Disclosed herein are compositions useful for the treatment and/or prevention of various skin conditions, including infections, via external and/or topical administration to a patient. The compositions described may be used to treat and/or prevent a variety of skin conditions, including acne, eczema, rosacea, hives, psoriasis, athlete's foot, candidiasis, shingles, chicken pox, cold sores, bacterial infections, viral infections, fungal infections, and the like. The compositions can be externally and/or topically administered to a patient, for example, as a spray or a wipe. Further, the compositions can also be externally and/or topically administered to a patient by, for example, applying the composition to a medical device that is then implanted into the patient or contacted with the patient.
