causes the planet gear to perform planetary motion by rotationally moving, and a regulating member which engages with a regulated portion which is provided in the rotational movement member to restrict the rotational movement of the rotational movement member.
Inkjet printing apparatus
A controller of an inkjet printing apparatus is configured to raise a driving voltage to a target voltage, move the cap for an inkjet head from a covering position to a spaced position, and move a carriage, from which the cap is spaced, from a first position to a second position, simultaneously. The controller is further configured to cause the inkjet head to eject the ink toward an ink receiver in response to completion of boosting of the driving voltage and moving of the cap to the spaced position, and cause the conveyer to convey the sheet and cause the inkjet head to eject the ink in accordance with the recording command, in response to receipt of a recording command which instructs recording of an image on the sheet through a communication device, and completion of flushing.
Inkjet printing apparatus
A controller of an inkjet printing apparatus is configured such that, in response to receipt of a preceding command, which notifies transmission of a recording command in advance, from an information processing device through the communication device, the controller executes a separating process to move from a covering position to a spaced position, a moving process to move a carriage, from which the cap is separated, from a first position to a second position, a flushing process to cause the inkjet head to eject the ink toward an ink receiver in response to receipt of a recording command instructing recording of an image on the sheet and upon completion of the moving process, and a recording process to cause a conveyer to convey the sheet and cause the inkjet head to eject the ink in accordance with the recording command, in response to completion of the flushing process.
