ANTIDANDRUFF COMPOSITION
An antidandruff composition includes about 0.1 to about 1% by weight of a natural oil containing a mixture of C12 and C14 alkyl groups derived from coconut oil; about 6% by weight of a non-ionic surfactant having at least 16 carbon atoms; about 2% by weight of an antidandruff agent; about 1.5% by weight of a cationic surfactant; about 1.5% by weight of a quaternary ammonium salt; and at least 75% by weight of water. A method of making an antidandruff composition includes combining a natural oil containing a mixture of C12 and C14 alkyl groups, a non-ionic surfactant having at least 16 carbon atoms, an antidandruff agent, a cationic surfactant, a quaternary ammonium salt, and water, forming the antidandruff composition.
Concentrated shampoo dosage of foam for providing hair care benefits
Described herein is dosage of foam including from about 5 cm.sup.3 to about 70 cm.sup.3 of the foam. The foam includes from about 0.5 g to about 4 g of a detersive surfactant; from about 0.001 g to about 4 g propellant; a foam density of from about 0.02 g/cm.sup.3 to about 0.25 g/cm.sup.3; and a bubble size distribution having an R.sub.32 of from about 5 μm to about 150 μm.
Hair care compositions comprising malodor reduction compositions
The present invention relates to hair care compositions comprising malodor reduction compositions and methods of using such hair care compositions. Such hair care compositions comprising the malodor control technologies disclosed herein provide malodor control without leaving an undesirable scent and when perfume is used to scent such compositions, such scent is not unduly altered by the malodor control technology.
SILICON FREE HAIR CONDITIONING COMPOSITION
A hair conditioning composition that is silicone free is described. The composition includes a fatty acid ester, a cationic surfactant and optional high melting fatty compound, an optional organic acid, an optional cationic polymer, an optional zwitterionic compound and an optional antidandruff compound.
Use
The present invention relates to the use of erythrulose as antimicrobial agent as well as to composition comprising said agent.
USE OF DIANHYDROHEXITOL TO ELIMINATE THE COSMETIC EFFECTS OF ACNE, DANDRUFF AND BAD ODORS
The present application pertains to the field of cosmetics, more specifically the field of antimicrobial and/or bacteriostatic and/or bactericidal cosmetic agents, preferentially acting on bacterial and/or fungal strains on the human epidermis. Proposed is a use of dianhydrohexitol, preferentially isosorbide, to reduce the number of bacterial or fungal strains on the skin, in particular in the cutaneous microbiome, causing acne, dandruff buildup and bad odors.
SUPERIOR EFFICACY OF AZOXYSTROBIN AND OTHER STROBILURINS
The present invention is directed to a personal care composition comprising azoxystrobin having a minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of less than 1.0 ppm against Malassezia and at least a 4 times or greater MIC against Malassezia compared to strobilurins selected from the group consisting of pyraclostrobin, fluoxastrobin, dimoxystrobin, kresoxim-methyl, trifloxystrobin, or orysastrobin.
SYNERGISTIC ANTI-INFLAMMATORY COMPOSITIONS
The present invention is directed to a personal composition comprising a) a strobilurin; b) salicylic acid wherein the ratio of a:b is from about 1:1 to about 100:1; wherein there is a synergistic anti-inflammatory/cellular stress activity.
AZOXYSTROBIN EFFICACY IN SCALP HEALTH
The present invention is directed to use of azoxystrobin to decrease the number of flakes on a surface; the use of azoxystrobin to decrease itch on a surface as perceived by a user; the use of azoxystrobin to decrease the level of myeloperoxidase on a surface as an indicator of decrease of oxidative stress and damage. The present invention is directed to the use of azoxystrobin wherein the azoxystrobin is applied from a personal care composition such as a shampoo, conditioner or leave on treatment.
Antimicrobial personal cleansing compositions
An antimicrobial personal cleansing composition comprises: (i) an aqueous continuous phase including cleansing surfactant, (ii) a dispersed phase including dispersed particles of zinc-containing antimicrobial agents; and (iii) a solubilised oily liquid conditioning agent for skin and/or hair; which is light mineral oil having a kinematic viscosity of 3 to 5 cS (mm.sup.2.Math.s.sup.−1) at 40° C. and is solubilised in wormlike micelles in the aqueous continuous phase via the incorporation of an inorganic electrolyte and a linker molecule of formula R(X).sub.n, wherein R is a C.sub.6-C.sub.10 aryl ring or a C.sub.3-C.sub.14 mono-, di- or trivalent alkyl or hydroxyalkyl chain; n is 1 to 3 and each X is independently selected from —OH, —COOH and —COO.sup.−M.sup.+ groups, where M is an alkali metal, ammonium or alkanolammonium cation; and in which the level of solubilised oily liquid conditioning agent is 0.45 to 3% by weight based on the total weight of the composition.
