Bicycle hub
11673425 · 2023-06-13 · ·

A bicycle hub includes an axle, a main body, a freehub body, and a clutch, which are engaged with the axle, wherein the clutch includes a first ratchet and a second ratchet. The first ratchet and the second ratchet are respectively engaged with the main body and the freehub body. The first ratchet has a first engaging surface, and the second ratchet has a second engaging surface facing the first engaging surface. The bicycle hub is characterized in that a minimum of number of first ratchet teeth on the first engaging surface is seventy-two, and a number of the second ratchet teeth on the second engaging surface is lesser than the number of first ratchet teeth. With such design, when the first ratchet is meshed with the second ratchet, the freehub body could stably drive the main body, and a total weight of the bicycle hub could be decreased.

HUB, IN PARTICULAR FOR BICYCLES
20220355617 · 2022-11-10 ·

A hub for partially muscle-powered vehicles, including a hollow hub axle with a cylindrical inner through hole for the passage of a clamping axle, a hub shell rotatably supported relative to the hub axle by two hub bearings, a rotor rotatably supported relative to the hub axle, and a freewheel device with a hub-side freewheel component and a rotor-side freewheel component, each having axial engagement components for engagement with one another. The hub shell is rotatably supported relative to the hub axle in a rotor-side end region by a rotor-side hub bearing, and in an opposite end region of the hub shell by another hub bearing. The hub-side freewheel component is non-rotatably connected with the hub shell. The rotor-side freewheel component is non-rotatably connected with the rotor and is movable in the axial direction relative to the rotor and the hub shell between a freewheel position and an engagement position.

Wheel hub arrangement for a drive with rotated drum that has a stationary shaft (13); a hollow drum (19, 20) arranged by bearings around it, a wheel drum (32) that includes a hub of the driven wheel, and freewheels, inner sleeve (21, 22) which are arranged around the stationary shaft (13) by bearings, and placed partially in the cavity of the drum (19, 20). The wheel hub arrangement for a drive with rotated drum for bicycles, street stepper vehicles, wheelchairs and tricycles.

BICYCLE TRANSMISSION
20170291449 · 2017-10-12 ·

A bicycle transmission includes an axle, an input component, a power transmission mechanism, a shift mechanism and an output component. The input component receives manually applied rotational force. The output component is rotatably supported by the axle. The power transmission mechanism transmits the rotational force of the input component to the output component through one of a plurality of power transmission paths. The shift mechanism includes a shift input member, a shift control member, a first saver spring and a second saver spring. The shift input member is settable in a plurality of rotational positions. The shift control member rotates in conjunction with movement of the shift input member to select one of the power transmission paths. In the shift mechanism, as the shift input member rotates in the first direction, the shift control member receives the rotational force applied in a first direction through the first saver spring.

CASSETTE DRIVER FOR A FREEWHEEL HUB
20170284481 · 2017-10-05 ·

Forward movement of a bicycle results when force is transfer from the chain or belt to a sprocket on a cassette. The cassette is splined to the cassette driver and causes the wheel of the bike to rotate when torque is applied from the cassette to the cassette driver. The cassette driver is typically made of a strong hard material such as steel to withstand the forces in parted thereon by the cassette. The present disclosure provide a hub configuration and method that enables the cassette driver to be made with construction of a lighter weight material such as aluminum yet still withstand the toque applied thereto.

BICYCLE HUB ASSEMBLY AND BICYCLE TRANSMISSION SYSTEM

A bicycle hub assembly comprises a hub axle, a hub shell, a sprocket support body, and a clutch. The sprocket support body is rotatably mounted on the hub axle to rotate about a rotational axis. The sprocket support body is rotatable relative to the hub axle and the hub shell about the rotational axis. The clutch has a first coupling state where a pedaling rotational force is transmitted from the sprocket support body to the hub shell in a first rotational direction during pedaling, a first release state where the hub shell is rotatable relative to the sprocket support body in the first rotational direction during coasting, and a second coupling state where a coasting rotational force is transmitted from the hub shell to the sprocket support body in the first rotational direction during coasting.
