An assembly of an outer ring and a knuckle comprises an outer ring used in a wheel bearing and a knuckle for connecting the outer ring to a suspension system. The outer ring comprises a body having a hollow formed in an axial direction of a rotation axis, a mounting portion extending in an outer radial direction and a circumferential direction of the body and having a plurality of first mounting holes formed thereon, and at least one mating protrusion formed on an outer circumferential surface of the body. The knuckle comprises a step portion configured to mate with the mating protrusion in an axial direction of the body. A plurality of second mounting holes corresponding to the plurality of first mounting holes are formed on the knuckle. The mating protrusion has one of a plurality of mating shapes having different shapes.

Drive wheel clutch system
10781864 · 2020-09-22 · ·

A drive wheel clutch system for manually disengaging one or more drive wheels from their driveshafts. The drive wheel clutch system generally includes a driveshaft, a flange at one end of the driveshaft, and a flange-engaging member. The flange-engaging member and the flange may be generally disc shaped. The flange-engaging member is spring loaded and includes locking members that can extend through apertures in the flange to engage with locking apertures in the hub of a drive wheel. An operator can pull against spring bias and rotate a handle connected to the flange-engaging member to disengage the locking members from the flange and the hub, allowing the wheel to turn freely while the driveshaft remains stationary.

An L-shaped bushing assembly having a retainer pin sleeve and axle sleeve. An L-shaped retainer pin is fitted to the retainer pin sleeve and provides a handle piece that projects through the walls of the bushing assembly and wheel that is maneuverable to retract and release the retainer pin and wheel from a grooved axle. The L-shaped retainer pin and bias spring are alternatively mounted in single and multi-channel slots to facilitate retainer pin mounting and/or containment of the retainer pin at a storage position. The retainer pin sleeve slots and/or a transverse open slot facilitate cooperation of a wheel removal tool with the retainer pin(s).

A removable spindle assembly improvement comprised of a spindle housing end unit having a threaded cavity. A corresponding threaded removable spindle is torqued into the threaded cavity. The spindle has a tapered section that includes O-rings for creating a seal along the corresponding section of the cavity to prevent corrosion which assists in the elimination of spindle seizure within the spindle housing end unit's cavity. The spindle assembly has an interlocking key assembly that assists in securing the spindle. The spindle housing end unit's housing includes a threaded aperture that cooperates with a sealed set screw for securing the spindle in place during operation. This assembly facilitates easy removal and replacement of a spindle on a spring axle.

BICYCLE TRANSMISSION ACTUATION SYSTEM

The invention relates to a bicycle including a frame with a fork, the fork having dropouts between which a wheel axle is mounted. The wheel axle includes a sensor and/or an electric component arranged to be connected to a control element. A detachable electric connection is provided between the sensor and/or electric component and the control element. The detachable electric connection is positioned between the wheel axle and the thru-axle.
