Ink set and method for producing printed matter
An ink set containing an inkjet ink and a treatment liquid used in combination with the inkjet ink, wherein the inkjet ink contains a pigment, a water-soluble organic solvent, a surfactant and water, the water-soluble organic solvent contains a glycol ether-based organic solvent having a specific structure, the treatment liquid contains a coagulant, the coagulant contains calcium nitrate in an amount of 6.8 to 20.8% by mass relative to the total mass of the treatment liquid, and the amount of compounds contained in the treatment liquid that have three or more hydroxyl groups is not more than 15% by mass relative to the total mass of the treatment liquid.
Water-based inkjet ink and production method for printed matter
One embodiment relates to a water-based inkjet ink containing at least water, a pigment, a water-soluble organic solvent and a binder resin, wherein the water-soluble organic solvent contains at least a water-soluble organic solvent having a surface tension of 30 to 50 mN/m and a boiling point at 1 atmosphere of 180 to 230° C., in an amount of 15 to 50% by weight relative to the total weight of the water-based inkjet ink, and the acid value of the binder resin is at least 5 mgKOH/g but less than 60 mgKOH/g.
Scratch-off coatings compatible with digital imaging
A security-enhanced document with a removable SOC is provided that is compatible with process color digital imaging, method and system for producing the document enhances production, and expands the aesthetics of the documents.
METHODS OF MAKING PAPER AND LABELS
Paper is disclosed for use in making repositionable or removable adhesive labels. The adhesive can be applied in patches or discrete areas to the paper or to a layer of material that cleans rollers in the manufacturing line and/or in printers. The adhesive can be applied in single or multiple layers. The paper is light weight paper and preferably thermal paper for use in POS printers.
SHEET WITH FEEDING PERFORATION
A printable sheet assembly and method provide for feeding cardstock sheets through a printer. The printable sheet assembly may include a first fold region. The first fold region comprises a robust perforated line disposed horizontally across the sheet assembly. The printable sheet assembly may include a second fold region. The second fold region may comprise a second robust perforated line disposed horizontally across the sheet assembly. The sheet assembly may include a product such as a name tag, business card, label, or card formed into the sheet assembly and configured to be processed through a printer device to receive indicia thereon.
PRINTABLE RECORDING MEDIA
A printable recording media that comprises a base substrate with an image-side and a back-side. An ink-receiving layer comprising, at least, a reactive crosslinking agent, inorganic pigment particles and/or mixture inorganic particles, and polymeric binders and/or mixture of polymeric binders, is applied to the image-side of the base substrate. Also described herein are a method for forming the printable recording media and a printing method that includes ejecting an ink composition onto the print media described herein.
PRINT MEDIA
The present disclosure is drawn to a base paper substrate that is cellulose-based and an ink-receiving layer on the base paper substrate. The ink-receiving layer, for example, includes a metal salt, inorganic particulates, a polymeric binder, and an emulsifier including a hydroxylated saturated hydrocarbon block including from 6 to 24 carbon atoms and a hydroxyl group and further includes a polyalkylene oxide block including form 10 to 35 polyalkylene oxide units selected from polyethylene oxide, polypropylene oxide, or a combination thereof.
Printable media and methods for forming an image on the same
A method of forming an image on a print media including releasably securing a fabric layer to a carrier layer, the carrier layer including a first surface including a first area, a second surface opposite the first surface, and a first rigidity, the fabric layer including a third surface, a fourth surface opposite the third surface and including a second area, and a second rigidity less than the first rigidity, and a first adhesive, wherein the fabric layer is secured to the carrier layer by the first adhesive bonding a first portion of the fourth surface to the first surface, applying a first liquid marking material to a first portion of the third surface of the fabric layer, and drying the first liquid marking material to the first portion of the third surface with a first dryer.
PRINTED MATTER MANUFACTURING METHOD, THERMAL TRANSFER PRINTING DEVICE, DETERMINATION SYSTEM, AND PRINTED MATTER
Micro characters are expressed by a thermal fusion transfer technique. In a printed matter manufacturing method, a printed matter is manufactured by heating a thermal transfer sheet in accordance with image data, the thermal transfer sheet including a base member, a release layer disposed on the base member and containing a wavelength conversion material that emits visible light with excitation by invisible light, and a thermally fusible ink layer disposed on the release layer, and by transferring the thermally fusible ink layer to a transfer-receiving body. In this method, the image data includes a first pattern and a second pattern. The second pattern is disposed on the first pattern and has a maximum width of a predetermined value or less.
Film for sheet fed printing, sheets formed from such film and labels formed from such sheets
A plurality of plastic sheets to be fed into a high speed printer for forming printed labels and similar articles and a stack of printed labels formed form the sheets. Each of the sheets or labels includes a core layer and opposed, upper and lower outer skin layers. The upper outer skin layer includes a polyolefin polymer as the predominant component, by weight, thereof and is capable of receiving printed indicia thereon. The core layer includes a polyolefin polymer as the predominant component, by weight, of the core layer; preferably a high crystallinity polypropylene homopolymer. The lower outer skin layer includes a polyolefin polymer as the predominant component by weight therein; the improvement wherein the lower outer skin layer includes a blend of organic and inorganic antiblocking agents or a blend of inorganic antiblocking agents; the blend including less than 10%, by weight, of the lower outer skin layer.
