The present invention provides a vehicle wheel configured to assemble a motor having an uneven weight distribution. The vehicle wheel comprising a rim having an asymmetric structure. The rim comprising a drop center (202) for mounting a tire, side sections (204A-D) extending axially outward from both sides of the drop center (202), bead bases (208A-D) extending axially outwards from said side sections (204A-D), and flanges (210A-D) disposed axially outward of said bead bases. The bead bases having non symmetrical lengths to compensate the uneven weight distribution of said motor on the rim. The drop center having a drop diameter that is compatible with the diameter of the motor for inserting and encapsulating said motor therein, and the asymmetric structure of the rim compensates the uneven weight distribution of said motor on the rim, thus, maintains said wheel balanced with a minimal overall offset from the center line of the rim.

An apparatus for reducing tire noise may include a rim with a tire mounted thereto in a wheel; a resonance tube provided along an external circumferential surface of the rim, and configured such that a first edge portion thereof in a width direction is provided with a first flange locked to a first side wall of the rim and a second edge portion thereof in the width direction is provided with a second flange; a strap provided along the external circumferential surface of the rim to surround the second flange of the resonance tube such that the resonance tube is brought into contact with the external circumferential surface of the rim; and a protruding portion configured to protrude from the external circumferential surface of the rim to prevent the resonance tube and the strap from being moved in the width direction thereof.

Vehicle tyre with enhanced bead contour

A pneumatic tyre comprises a tread portion, a pair of opposing sidewall portions and a pair of opposing bead portions, the tread portion extending radially outwards from the sidewall portions and the sidewall portions extending radially outwards from the bead portions, wherein each bead portion comprises an axially inward side and an axially outward side which are joined at a base of the bead portion and each axially outward side of the bead portion comprises a concave region extending axially inwards. Each concave region further comprises a convex region located within the concave region which extends axially outwards.

BICYCLE RIM FOR TUBELESS TIRE

Bicycle rims that allow tires to be more easily mounted in a tubeless configuration are disclosed. More specifically, a bicycle rim may control the two beads of the tire with separate bead channels for each bead and a center bridge extending between the two bead channels.

BICYCLE RIM WITH ENLARGED OUTER RADIAL EDGES

A bicycle rim for carrying a tire. The rim includes a circumferential tire bed including first and second opposing edge regions a circumferential spoke face, and first and second side walls extending from the spoke face to the first and second edge regions, respectively. The first and second side walls include first and second side wall extensions radially extending from the first and second opposing side regions and terminating at first and second outer radial edges, respectively. Each of the first and second outer radial edges defining a maximum width that is at least 3.8 mm. The thickness of the first and second side wall extensions varies with respect to a central radial axis. The thickness of the first and second side wall extensions is greater at the first and second outer radial edges than at a location radially spaced from the first and second outer radial edges and adjacent to the first and second opposing end regions, respectively.

Rim for a Wheel

A non-metallic rim for a wheel which may be used for motorised vehicles. The rim has a barrel, a first flange, a second flange, a first bead seat, a second beat seat and a primary structural component. The primary structural component extends into at least the first flange and the barrel, and the primary structural component is capable of bearing the majority of the radial and/or lateral load that is borne by the rim during usage. Additionally, the rim has at least a portion of the first bead seat spaced apart from the primary structural component and/or has a protective insert in between the outer face of the first flange and the primary structural component.
