Moisturizing composition
The present invention relates to a composition, in particular a cosmetic composition, comprising, in a physiologically acceptable medium, at least glyceryl caprylate, 1,3-propanediol and phytic acid or any of the salts thereof, said composition being free from perlite. The present invention further relates to a composition, in particular a cosmetic composition, comprising, in a physiologically acceptable medium, at least glyceryl caprylate, 1,3-propanediol and phytic acid or any of the salts thereof.
Environmentally biodegradable microcapsules
Disclosed is a composition including controlled release particles, wherein each of the controlled release particles includes: (a) a core including at least one hydrophobic active ingredient; and (b) a wall at least partially surrounding the core and including the reaction products of: (i) an organofunctional silane; (ii) an epoxy; (iii) an amine; (iv) an isocyanate; (v) an epoxide curing agent; wherein the controlled release particles are effective to retain the at least one hydrophobic active ingredient upon exposure to water and effective to release the at least one hydrophobic active ingredient in response to friction. A method for preparing the composition is also disclosed.
Fibers and Yarns with Blocking Function
A polymer composition comprising a polymer and at least one active substance selected from the group consisting of a substance generating an occlusion, in particular a substance generating an internal occlusion or a substance generating an external occlusion; a moisturizing substance; a substance reducing pain or itching; and mixtures of these.
METHOD FOR PREPARING MICROBIAL PREPARATION AND MICROBIAL PREPARATION PRODUCED BY THE SAME
The present disclosure relates to a method for preparing an aglycone or hydrolyzed glycoside converted from a glycoside and, specifically, to a method for preparing an aglycone or hydrolyzed glycoside from a glycoside by converting a glycoside into an aglycone form or hydrolyzed glycoside by using a microorganism producing β-glycosidase, and then recovering the aglycone or hydrolyzed glycoside accumulated in the cells of the microorganism.
GENTLE CLEANSING COMPOSITIONS WITH MAKEUP REMOVAL PROPERTIES
The present disclosure relates to gentle cleansing compositions, which generally include: (a) a taurate surfactant; (b) an isethionate surfactant; (c) a betaine (and/or another amphoteric surfactant); and (d) a nonionic emulsifier. The cleansing compositions exhibit very good cleansing properties, are particularly effective for removing makeup, and are mild and moisturizing to the skin.
Cosmetic composition comprising silica aerogel particles, a gemini surfactant and a solid fatty substance
The subject of the present invention is a cosmetic composition of oil-in-water type comprising: (1) hydrophobic silica aerogel particles having a specific surface area per unit of mass (S.sub.M) ranging from 500 to 1500 m.sup.2/g and a size, expressed as volume-average diameter (D[0.5]), ranging from 1 to 1500 μm ; (2) at least one gemini surfactant of formula (I): ##STR00001##
in which R.sub.1 and R.sub.3 denote, independently of one another, an alkyl radical containing from 1 to 25 carbon atoms; R.sub.2 denotes a spacer consisting of a linear or branched alkylene chain containing from 1 to 12 carbon atoms; X and Y denote, independently of one another, a —(C.sub.2H.sub.4O).sub.a—(C.sub.3H.sub.6O).sub.bZ group; n ranges from 1 to 10 ; and (3) at least one fatty phase comprising at least one fatty substance chosen from solid fatty substances and pasty fatty substances. The composition in accordance with the invention makes it possible to make good the lack of cutaneous lipids in dehydrated skin, and to provide comfort and persistent nutrition, while at the same time having sensory properties, for example a non-greasy and non-tacky effect and a matt skin appearance, and also good skin penetration properties, even with a high level of solid fatty substance.
Expression promoting agent for clock gene and hyaluronic acid synthase gene
A method for promoting expression of a clock gene and/or a hyaluronic acid synthase gene in skin, comprising applying onto skin a composition comprising one kind or two kinds selected from lavender oil and eucalyptus oil, and an alkylene oxide derivative.
1,2-alkane polyol-containing composition
Provided is a composition containing, as an alkane polyol, a C.sub.4-18 1,2-alkane polyol in which the degradation over time of the C.sub.4-18 1,2-alkane polyol, which has inferior chemical stability and degrades easily, is suppressed, the composition being suitable for use in a cosmetic, an inkjet ink, a fiber or a coating material such as a paint. A composition containing 1,2-alkane polyol that can be used in a cosmetic, an inkjet ink, a raw material for fibers or a coating material, the alkane polyol being a C.sub.4-18 1,2-alkane polyol, and the composition containing a radical scavenger.
METHOD FOR PREVENTING AGING WITH BIOACTIVE COMPOUND
A method for preventing aging of a subject in need thereof includes administering to the subject a composition including a bioactive compound. The bioactive compound is a peptide, and includes at least one amino acid sequence as set forth in SEQ ID NO: 1 to SEQ ID NO: 6. Each of the amino acid sequence is a peptide of fish skin. The composition has anti-aging and cellular health maintaining capabilities. In addition, the composition can also be used for increasing collagen content, improving skin collagen density, improving skin moisture, minimizing skin pores, reducing wrinkles or achieving a combination of these effects.
