Method and apparatus for molding non-pneumatic wheels
A method and apparatus for molding non-pneumatic wheels is provided. The exemplary method and apparatus allow for the use of the same molding system to manufacture wheels with different hub constructions. Different configurations of removable mold elements are utilized within the same molding system to provide wheels with different hub constructions.
TUBELESS TIRE INSERT
A system and method for a tubeless tire insert. The present invention includes an annular body having shock absorbing characteristics. A positioning system configured to vary a mean inner diameter of the insert is also included. The insert has a mean inner diameter X when the tire is being installed on the rim, and the insert has a mean inner diameter Y when the tire is installed on the rim, where X is greater than Y.
Composite layer tire
A green tire includes a plurality of sheets of green rubber having a substantially circular shape, wherein each sheet of green rubber includes an upper ring and a lower ring, and each sheet of green rubber further includes a plurality of spoke portions extending from the upper ring to the lower ring. The green tire further includes a plurality of reinforcements. Each reinforcement is disposed between adjacent sheets of green rubber. At least one reinforcement is sandwiched between the upper rings of adjacent sheets of green rubber, and at least one reinforcement is sandwiched between the spoke portions of adjacent sheets of green rubber.
Non-pneumatic tire comprising polyurethane matrix and expanded thermoplastic elastomer particles
A non-pneumatic tire may include a polyurethane matrix and expanded thermoplastic elastomer particles. The non-pneumatic tire has 60 to 90 wt. % of the polyurethane matrix and 10 to 40 wt. % of the expanded thermoplastic elastomer particles. The non-pneumatic tire may be produced in a production method. The non-pneumatic tire may be used in a low-speed vehicle.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MOLDING NON-PNEUMATIC WHEELS

CONSTRUCTION OF A MOLDED BODY FOR NON-PNEUMATIC TIRES
A molded body is useful in non-pneumatic tires. The non-pneumatic tires containing the molded body are useful for vehicle wheels such as wheels for cars, bikes, motorcycles, trucks, e-scooters, toys, sports equipment, golf caddy, strollers, or wheelchairs. A process for manufacturing the molded body for non-pneumatic tires is also provided.
Expanded rubber articles
Expanded rubber articles and processes for making such, comprising: partially curing an expandable rubber formulation by heating it in a first mould cavity to form a moulded blank; releasing the moulded blank from the first mould cavity and allowing the moulded blank to expand to form an expanded moulded blank; and further curing and expanding the expanded moulded blank by heating it to form the expanded rubber article comprising an expanded rubber part, wherein the expanded moulded blank is heated in a second mould cavity. Optionally, the expanded moulded blank is contacted with a further rubber formulation and a substrate comprising a base material and an elastomer bonding layer in the second mould cavity to form an expanded rubber article additionally comprising a solid rubber part and a substrate.
Composite layer tire
A method of making a tire includes forming a first sheet of material having a circular shape. The first sheet of material includes an upper ring and a lower ring. The first sheet of material further includes a plurality of spoke portions extending from the upper ring to the lower ring. A reinforcement is placed on the first of polymeric material, which includes placing the reinforcement on at least a portion of the upper ring. A second sheet of material having a circular shape is formed. The second sheet of material is placed on the first sheet of material such that the reinforcement is sandwiched between the first and second sheets of material. The method further includes placing additional sheets of material and additional reinforcements on the second sheet of material until a tire is built.
