Method Of Flexographic Printing Over A Textured Surface
Disclosed herein is a method for flexographically printing over a textured surface. The method comprises selecting a substrate for application of a print pattern and advancing the substrate through a flexographic coil paint line in order to apply a primer to at least one side of the substrate. Next a finish coat is flexographically applied to the primed substrate and due to a chemical reaction of the applied finish coat along with supplemental heating, the finish coat forms a textured surface. Next, a print pattern is flexographically applied atop the textured surface.
Adjustment method and arrangement for a printing machine
A method of adjusting a machine (1) for printing plate elements (12) equipped with at least one rotary impression cylinder (27) includes the steps of measuring a speed of the element (12, 13) passing through the machine (1), generating an operating signal (34) as a function of the measured speed and a tangential speed of the cylinder (27), and adjusting an operating speed of the machine (1) as a function of the signal generated so that the operating speed of the machine (1) is such that the speed of the element (12, 13) is substantially equal to the tangential speed of the cylinder (27).
Doctor Beam
A doctor beam for use in a printing unit, e.g. a flexographic printing unit, wherein the doctor beam has a front side with a U-shaped channel, wherein the doctor beam is made of metal and includes a surface coating produced by Plasma Electrolytic Oxidation (PEO), the surface coating at least covering the U-shaped channel, and wherein the doctor beam further includes a non-stick ceramic coating, whereby is achieved the possibility of using metal for making doctor beams without risking their degrading, neither due to chemical impact of the applied inks/lacquers/primers nor due to the destruction of the surface coating by cleaning liquids. The invention also concerns a method for treating the surface of a doctor beam and use of a doctor beam.
An End Ring for a Sleeve, a Sleeve adapted to receive such an End Ring, and a Sleeve Assembly incorporating such an End Ring
A sleeve assembly in which a pair of annular end rings are screwed into respective ends of an annular sleeve which includes around its inner surface a compressible liner. Respective surfaces of both end ring and sleeve are provided with specific complementary groove, chamfer, undercut or channel formations, and prior to screwing insertion of an end ring into a sleeve end, respective surfaces and formations are filled and covered with a viscous but fluent curable gasket forming composition such that amounts of gasket forming composition provided on and continuously around the end ring unite with corresponding amounts of gasket forming composition provided within and completely around corresponding surfaces of the sleeve as and when the end ring is completely screwed into a sleeve end. When the respective amounts of gasket forming composition provided on end ring and sleeve unite together and cure, effective rib or band-like rubberized seals are created.
COLOR PRINTED LAMINATED STRUCTURE, ABSORBENT ARTICLE COMPRISING THE SAME AND PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A process for manufacturing a disposable absorbent article is disclosed. The method includes providing a first layer having a first surface and an opposing second surface; color printing the first layer on at least one of the first or second surface; providing a second layer having a first and an opposing second surface; providing a topsheet, an absorbent core, and a backsheet; and placing the first layer and second layer between a topsheet and an absorbent core such that the color printing is visible through a wearer-facing surface of the disposable absorbent article.
EFFICIENT DISTRIBUTED NETWORK IMAGING OF INSTANT LOTTERY TICKETS
A computer-implemented method and system are provided for enabling digital imaging of both secure and non-secure areas of instant lottery tickets on demand across a geographically diverse network. Instant lottery tickets produced with this system accommodate smaller volume print runs, process color, and a greater level of customization.
Color printed laminated structure, absorbent article comprising the same and process for manufacturing the same
A process for manufacturing a disposable absorbent article is disclosed. The method includes providing a first nonwoven layer with bi-component fibers and having a first surface and an opposing second surface; color printing the first nonwoven layer on at least one of the first or second surface; providing a second nonwoven layer with bi-component fibers and a first and an opposing second surface; joining the first and the second nonwoven layers together to form a laminate structure, wherein the color printing faces the second nonwoven layer; providing a topsheet, an absorbent core, and a backsheet; and placing the laminate between a topsheet and an absorbent core such that the color printing is visible through the topsheet.
ROTARY PRINTING METHOD
The present invention relates to a rotary printing process for the application of functional coatings to a print substrate, to a coated print substrate produced by the said process, and to the use thereof, in particular in the packaging sector.
PHOTOSENSITIVE RESIN COMPOSITION
Provided is a photosensitive resin composition comprising a thermoplastic elastomer (A), a liquid farnesene rubber (B), an ethylenically unsaturated compound (C), and a photoinitiator (D).
INSULATOR FILM FORMATION METHOD BY FLEXOGRAPHIC PRINTING AND FLEXOGRAPHIC PRINTING PLATE
A method of forming an insulator film by flexographic printing is provided with which an insulator film is formed on a printing object by using ink as an insulator film material and a flexographic printing plate with halftone dots convexly formed on a convex portion thereof that defines a printing pattern. A halftone dot condition change region with a condition of the halftone dots varied such that an ink retention volume therein is smaller than that in other region on the convex portion is provided on a part of the convex portion corresponding to an edge of the printing pattern.
