Approaches for improving skin hydration and moisturization
The present disclosure generally relates to approaches for improving water absorption and retention by the skin's surface. In particular, the disclosure provides compositions and methods for preparing mixtures comprised of ethoxylated oils and water or mixtures comprised of micro or nano emulsions and water, which provide enhanced skin hydration or moisturization to a subject.
WATER-IN-OIL-IN-WATER TYPE EMULSION COSMETIC COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THEREOF
Provided is a water-in-oil-in-water (W/O/W) emulsion cosmetic composition prepared by mixing an oil-in-water emulsion and a water-in-oil emulsion, wherein the W/O/W emulsion cosmetic composition has excellent feel of use and moisturizing feel while having excellent emulsion stability even under various temperature conditions, and has an excellent absorption rate of an active ingredient on the skin.
Cosmetic complex for bioactive hydration, cosmetic composition, use and method
A novel cosmetic complex for bioactive hydration of the skin, particularly from the body and face, is provided. The cosmetic complex comprises vegetable oil, trehalose, and hydroxyethyl urea.
Cochelates using phosphatidylserine/anionic surfactant/calcium chloride
The present invention relates to cochleates using phosphatidylserine/anionic surfactant/calcium chloride and, more specifically, to cochleates comprising phosphatidylserine, an anionic surfactant, calcium chloride, an active ingredient, and water.
Cosmetic composition comprising particles containing high content of ceramide and method for preparing same
In a cosmetic composition according to the present invention, a coating membrane with a multilayer lamella structure is formed on the outside of ceramide particles by using phytosphingosine, and therefore, the cosmetic composition is stably present without ceramide precipitation even in formulations with low viscosity as well as high viscosity although the particles contain a high content of ceramide, and a cosmetic composition showing an excellent skin barrier recovery effect can be provided.
TOPICAL SKIN CARE FORMULATIONS COMPRISING PLANT EXTRACTS
A method for topically applying a composition to skin is disclosed. The method can include topically applying to skin a composition comprising an aqueous, alcoholic, aqueous-alcoholic, or oil-soluble plant extract.
NOVEL PSEUDOCERAMIDE COMPOUND, AND EXTERNAL USE SKIN PREPARATION COMPOSITION CONTAINING SAME
The present invention relates to a novel pseudoceramide compound, and more particularly, to a novel pseudoceramide compound represented by formula 1 and having skin moisturizing and barrier function characteristics, and a skin topical composition comprising the pseudoceramide compound:
##STR00001##
wherein R.sub.1 represents a linear C12-C18 alkyl group and has at least one double bond, and R.sub.2 represents a linear C12-C22 alkyl group and has a double bond.
MODIFIED POLYSACCHARIDES
Cationic and silicon substituents are introduced into polysaccharides thereby producing modified polysaccharides cationically substituted by quaternary ammonium groups and having a charge density of about 0.1 to about 2.5 meq/g, and further substituted by siliconate groups such that the modified polysaccharide has a silicon content of about 300 to about 5000 ppm. The modified polysaccharides have application in industrial, home care and personal care surface modifying formulations.
Redispersible Three-Layer Cosmetic
A redispersible three-layer cosmetic comprising an aqueous phase, an oil phase a polysaccharide gel particles having a mean particle size of 0.1 to 1000 μm.
Viscous composition
A viscous composition of the present invention comprises specific cellulose fibers (A), (A′) and (A″) and the specific cellulose fibers (A), (A′) and (A″) are used with appropriate selection according to uses of a cosmetic composition, a gel-like composition and a spray composition. Therefore, in case where the composition is used as the cosmetic composition, a cosmetic composition which is excellent in shape retention ability and dispersion stability and excellent in water tolerance to satisfy the properties and the performance which is necessary for cosmetics is obtained. Additionally, in case where the composition is used as a gel-like composition, gel-state can be kept without separation or water release. Furthermore, in case where the composition is used as a spray composition, since it is possible to time-dependently keep stable gel state even if functional additives such as electrolytes, ionic substances, etc. are contained, it is possible to mix various functional additives which is necessary for the use without any problem.
