The present invention chiefly aims to provide a novel composition for controlling indigenous bacterial flora in the skin which can enhance or improve the diversity of bacterial species in the indigenous bacterial flora in the skin relative to the condition before treatment. The present invention can include, for example, a composition (e.g., an ointment, a liquid) for controlling the diversity of bacterial species in indigenous bacterial flora in the skin, comprising an effective amount of earthworm lipids extracted from a raw earthworm (Lumbricus rubellus), and a base. The composition of the present invention is useful, for example, as a raw material for skin care products and cosmetics.

The present disclosure relates to a novel pseudoceramide compound. More specifically, the present disclosure provides: a novel pseudoceramide compound represented by Formula 1, having skin moisturizing and barrier function restoring characteristics; and a composition for an externally-applied dermal preparation, the composition containing the novel pseudoceramide compound.

The present disclosure is directed to a composition and method of enhancing skin health and appearance, as well as treating compromised skin, by applying onto the skin a composition containing a moisturizing/hydrating-effective amount of a mixture of at least: (a) an oil infusion of Calendula officinalis extract; (b) an oil infusion of Helichrysum italicum extract; (c) an oil infusion of Symphytum officinale extract; (d) an aqueous infusion of Viola tricolor extract; and (e) an aqueous infusion of at least one Mallow extract chosen from Malva sylvestris extract and Althea officinalis extract; and an emulsifying-effective amount of a dermatologically-acceptable emulsifier, wherein the composition is natural and free of a skin sensitizing-effective amount of an essential oil.

The present invention provides a water-in-oil cosmetic preparation which contains: (a) from 0.1% by mass to 3% by mass of a substance that is selected from among alkyl-modified/partially crosslinked polyether-modified silicones and alkyl-modified/partially crosslinked polyglycerol-modified silicones; (b) from 0.05% by mass to 0.8% by mass of an uncrosslinked alkyl branched polyether-modified silicone; (c) from 30% by mass to 90% by mass of an aqueous component; and (d) from 5% by mass to 30% by mass of an oil component.

This water-in-oil cosmetic preparation has excellent emulsion stability even in cases where an oil component such as a hydrocarbon oil or an ester oil is contained therein in a large amount, while exhibiting good spreadability since the emulsified state thereof is smoothly broken upon application, and enabling the achievement of water breaking sensation and excellent feeling of use.

The invention relates to a composition of oil-in-water emulsion type comprising: —at least one polyol in a content ranging from 7% to 25% by weight relative to the total weight of the composition; —water in a content ranging from 60% to 90% by weight relative to the total weight of the composition; —at least two nonionic surfactants that are different from each other, chosen from a nonionic surfactant of ester type comprising a mixture of at least one unsaturated ester and of at least one diester of polyglycerol and a nonionic surfactant which is a fatty alcohol with a saturated, linear carbon-based chain containing from 14 to 26 carbon atoms; —at least one wax; —and the mass ratio [total amount of said nonionic surfactant(s) of ester type]/[total amount of said wax] ranges from 0.8 to 2, preferably from 1 to 1.5.

The present invention relates to a composition including a Tremella fuciformis culture medium extract. The present invention relates to cosmetic formulations with a high moisturizing power comprising, as active principle, ucuuba (Virola surinamensis) butter comprising myristic acid in high concentration, more particularly in a concentration equal to or greater than 70% of the constitution of said butter. Additionally, the invention relates to products comprising such cosmetic formulations, as well as to the use of ucuuba butter for the preparation of a differentiated cosmetic product with high skin moisturizing power, as will be demonstrated in the present patent application. The invention further discloses a cosmetic kit comprising the formulation disclosed with a suitable applicator and instructions for use.
