Method of Assembling a Bicycle Rim, Bicycle Rim
The present invention relates to a method of assembling a rim, in particular a bicycle rim of composite material. The invention further relates to a rim obtainable by such a method.
Wheel assembly including controllable operating response gas spring and related methods
A wheel assembly to be coupled to a hub of a vehicle may include an inner rim to be coupled to the hub of the vehicle and an outer rim surrounding the hub. The wheel assembly may also include gas springs operatively coupled between the inner rim and the outer rim. At least one gas spring may have a controllable operating response.
Composite wheel and assembling device thereof
A composite wheel includes a rim, a connecting ring, a plurality of spokes and a flange all connected in sequence from the outside to the inside. One end of each spoke is provided with a thread, and the other end of each spoke is provided with a first mounting hole.
Axle assembly with sealed wheel end bearings and sealed pinion input bearings
A vehicle axle assembly including an axle housing, carrier assembly, and first and second axle shafts. The axle housing is formed from an upper beam and a lower beam that are positioned in a clam-shell arrangement. The carrier assembly includes a carrier housing and a differential that includes a ring gear arranged in meshing engagement with a pinion. The first and second axle shafts extend outwardly from the differential in opposite directions. The pinion is rotatably supported by a self-lubricating cartridge pinion input bearing and the outboard ends of the first and second axle shafts are rotatably supported by self-lubricating and unitized grease wheel end bearings. These bearings do not require lubrication from oil contained inside the axle housing allowing for a reduced oil fill level in the axle housing, creating less viscous losses and better efficiency.
Method for producing a cast vehicle wheel
A method for producing a one-piece cast vehicle wheel, the wheel having at least one hub portion connected to a wheel rim via at least one spoke oriented in the radial direction of the wheel, in which at least one lost core is inserted in a molding of the casting machine, the one-piece vehicle wheel is cast, and the lost core is removed from the cast vehicle wheel and thereby forms at least one opening in the spoke. A one-piece cast vehicle wheel formed by the method is also provided.
COMPOSITE RIM OF VEHICLE WHEEL AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
Disclosed are a composite rim of a vehicle wheel and a method of manufacturing the same, which is reduced in weight through the use of a continuous fiber composite. The rim of a vehicle wheel may be formed by stacking composite sheets, each prepared by impregnating fibers with a resin to form a sheet. The composite sheets may be stacked in multiple layers such that end portions of the respective composite sheets may contact each other in a circumferential direction of the wheel, and discontinuous interfaces, formed at the contacting end portions of the respective composite sheets along an axial direction of the wheel, may not be aligned with each other.
Wheel bearing unit
A hybrid connection element, in particular a bearing outer element of a wheel bearing, includes a core part made of steel and a reinforcement part made of plastic. The reinforcement part at least partially encases the core part. The core part includes a hollow cylindrical bearing unit extending in an axial direction and a flange extending in a radial direction. The reinforcement part includes at least one reinforcement rib which transmits force between the bearing unit and the flange of the core part.
Disk Wheel for a Motor Vehicle and Method for Producing a Disk Wheel of This Type
A disk wheel for a motor vehicle, in particular a single-track motor vehicle, includes: a wheel hub for mounting the disk wheel on the motor vehicle, which wheel hub is concentric to an axis of rotation of the disk wheel; a wheel rim, which is likewise concentric thereto; and a first and a second wheel disk. The first wheel disk and the second wheel disk each extend from the wheel rim toward the wheel hub, are mutually spaced on the wheel hub in a transverse direction which is parallel to the axis of rotation of the disk wheel, and run toward each other as they approach the wheel hub. The disk wheel also has at least two reinforcement ribs, which extend from the first wheel disk to the second wheel disk and interconnect the first wheel disk and the second wheel disk. The reinforcement ribs are distributed evenly around the axis of rotation of the disk wheel.
Wheel assembly including tread assemblies and related methods
A wheel assembly to be coupled to a hub of a vehicle may include an inner rim to be coupled to the hub of the vehicle and an outer rim surrounding the inner rim. The wheel assembly may include gas springs operatively coupled between the inner rim and the outer rim and tread assemblies carried by the outer rim.
Wheel assembly including relative movement sensor and related methods
A wheel assembly may include an inner rim to be coupled to the hub of the vehicle, and an outer rim surrounding the inner rim. Gas springs may be operatively coupled between the inner rim and the outer rim and permitting relative movement therebetween. The wheel assembly may also include a sensor configured to sense the relative movement between the inner and outer rims.
