Tattoo removal is disclosed. In an example, a method for removing tattoo ink from skin or resolving a medical condition related to tattoo ink, includes applying a primary solution of beta glucan to a treatment area having tattooed skin. The primary solution stimulates the skin in the treatment area to enhance removal of the tattoo ink from the skin. The example method also includes coating the treatment area with a secondary solution. The secondary solution may have an absorbent material to draw in loose ink. The example method also includes disrupting a skin barrier in the treatment area by a needle or ablative device to improve penetration of at least one of the primary solution and the secondary solution.

HYPOCHLOROUS ACID-BASED EYELID CLEANSERS

An antimicrobial eyelid cleanser composition contains: (a) a hypohalous acid; (b) one or more surfactants having a HLB value of 5 to 18; and (c) an aqueous vehicle, the aqueous vehicle comprising: (i) one or more tonicity adjusters; (ii) one or more osmolality adjusters for adjusting an osmolality of the composition; and (iii) one or more pH adjusters for maintaining the pH of the composition at between about 4.5 to about 8.0. The composition can be dispensed in a foam, liquid, spray, mist, gel or lotion form. The composition can facilitate long term eyelid hygiene by removing excess oil, debris and desquamated skin and provide relief for inflammation of the eyes.

A cosmetic composition including a metal chelation system includes a combination of ascorbic acid, ferulic acid and phytic acid in a carrier system that includes water, and further includes one or more other ingredients for providing one of a variety of forms of cosmetic products. The cosmetic composition demonstrates removal of free metal ions in material contacted with the cosmetic composition, the removal of free metal ions in a range from at least about 40% and up to about 99%.

OIL-IN-WATER CLEANSING COSMETIC COMPOSITION

Provided is an oil-in-water cleansing cosmetic composition. The oil-in-water cleansing cosmetic composition comprises: (A) carboxylic acid-modified silicone that is liquid at 50° C.; (B) 3 to 80 mass % of an oil agent relative to the total mass of the cosmetic composition; (C) water; and (D) a basic compound. An amount of an ionic surfactant other than the carboxylic acid-modified silicone (A) that is liquid at 50° C. is 10 mass % or less relative to the total mass of the cosmetic composition. In general, the oil-in-water cleansing cosmetic composition quickly blends with makeup grime, has a high makeup removing effect, and has excellent stability.
