METHOD FOR PRODUCING A STRUCTURE ON A SURFACE
A method for manufacturing a structure on a surface of a workpiece (1) is disclosed, the method having the following steps: applying a liquid base layer (2) onto the surface of the workpiece (1); spraying on at least one droplet (3) into the not yet congealed base layer (2), wherein the at least one droplet (3) at least partially, preferably completely, penetrates into the base layer (2); fixing the base layer (2); and at least partially removing the at least one droplet (3).
Further, a second method having the following steps is disclosed: spraying on at least one droplet (3) onto the surface of the workpiece (1); applying a liquid base layer (2) onto the surface of the workpiece (1), wherein the base layer (2) flows around the at least one droplet (3) and preferably at least partially covers the at least one droplet (3); fixing the base layer (2); at least partially removing the at least one droplet (3).
Finally, a device for performing the methods is disclosed.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR SURFACE PROCESSING
A method for processing a surface (2) of a workpiece (1) is disclosed. Besides, a device for performing the method is disclosed.
FLOORBOARDS WITH DECORATIVE GROOVES
Floorboards which have a core and a surface layer and are provided with decorative joint edges which are formed by removing the surface layer. A method for making a floorboard, or a floor element that is to be divided into at least two floorboards, the method including making a core from a sheet shaped material, from which a part of a locking system for vertical locking of the floorboards is to be formed, impregnating and/or staining the core surface with a substance at least in portions which in the completed floorboard will constitute a joint edge of the completed floorboard, and arranging an surface layer on the core surface.
Unobtrusive markings using a chlorophyll-based agent
An improved advertising system can include a location having a substantially large expanse of living greenery, a predetermined design for an advertisement, and a chlorophyll-based agent. The location can be observable by viewers at a predefined minimum viewing distance. The chlorophyll-based agent can be used to paint the predetermined design on the living greenery. The chlorophyll-based agent can be non-detrimental to the health of the living greenery. The predetermined design painted on the living greenery with the chlorophyll-based agent can be only viewable by viewers at the predefined minimum viewing distance. Living greenery treated with the chlorophyll-based agent can be visibly distinguishable from and shinier than neighboring untreated living greenery. When a viewer is nearer than the minimum predefined viewing distance, a difference in shine and color between the treated living greenery and the untreated living greenery can be substantially unnoticeable.
Platform movement systems and methods of using the same
Platform movement systems and methods of using the same. A system for moving a platform of the present disclosure can include a first actuator pivotally attached to a base, the first actuator having a first rod positioned therethrough and configured to move the first rod in a first direction and an opposing second direction along a first rod axis; a second actuator pivotally attached to the base, the second actuator having a second rod positioned therethrough and configured to move the second rod in a first direction and an opposing second direction along a second rod axis; an arm attached to the base using an arm connector; and a platform coupled to the first rod, the second rod, and the arm, the platform configured to move about the base upon operation of the first actuator and/or the second actuator.
Metal plate, patterning apparatus and patterning method using the same
Disclosed herein are a metal plate including a plurality of pattern portions, a patterning apparatus configured to form a plurality of patterns on the metal plate, and a patterning method using the same. The metal plate to be used in a household appliance includes a plurality of pattern portions in which a hairline pattern is formed on a surface of the metal plate, wherein the plurality of pattern portions includes a first pattern portion having a first hairline pattern and a second pattern portion having a second hairline pattern different from the first hairline pattern.
INKJET PROCESS FOR THREE-DIMENSIONAL RELIEF ON TILES
A technique is described for the application of three-dimensional (3D) relief to a substrate such as a ceramic tile using digital inkjet technology. In an example embodiment, the introduced technique includes application of binder ink to a portion of the surface of a substrate using a digital inkjet process. This binder ink forms a barrier layer which protects the portion of the surface of the substrate. Next, a brushing process is applied to remove unprotected portions of the substrate, thereby forming the 3D relief in the substrate.
Three-dimensional graphics made on grass using a chlorophyll-based agent
A system for creating three-dimensional grass graphics can include a means for cutting grass with an adjustable cutting height, a chlorophyll-based agent for coloring grass, and at least one stencil. The chlorophyll-based agent can be non-detrimental to a health of the grass and can be available in multiple shades. The stencil can be securable to the grass and can define a graphic to be painted on the grass using the chlorophyll-based agent. The means for cutting the grass can be able to pass over and around the stencil without damaging the stencil. Application of different shades of the chlorophyll-based agent to varying heights of grass can produce a three-dimensional effect for the graphic when viewed.
Floorboards with decorative grooves
Disclosed is a method for making a decorative groove between joint edges on a laminate floorboard. The floorboard includes an upper layer and an underlying layer. The method involves fixing the floorboard between at least one chain and at least one band, displacing the floorboard relative to a milling machine, and removing at least a part of the upper layer, so that a surface of the underlying layer is uncovered, by a tool that performs machining between the at least one chain. The surface of the underlying layer defines at least a portion of a visible width of the decorative groove.
DECORATIVE SHEET
Embodiments relate to a decorative sheet having a hairline design and including successively, from a front surface side thereof, (A) a layer of a transparent resin film and (B) a layer of an ink paint film containing high brightness pigment. A plurality of linear hairline grooves is provided on a surface of the transparent resin film on a side thereof facing (B) the layer of the ink paint film containing the high brightness pigment. The decorative sheet has a surface resistivity of 110.sup.5 or more on a rear surface side thereof. When the decorative sheet is placed on a dirt comparison chart created by the NPB in an environment of an illuminance of 600 lux, and is illuminated from below the chart at an illuminance of 17000 lux, a figure having a size of 5 mm.sup.2 on the chart can be visually discriminated. When the decorative sheet is placed on a gray scale for soiling stipulated in JIS L0805:2005 in an environment of an illuminance of 500 lux, the color difference between color chips numbers 4 and 5 cannot be visually discriminated.
