Reinforced bias- or radial-carcass tire
The invention relates to a tire having at least one carcass reinforcement comprising reinforcers, surmounted radially on the outside by a crown reinforcement, itself radially on the inside of a tread, said crown reinforcement being made up of at least one layer of reinforcement elements, said tread being connected to two beads by way of two sidewalls, said beads being intended to come into contact with a rim flange having a rim flange top C, each bead having at least one circumferential reinforcement element, said carcass reinforcement comprising an end at each bead, the end of the carcass reinforcement being turned up once in an outward radial direction of the tire and about said bead wire, so as to form a turnup, then being folded in said radially inward direction so as to form a fold forming a radially external end and three adjacent parts along an axial axis made up of a central part, of an axially internal lateral part, and of an axially external lateral part. The tire is characterized in that the radially external end of the turnup is disposed between the rim flange top C and a point D, said points C and D being situated at the surface of the sidewall and disposed on either side of a point E situated on the sidewall corresponding to the nominal section width, said point D being disposed at a maximum radial length equal to 85% of the length present between the axial end S of the crown reinforcement and the rim flange top C.
Tire
A tire includes: a ring shaped tire frame member that is made of a resin with plural tire pieces joined along a tire circumferential direction; a joint portion reinforcing belt that is adhered to the tire frame member, that extends around the tire circumferential direction, and that covers a joint portion of the plural tire pieces; and a tread layer that is provided further to the tire radial direction outside than the tire frame member and the joint portion reinforcing belt.
PNEUMATIC TIRE
A pneumatic tire 1 comprises an annular bead core 5 embedded in each bead portion 4 of the tire. The bead core 5 is composed of a plurality of wire rings 10 each of which is made of a spirally overlap-wound bead wire 11 and which are arranged in the tire axial direction. The wire rings 11 include a first ring 13 whose bead wire 11 is a twisted cord 13a made of a plurality of filaments 15 twisted together, and a second ring 14 whose bead wire 11 is a monofilament cord 14a made of a single filament.
PNEUMATIC TIRE
In a tire 2, chafers 8 each extend from a position axially outward of a corresponding one of beads 10 to a position radially inward of the corresponding one of the beads 10. Sidewalls 6 extend to positions between the beads 10 and the chafers 8, respectively. The chafers 8 extend to positions outward of ends 38 of turned-up portions 44 of a carcass ply 40 in the radial direction. When a side surface 50 represents a portion, of an outer surface of each chafer 8, which contacts with a flange of a rim, an outline of the side surface 50 has an arc C that extends from a heel of the bead 10 portion and projects inward.
PNEUMATIC TIRE
Each side piece 40 of a tire 2 includes a rim protector 42. A bob profile representing a contour of the rim protector 42 includes a first circular arc extending outward from a top PT of the rim protector 42, and a second circular arc extending inward from the top PT. A center of the first circular arc is located inward of the bob profile, and a center of the second circular arc is located outward of the bob profile. The side piece 40 includes a side apex 22, and the side apex 22 intersects a normal line LT that is normal to a carcass 12 and passes through the top PT.
TIRE MANUFACTURING METHOD
A tire manufacturing method includes making a master batch, using the master batch to make a rubber composition, and making a green tire. The master batch is made wherein a carbon-black-containing pre-coagulation rubber latex is coagulated to obtain a coagulum; a compound according to Formula (I) is added to the water-containing coagulum;

wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 each indicates a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having 1 to 20 carbons, an alkenyl group having 1 to 20 carbons, or an alkynyl group having 1 to 20 carbons, R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 may be the same or different, and M.sup.+ indicates sodium ion, potassium ion, or lithium ion; and the compound according to Formula (I) is dispersed within the coagulum. The green tire is provided with unvulcanized rubber sheeting made up of the rubber composition, chafer(s), carcass ply or plies, and bead filler(s).
