INTEGRALLY INJECTION MOLDED WHEEL WITH HIGH STABILITY

A stable, low-weight wheel which is particularly suitable for high system-weight bicycles, such as electrically powered bicycles and cargo bikes, includes a hub, at least three solid-body spokes disposed rotationally symmetrical to the wheel axis, and a rim. The body of the hub, spokes and rim is made in one piece by injection molding of a glass-fiber reinforced thermoplastic. The spokes have an S-shaped cross-section with an opening angle which increases in the direction of the rim, taper from the rim towards the hub in a central cross-section of the wheel, and taper from the hub towards the rim in a wheel cross-section running through the center of least one spoke. A method for producing the wheel is also provided.

REINFORCED COMPOSITE HYBRID WHEEL CONSTRUCTION

A method and system for improving the strength, functionality and wear-resistance of a composite hybrid wheel is disclosed. Each spoke may define an airfoil shape and have a secondary wing-like extension attached thereto to generate airflow past the vehicle brakes during vehicle operation. Alternatively, the spokes may be shaped in cross-section as either an I-beam or an H-beam configuration. Customer-interchangeable wheel inserts formed from a reinforced polymerized material, such as a long carbon fiber reinforced composite, are strategically attached to one or more of the spokes. The inserts are used to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the wheel, increase its structural integrity and provide easy interchangeability in the event of damage. A faux bead composite lock ring also formed of a reinforced polymerized material such as a long carbon fiber reinforced composite can be attached to the wheel spokes to cover the composite rim flange.

Vehicle wheel including antirotation plate

A vehicle wheel includes a first annular component, a second annular component configured to be separable from the first annular component and mechanically connected to and aligned with the first annular component about an axis of rotation of the wheel, and a plate. In some examples, when the first and second annular components are mechanically connected, the first and second annular components are configured to receive a tire and define a recess along an annular surface of the first and second annular components, the recess being configured to receive the plate. In addition, in some examples, when the plate is received in the recess, the plate inhibits relative rotation between the first annular component and the second annular component about the axis of rotation of the wheel.

A non-pneumatic wheel possessing spokes having a compliant shear block providing spoke tension.

Wheel bearing unit

Wheel bearing units are disclosed. In one example, a wheel bearing unit includes an outer ring element and an inner ring element, between which there are arranged at least two rolling body rows. The inner ring element may have a radial flange which is fastenable to an axle body or to a wheel. A face surface, which faces toward the radial flange, of the outer ring element may have at least one projection.

AXLE BEAM FOR A COMMERCIAL VEHICLE, AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREFOR

The present disclosure relates to an axle beam, in particular an axle bridge, for a motor vehicle, preferably a commercial vehicle. The axle beam has a first axle beam shell and a second axle beam shell which is connected, in particular welded, to the first axle beam shell in order to configure a tubular body. The tubular body has an inner circumferential face with a plurality of flat sections which form a non-round cross section of the tubular body. The axle beam has a reinforcing component which has a non-round cross section, is arranged within the tubular body, and bears at least partially against the flat sections of the inner circumferential face of the tubular body.

A wheel and tire assembly in accordance with the present invention for a mobile vehicle includes an inner central hub, an outer shear band and tread structure mounted on the central hub, and a spoke structure extending between the central hub and the shear band and tread structure. The spoke structure defines a plurality of cavities disposed concentrically about the central hub whereby the cavities allow the spoke structure to deflect under load.

Wheel pad

A wheel pad for moving an object across a surface having non-planar obstructions to allow movement of the object across the surface. The wheel pad has a contact pad and a load bearing assembly. The contact pad has an outer skin enclosing a fluid and a torus bearing. The torus bearing has a plurality of bearings, with each adjacent bearing rotatably joined by a connector that allows the bearings to independently rotate. The load bearing assembly has a load transfer mechanism and a load transfer device. The load transfer mechanism has a plurality of recirculating bearings moveably positioned inside a ball chamber. The load transfer device interacts with, but moves independently of, the load transfer mechanism to transfer the weight of the object to the contact pad, which weight is transferred to a lower surface thereof by the fluid and torus bearing to provide omnidirectional movement for the wheel pad.

Power Transmission Device

A power transmission device includes: an axle housing having a central hole where a drive shaft is penetrated; a wheel hub disposed in an outer portion of the axle housing via wheel bearings; a speed-reducer housing chamber provided in the wheel hub to cover an opening end portion of the axle housing; a gear speed reducer, formed inside the speed-reducer housing chamber, to decelerate a rotation of the drive shaft and transmit the rotation to the wheel hub; and a wet-type brake mechanism housed in a brake chamber formed between the axle housing and the wheel hub, and actuated such that braking is applied to a rotation of the wheel hub relative to the axle housing. Further, floating seals are disposed between a lubrication space and the speed-reducer housing chamber, and a circulation passage for oil that includes an oil filter is connected to the lubrication space.

Wheel securing structure of trucks
10065453 · 2018-09-04 · ·

A wheel securing structure for trucks is provided. The securing structure generally includes iron screwshaft liners installed in keyholes of mounting parts of aluminum wheels. The bolts of an assembling part correspondingly penetrate the holes of respective screwshaft liners. A first folded edge and a second folded edge are formed on two terminals of each screwshaft liner to respectively insert into conical pits formed on the mounting part of a wheel. The nuts screw onto the bolts of the assembling part to secure the wheel onto the assembling part. When the trucks pass bumpy roads, relative motion caused by vibrations occurs between the wheels and the assembling part, and friction is generated between various parts. The screwshaft liner protects the soft aluminum wheel from being directly rubbed by the bolts, nuts, and the assembling part. Accordingly, the aluminum wheel is made suitable for trucks and other heavy vehicles.
