A vehicle wheel includes a rim having an inner peripheral surface, and a center disc. The center disc includes a disc portion, and an arm plate portion extending radially outward from the disc portion. The arm plate portion includes an outer boundary defined by a plurality of arc outer peripheral surfaces and a plurality of concave boundary surfaces. The plurality of arc outer peripheral surfaces have a radius equal to a radius of the inner peripheral surface of the rim. The plurality of arc outer peripheral surfaces are joined to the inner peripheral surface of the rim at a weld attachment interface to produce a plurality of holes defined by the plurality of concave boundary surfaces and the inner peripheral surface of the rim.

A vehicle wheel comprising a wheel rim with a rim base made from fiber composite material and a wheel disc. The wheel disc is connected to the wheel rim by a connecting element which is guided through a passage of the rim base and is received in the wheel disc. The wheel rim comprises a connecting arrangement with at least one connecting element and a seal element which covers in a complete and hollow manner a part of one or more adjacent connecting arrangements that extends across the rim outer side of the rim base. A circumferential edge of the seal element is glued in air-tight manner to the rim well. Alternatively, the wheel rim comprises a connecting arrangement with a connecting element and a flexible sealing layer made from plastic and completely covers, by coating, a part of the connecting arrangement which extends over the rim outer side of the rim base. An edge region of the flexible seal layer is connected in an air-tight manner to the rim base.
VEHICLE WHEEL HAVING A CONNECTION BETWEEN A WHEEL RIM AND A WHEEL DISC AND METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION THEREOF
A vehicle wheel may include a wheel rim and a wheel disc connected to an inner side of the wheel rim. The wheel disc may be connected to the wheel rim by a connecting element that is guided through a through-hole of the rim base and inserted in the wheel disc. The through-hole is arranged in the tire seat of the rim base and the connecting element is joined substantially in the direction of the radial extension of the wheel disc which is associated to the tire seat on the inner side of the rim. In the method for producing the wheel the connection between wheel rim and wheel disc is produced in the region of the tire seat of the rim base, and, after the insertion of the connecting element into the wheel disc, a portion of the connecting element protruding the contour of the outer side of the rim of the tire seat is shaped so that the connecting element conforms to the contour of the outer side of the rim of the tire seat.

An automobile hub of a multilayer rim includes a wheel disc and a rim that is composed of at least two layers of metal rings by nesting, and a gap is preset between two adjacent metal rings; an outer side of one end of the wheel disc includes axial rim mounting grooves, and one end of the rim is inserted into the rim mounting grooves to fix the rim to the wheel disc.

Disclosed is a vehicle wheel having a wheel rim and a wheel disc connected to an inner side of the wheel rim. The wheel disc is connected to the wheel rim by a connecting element which is guided through a through-hole of the rim base and inserted in the wheel disc. The through-hole is arranged in the tire seat of the rim base and the connecting element is joined substantially in the direction of the radial extension of the wheel disc which is associated to the tire seat on the inner side of the rim. COMPOSITE WHEEL ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF CONSTRUCTION THEREOF
A composite wheel assembly and method of construction thereof is provided. The composite wheel assembly includes a lightweight annular aluminum barrel having an inner surface and an outer surface configured to support a tire thereon. A lightweight metal central hub assembly is fixed to the barrel. The metal central hub assembly includes a central hub portion and plurality of support spokes extending outwardly from the central hub portion to free ends, wherein the free ends are fixed to the inner surface of the aluminum barrel. A wheel cladding contrasting in at least one of material type, color, texture and surface finish to an outwardly facing surface the central hub assembly is fixed to the outwardly facing surface of the central hub assembly.
WHEEL COMPRISING A WHEEL RIM AND A WHEEL DISC
The invention relates to a wheel, especially for motor vehicles, comprising a wheel rim and a wheel disc, the wheel rim having a rim base made of fiber composite material. The invention is characterized in that the wheel disc (3, 11, 20, 29, 40) can be indirectly connected to the wheel rim (1), in particular the rim base (2), by means of a connecting element (5, 14, 22, 31, 35, 42) which is designed and associated with the rim base (2) in such a way that the connected wheel disc (3, 11, 20, 29, 40) is not in contact with the rim base (2).
A NEW GENERATION PASSENGER VEHICLE STEEL WHEEL
The present invention provides a new style or design for a steel wheel 200 in passenger vehicle with improvement in performance and aesthetics. In the new design of the steel wheel 200, a vent-hole outer region 214 is folded 206 inwardly to form two ends, wherein one end is welded to an outboard bead seat 212 of the steel wheel rim and the other end welded to a portion of an outboard flange portion 204. The inward folding 206 of the vent hole outer region 214 increases the vent-hole 205 area and thereby improves better air flow and cooling of a brake drum. The passenger vehicle steel wheel 200 design enables for spot welding throughout the circumference of the rim-disc contact surface for better contact and higher load/moment transfer. Further, the passenger vehicle steel wheel 200 may utilize an existing rim without any special machining or modification.
