Method of customizing an article using a graphic transfer assembly
A method of customizing an article with graphics applied using a graphic transfer assembly is disclosed. The method includes a step of creating or selecting a customized graphic to be applied to an article. The article and the customized graphic are placed within the graphic transfer assembly. A deformable membrane may apply the customized graphic to curved portions of the article.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, PRINTER APPARATUS, AND IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD
An image processing apparatus controls an operation of a printer apparatus that prints an image on a sheet being attachable to skin. The image processing apparatus includes: an image acquirer that acquires a skin image; an image analyzer that extracts, from the skin image, a discolored region differing in color from surrounding skin by at least a predetermined level, and color of the surrounding skin; a print type determiner that determines, based on at least one of color and size of the discolored region, a print type that includes at least one of use/nonuse of a base material containing a white pigment, a particle shape of a print material used in the printing, a scheme of the printing, and use/nonuse of lamé powder; and a printing controller that outputs, to the printer apparatus, image data having a content of printing a print material in the surrounding color, on a region corresponding to the discolored region in the sheet, and controls an operation of the printer apparatus according to the determined print type.
DECORATIVE SHEET MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING FROSTED GLASS-LIKE DECORATIVE SHEET
A decorative sheet manufacturing method of the present invention is for manufacturing a frosted glass-like decorative sheet using an inkjet printer including a head unit provided with a plurality of nozzles for jetting liquid droplets of an ultraviolet curable ink and an ultraviolet irradiation unit that moves together with the head unit in a main scanning direction of the head unit and irradiates the liquid droplets jetted from the nozzles and landed on a main surface of a transparent base material with ultraviolet rays, the frosted glass-like decorative sheet having the transparent base material and a plurality of dots formed in a print region on the main surface of the transparent base material and formed of a cured product of the ultraviolet curable ink by carrying out inkjet printing having predetermined printing conditions in a multi-pass manner.
Method for Applying a Polymeric Film to a Substrate and Resulting Articles
A polymeric film assembly comprising a first solidified interlayer on a polymeric film or laminate comprising the same that is contacted with at least a portion of a surface of an underlying article to provide, for example, desired surface characteristics. At least a portion of the first solidified interlayer becomes a softened interlayer positioned between the polymeric film and the surface of the article when contacted as such. The softened interlayer is then converted to a second solidified interlayer, which second solidified interlayer may be in a different form than or same form as the first solidified interlayer initially provided, for adherence of the polymeric film to at least the portion of the surface of the article. Ease of removal and/or repair of polymeric film and laminates comprising the polymeric film that are so applied is facilitated.
OVER-LAMINATE FILM AND GRAPHIC LAMINATE
An over-laminate film applied to a decorative surface is described. In particular the over-laminate film includes: a transparent resin base film having a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface; a low gloss layer disposed on the first surface of the transparent resin base film; and a transparent adhesive layer disposed on the second surface of the transparent resin base film, the low gloss layer including a binder containing a resin, resin beads having an average particle size of 4 μm or greater and 20 μm or less, and nanosilica particles, the low gloss layer having surface glossiness of 5 GU or less at 60 degrees.
FILM
A film including a surface layer is described. In particular, the surface layer includes a low gloss layer including a binder containing a resin and resin beads having an average particle size of 4 μm to 20 μm, and a printed pattern partially covering the low gloss layer, a region of the low gloss layer not covered with the printed pattern exhibits a matte appearance with 1.5 GU or less at 60 degrees of a surface glossiness, a surface glossiness of a region of the printed pattern is higher than the surface glossiness of the region not covered with the printed pattern, and the film has a visible texture.
DECORATIVE CONTAINER WITH MULTIPLE FUNCTIONS
A candle Vessel/Container with a one-of-a-kind original art painting adhered to outer surface of vessel and epoxy applied to complete outer surface for years of protection of art. Vessel is shatterproof due to epoxy coating. Typical wick base, wick, and fuel (i.e. soy wax) is installed along with decorative top-surface medallion to complete candle.
Decorative sheet and decorative material using same
There are provided a decorative sheet which has excellent weatherability and in which white pigment particles are dispersed well, and a decorative material using the decorative sheet. The decorative sheet includes at least a substrate and a surface protective layer. The surface protective layer contains an ultraviolet absorber, and the substrate contains white pigment particles. The white pigment particles are titanium oxide particles having a coating containing Al element and Si element and formed on part or the whole of their surfaces, and contain Ti, Al and Si elements in the following mass ratio: when Ti is taken as 1, Al is not less than 0.02 and less than 0.20, and Si is more than 0.002 and not more than 0.070.
DECORATIVE FILM AND RADIATION CURABLE INKJET INK
A decorative film including a base film layer, a printed layer disposed on the base film layer, and a protective layer disposed on the printed layer and having a texture is described. The protective layer includes a cured product of a radiation curable inkjet ink which is obtained by inkjet printing, and the impact resistance of the decorative film at 10° C. is greater than or equal to 40 in-lbs. The decorative film is not cracked in a bending resistance test in accordance with JIS K 5600-5-1:1999.
