OXIDATIVE STRESS INHIBITOR AND ANTIOXIDANT AGENT
An oxidative stress inhibitor 100 of the present invention contains silicon particles capable of generating hydrogen. In a preferred aspect of the oxidative stress inhibitor 100, the following effects (a) and/or (b) can be exhibited. (a) The total amount of generation (total amount of production) is increased. (b) The amount of generation of hydrogen per unit time (i.e. rate of generation of hydrogen), particularly the rate of generation of hydrogen in the initial stage is increased.
CBP/catenin signaling pathway inhibitors and uses thereof
Provided are compounds of formula (Ia), (Ib) and (IIa), and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof. Additionally provided are compositions and pharmaceutical compositions comprising the compounds, therapeutic methods using same for modulating (e.g., inhibiting) CREB binding protein (CBP)/β-catenin mediated signaling in treating a condition, disease or disorder (e.g., fibrosis, cancer, neurological conditions, metabolic disorders (e.g., diabetes, etc.), and skin conditions (dermatitis, psoriasis, scarring, alopecia, etc.) mediated by aberrant CBP/β-catenin signaling, and cosmetic methods for treating skin conditions (e.g., aging, etc.). Additionally, provided are methods for enhancing vaccine efficacy using the compounds and compositions. Further provided are methods for efficiently synthesizing a clinical grade drug, comprising use, in a penultimate, or last reaction step under GMP conditions, of an intermediate 2-propynyl-compound to form a clinical grade isoxazole derivative (e.g., via 3+2 cycloaddition).

SILVER NANOPLATE COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS
Embodiments of the present invention relate to methods for preparing high optical density solutions of nanoparticle, such as nanoplates, silver nanoplates or silver platelet nanoparticles, and to the solutions and substrates prepared by the methods. The process can include the addition of stabilizing agents (e.g., chemical or biological agents bound or otherwise linked to the nanoparticle surface) that stabilize the nanoparticle before, during, and/or after concentration, thereby allowing for the production of a stable, high optical density solution of silver nanoplates. The process can also include increasing the concentration of silver nanoplates within the solution, and thus increasing the solution optical density.
COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR TREATING CANCER
The present application provides compositions and methods for treating cancers, including follicular lymphoma, T cell lymphoma and adenoid cystic carcinoma, using an anti-CD137 antibody that specifically binds to an extracellular domain of human CD137. In some embodiment, combination therapies including the anti-CD137 antibody and an immune checkpoint inhibitor, and/or a chemotherapeutic agent are provided. Biomarkers such as total CD137, membrane bound CD137 (mCD137), soluble CD137 (sCD137), CD137 ligand, Ki67, CD8+ effector memory T (T.sub.em) cells, regulatory T (T.sub.reg) cells, and natural killer (NK) cell levels for the methods of treatment described herein are also provided.
