The wheel bearing has an outer ring and an inner ring, which is rotatable with respect to the outer ring around an axis of rotation and is connected to the wheel hub. A wheel flange extends from the wheel hub and, as viewed in the axial direction, has a brake disk mount, which is open in the direction facing away from the outer ring and which, as viewed in longitudinal section with respect to the axis of rotation, is formed by a recess of the wheel flange, and has a support surface for a brake disk.
WHEEL BEARING ASSEMBLY
A wheel bearing assembly according to one embodiment of the present disclosure may comprise a wheel hub, at least one inner ring, an outer ring, and one or more rolling elements. According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, an accommodation space may be formed inward of a vehicle-body-side end portion of the wheel hub to accommodate a constant velocity joint, and a plurality of recesses for accommodating rotating elements of the constant velocity joint are formed on an inner peripheral surface of the accommodation space to be spaced apart from each other along a circumferential direction. According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, a first heat-treated hardened portion may be formed on the inner peripheral surface of the accommodation space, wherein the first heat-treated hardened portion may be formed to have portions with which the rotating elements of the constant velocity joint is brought into contact. According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, a second heat-treated hardened portion may formed on an outer peripheral surface of the wheel hub, wherein the first heat-treated hardened portion and the second heat-treated hardened portion may be formed so as not to overlap each other.
Wheel bearing arrangement for a motor vehicle
A wheel bearing arrangement for a motor vehicle, including a wheel support and a wheel hub which is rotatably mounted on the wheel support by a wheel bearing in order to secure a wheel and to which a shaft is rotationally fixed, wherein a wheel bearing seal sealingly lies, on the one hand, against an inner ring of the wheel bearing, said inner ring sitting on the wheel hub, and, on the other hand, against an outer ring of the wheel bearing, said outer ring being secured to the wheel support. It is provided here that a wheel bearing pre-seal is rotationally fixed to the shaft adjacently to the wheel bearing and engages by a seal protrusion in a pre-seal receiving area formed in at least some sections between the outer ring and the wheel support.
WHEEL BEARING ASSEMBLY
A wheel bearing assembly may include a wheel hub having a hub flange; one or more inner rings configured to be mounted to one side of the wheel hub; an outer ring provided radially outward of the one or more inner rings; a spacer coupled to a vehicle-body-side end portion of an inner ring disposed on a vehicle-body-side; and one or more rolling elements provided between the one or more inner rings and the outer ring. The one or more inner rings may be configured to be held on the wheel hub by plastically deforming a vehicle-body-side end portion of the wheel hub in a radially outward direction. A plurality of recesses for accommodating rotating elements of a constant velocity joint may be formed on an inner peripheral surface of the vehicle-body-side end portion of the wheel hub in a spaced-apart relationship with each other along a circumferential direction.
Fixed constant velocity universal joint, and bearing device for wheels
A fixed type constant velocity universal joint includes an outer joint member having a cup shape, an inner joint member, which is received in the outer joint member, and transmits torque between the inner and outer joint members through intermediation of balls while allowing angular displacement, and a hollow shaft, which is coupled to the inner joint member so as to allow torque transmission. A threaded hole is formed in a bottom portion of the outer joint member along an axial direction. A recessed hole is formed to be open in a shaft end portion of the hollow shaft opposed to the threaded hole. An embedded stopper that enters the threaded hole is press-fitted into the recessed hole. The embedded stopper is retractable into the hollow shaft in a press-fitting direction.
STEERING JOINT ASSEMBLY
The present disclosure relates to a steering joint assembly comprising an axle beam, a first king pin rigidly mounted on the axle beam, a steering knuckle, and a first spherical plain bearing rotatably connecting the first king pin to the steering knuckle.
Wheel bearing device
A wheel bearing device includes a wheel bearing supported by a knuckle; a hub ring having a boss portion; a second constant-velocity joint; and a first constant-velocity joint. The second constant-velocity joint includes an outer ring rotatably supported by the wheel bearing, and an inner ring coupled to the boss portion of the hub ring. The first constant-velocity joint includes an outer ring coupled to the outer race of the second constant-velocity joint, and an inner ring coupled to a drive shaft. The knuckle supports a pair of camber angle-adjusting linear motion actuators, and a pair of toe angle-adjusting linear motion actuators.
DRIVE AXLE ASSEMBLY
A drive axle assembly capable of reducing drag torque by eliminating an inner bearing seal from a wheel bearing and capable of reducing the generation of frictional noise at corrugations of a boot. The drive axle assembly includes a wheel bearing assembled with a wheel housing, an outer ring having a ring shape and including an outer-diameter portion secured to an outer wheel of a wheel bearing, a boot including a large-diameter portion formed at one end thereof and assembled with an inner-diameter portion of the outer ring, and a bearing seal unit disposed between a small-diameter portion formed at the other end of the boot and a drive shaft to restrict rotation of the boot and to prevent introduction of foreign substances.
