In a process for building tires, a carcass structure which includes at least one carcass ply and a belt structure, is formed. Manufacture of the belt structure includes: forming a first portion of at least one cushion insert through spiralling of a continuous elongated element; forming at least one first belt layer in a radially external position to the first portion in such a manner that the first portion axially projects from one of the axially opposite side edges of the first belt layer, forming a second portion of the cushion insert through spiralling of a continuous elongated element in a radially external position to the side edge of the first belt layer and to a stretch of the first portion projecting from the side edge itself, so as to enclose the side edge between the first and second portions of the cushion insert.

Pneumatic tire

The pneumatic tire according to the disclosure includes a resin-coated belt comprising a wire coated with a coating resin. A base ring is formed at a tire radial inside of the resin-coated belt, while being in contact with a tire widthwise outer end of the resin-coated belt. A concavo-convex portion is formed on at least one of surfaces of the base ring.

The environmental footprint of a tire for a construction plant vehicle is improved. To do so, the elastomer compounds derived from non-fossil resources represent a mass content greater than or equal to 65% of the total mass of the compounds of the tire, at least 75% of the total mass of the compounds of the tire is made up of elastomer compounds each of which has a viscoelastic loss, measured in terms of tan(δ), less than or equal to 0.065, and an electrical resistivity greater than or equal to 1E+10 ‘Ω.Math.cm.

Tire

A tire comprises a tread reinforcing layer comprising a cord-reinforced part formed by winding a rubberized cord strip with at least one reinforcing cord covered with a topping rubber. The cord-reinforced part includes a mesh part in which first inclined segments and second inclined segments of the rubberized cord strip are inclined to opposite directions with respect to the tire circumferential direction. The first inclined segments intersect the second inclined segments, leaving space parts each having a quadrilateral shape. The mesh part has a tire-equator-side first region, a tread-edge-side second region and a third region therebetween, wherein the space parts within the tire-equator-side first region each have an area A1, the space parts within the tread-edge-side second region each have an area A2, and the space parts within the third region each have an area A3 which is smaller than the area A1 and larger than the area A2.
