When a swing center distance is taken to be L, a swing angle that is the inclination angle of the center axis of a roll 30 with respect to a main hub body 8 is taken to be , the pitch diameter of the hub-side face splines 21 is taken to be D.sub.h, the number of teeth of the hub-side face splines 21 is taken to be N.sub.h, and the number of teeth of a processing surface 31 of the roll 30 is taken to be N.sub.r, the position relationship of the main hub body 8 and the roll 30, or in other words, at least one of the swing center distance L, the swing angle , and the pitch circle diameter D.sub.h is regulated so that the relationship Nh/Nr=cos +(2L/D.sub.h).Math.sin is satisfied.
Axle Assembly
An axle assembly having an axle, a brake spider and a bearing collar. The axle may have first and second transition regions. The first transition region may extend between first and second cylindrical portions of the axle. The second transition region may extend between second and third cylindrical portions of the axle. The brake spider may be disposed on the second cylindrical portion. The bearing collar may be disposed on the second transition region.
WHEEL ASSEMBLY SEAL
A wheel assembly includes a spindle; a wheel hub rotatable relative to the spindle; and a seal mounted between the spindle and the wheel hub, the seal comprising a first portion and a second portion, the first portion coupled to the spindle, the second portion coupled to the wheel hub, the seal configured to prevent fluid flow through a cavity defined between the spindle and the wheel hub.
Axle means, method for producing the same and motor vehicle
An axle device for a motor vehicle includes an axle shaft, a wheel receiving unit fixed on an end of the axle shaft, and a support body on which the wheel receiving unit is supported from rotation fixed about an axis of rotation. A bearing unit is arranged between the support body and the wheel receiving unit. The bearing unit includes an inner bearing shell at least partially formed by a surface portion of the wheel receiving unit, an outer bearing shell at least partially formed by a sleeve body abutting the support body, and a bearing assembly arranged between the inner bearing shell and the outer bearing shell.
HUB, IN PARTICULAR FOR BICYCLES
A hub for bicycles includes a hub shell which is rotatably supported relative to a hub axle by two roller bearings disposed on opposite ends of the hub shell, a rotor rotatably supported relative to the hub axle by two rotor bearings, and a freewheel device having an interacting hub-side freewheel component and a rotor-side freewheel component. The two freewheel components each have axial engagement elements and are axially movable relative to one another between a freewheel position and an intermeshing engaging position. The rotor is disposed in the same axial position both in the freewheel position and in the engaging position. A driving torque is transmitted in the engaging position. The hub-side freewheel component has an inner central receiving space with a bearing seat and a roller bearing received to rotatably support the hub shell. The hub-side freewheel component includes an appendix protruding outwardly from the axial body section.
Bearing assembly with preload
A wheel bearing assembly for a vehicle includes at least one rolling-element bearing having a first bearing ring and a second bearing ring defining therebetween a bearing interior, rolling elements disposed in the interior, and a seal assembly for sealing the bearing assembly. The seal assembly includes a sleeve-shaped element connected to the second bearing ring such that the sleeve-shaped element rotates with the second bearing, and the sleeve-shaped element includes a flange that forms an axial stop for the rolling elements. A carrier element is connected to the first bearing ring such the carrier element rotates with the first bearing ring, and the carrier element includes a radially extending annular flange. The radially extending annular flange supports a radially encircling seal having at least one seal lip, and the seal lip extends toward the second bearing ring and sealingly abuts on the sleeve shaped element.
AXLE WHEEL END AXIAL THRUST ASSEMBLY
An axle assembly of a vehicle including a differential assembly, a first axle tube including a proximal end adjacent the differential assembly, an opposite distal end, and an axle bore extending therebetween, a first axle shaft rotatably received in the first axle tube, the first axle shaft including a proximal end disposed in the differential assembly, and an opposite distal end extending outwardly from the distal end of the first axle shaft, and a radial bearing assembly including an inner cup, an outer cup and a plurality of roller elements rotatably received therebetween, the outer cup being axially fixed within the axle bore of the first axle tube and the inner cup being axially fixed to the first axle shaft.
