MEDICAL DEVICE WITH AN OMNI-WHEEL AND AN OMNI-WHEEL ARRANGEMENT
The present invention relates to an omni wheel (312, 312, 312) and an omni wheel arrangement allowing for easy movement of a medical device by using braking devices (307a, 307b, 307c, 307d).
Caster System For Mobile Apparatus
A mobile imaging device includes a base having at least one caster, a first drive mechanism that moves the system in a transport mode and translates an imaging component relative to the base in a scan mode, and a second drive mechanism that extends caster relative to the base to raise the base off the ground in the transport mode, and retracts the caster relative to the base to lower the base to the ground in the scan mode. A caster system for a mobile apparatus includes a base containing a housing and a caster, attached to the base, the caster having a wheel defining a wheel axis and a swivel joint defining a swivel axis and a pivot point defining a pivot axis, wherein the caster pivots on the pivot axis as the caster is retracted into the housing and extended out of the housing.
BRAKE ASSEMBLY OF A TRANSPORTING MEANS FOR A PATIENT HANDLING APPARATUS
Brake assembly (18) of a transporting means (20) for a patient handling apparatus (10). The brake assembly (18) is adapted to control movements of a wheel (14a) of at least one rear caster (14) by a brake actuator (18a). The brake actuator (18a) is adapted to be coupled to a caster neck (14c) of said at least one rear caster (14). The caster neck (14c) extends through a lift base (11) of the patient handling apparatus (10) such that the brake actuator (18a) is located on top of the lift base (11) and the wheel (14a) of the rear caster (14) is located below the lift base (11).
Wheel with High Strength Flexible Spokes
A wheel with high strength flexible spokes of the present invention, including a rim and hub, and spokes between the rim and hub made of fibrous material that causes the spokes to be both lighter in weight and stronger than comparable steel spokes. The spokes are also flexible and resilient such that they can bend while retaining their integrity and strength. The wheel includes a nipple within the rim that receives the high strength spoke and allows for flexibility in adapting the spoke to wheels having differing shapes and sizes.
Wheel and a wheelchair using the same
Provided is a wheel which is inexpensive, light, and sufficiently rigid. A wheel 6a includes an annular rim 60 to which a tire 6b is externally fitted, a hub 61 which is arranged at a center portion of the rim 60 and to which an axle is connected, and a disk 62 which is attached with the rim 60 at a periphery portion and which covers one side of the wheel 6a. The disk 62 includes a planar portion 62a and a first rib 62b provided at a surface of one side of the planar portion 62a and extending in the radial direction. The planar portion 62a is provided with a first groove 62d at a surface of the other side at a position corresponding to the first rib 62b.
WHEELCHAIR FRAME
A tube assembly for a wheelchair frame comprises a tubular member having at least a first portion and a second portion angled relative to the first portion, the first portion configured to be in a seating zone of the wheelchair frame. The second portion is configured to be in a bottom front zone of the wheelchair frame, the tubular member defining a surface concavity in its peripheral surface delimited by a peripheral step, the surface concavity located at a junction between the first portion and the second portion of the tubular member. An interface member has a peripheral contour shaped and sized for the interface member to be received in the surface concavity and contoured at least partially by the peripheral step.
WHEELCHAIR BACKREST AND REAR WHEEL ASSEMBLY
A system of bracket assemblies for a wheelchair comprises a pair of bracket assemblies adapted to be connected to respective sides of a seat frame of the wheelchair. Each of the bracket assemblies has a base adapted to be secured to a seat frame member of the seat frame, an arm adapted to be secured to a backrest frame member of a backrest frame, and a pivot pivotally connecting the base to the arm for rotational movement of the arm relative to the base. One or more blocking mechanism blocks the rotational movement of the arm relative to the base in a use orientation of the backrest frame. A rod having opposed ends connected to the base of the pair of the bracket assemblies for spacing the bracket assemblies away from one another. A rear wheel unit is also provided.
A SPACING BAR OF A WHEELCHAIR FRAME
A spacing bar of a wheelchair frame comprising an elongated structural body having a pair of opposite ends, each of the opposite ends having a C-shaped clamp configured for being clamped to respective lateral frame members of the wheelchair frame, wherein the elongated structural body and the C-shaped clamps are integrally made of a monocoque composite construction, and a tightening assembly for each of the C-shaped clamps, the tightening assemblies being arranged in the spacing bar to loosen and tighten the C- shaped clamps to the respective lateral frame members. A wheelchair frame comprising: a pair of lateral frame members configured to support at least a seat, and front and rear wheel units, the lateral frame members each having an elongated frame portion in a seating zone of the wheelchair frame, and a spacing bar having an elongated structural body and a pair of opposite ends, each of the opposite ends having a connector configured for being clamped to a respective one of the lateral frame member of the wheelchair frame, wherein each of the connectors forms a joint with the respective one of the elongated frame portions constraining the spacing bar to movement of the spacing bar axially along the pair of the elongated frame portion, a tightening assembly for each of the connectors, the tightening assemblies being arranged in the spacing bar to loosen and tighten the connectors to block or allow movement of the spacing bar along the pair of the lateral frame members
SURGICAL TOOL SYSTEM AND METHOD
Devices, Systems, and Methods for controlled movement of the robot system. The surgical robot system may include a robot having a robot base, a robot arm coupled to the robot base, and an end-effector coupled to the robot arm. The robot may include a plurality of omni-directional wheels affixed to the robot base allowing multiple-axis movement of the robot. The robot may further include sensors for detecting a desired movement of the robot base and a control system responsive to the plurality of sensors for controlling the multiple-axis movement of the robot by actuating two or more of the plurality of omni-directional wheels.
