Tire with filler strips enclosing bead cores and ply ends
A tire (1) has two annular beads, a toroidal body ply (2) which is wound about the two beads (3) to form two turn-ups, and two bead fillers (8). Each bead filler (8) contacts a bead (3) and is at least partly enclosed in a turn-up (4) of the body ply (2), and comprises an elastomer filler strip (9) which is wound about the bead (3) and is interposed between the bead (3) and the body ply (2) and has two opposite ends (10, 11) located on opposite sides of the bead (3) and contacting each other. An outer end (11) of the filler strip (9) of each bead filler (8) is folded into a U about the corresponding end of the body ply (2) so as to enclose the end of the body ply (2).
PNEUMATIC TIRE WITH IMPROVED VIBRATION CHARACTERISTICS
A pneumatic tire has modified dimensions and/or materials characteristics and is designed and constructed for use in place of a conventional, standards-meeting tire of a standards-meeting tire/rim combination. The rim has a bead seat with an outer diameter established by a standards-setting organization to mate with a conventional tire. The modified pneumatic tire has a bead of an inner diameter established by: a) determining a conventional radial force exerted by the bead of the conventional tire on the rim, and b) setting the inner diameter such that, when mounted on the rim the bead exerts on the bead seat a modified radial force between 5% and 25% lower than the conventional radial force.
TIRE
A tire 1 wherein a height in the tire radial direction of the first rubber member 10 is 15% or less of a tire cross-sectional height; and a high-hardness rubber member (11A, 11B) that has a higher hardness than side rubber 9 and that is arranged on an outer side in a tire width direction of the first rubber member 10, wherein a communication device 12 is embedded in a position in the tire radial direction that is located on an inner side in the tire radial direction of a tire maximum width position SWH and on the outer side in the tire radial direction of the high-hardness rubber member.
Pneumatic tire
A tire includes a pair of beads, a carcass, chafers, an insulation, and cushion layers. Each bead includes a core positioned inward of the bead in a radial direction. At an inside of the core in the radial direction, the insulation is laminated on the chafers so as to be located outward of the chafers in the radial direction. Each cushion layer is laminated on the insulation so as to be located outward of the insulation in the radial direction. The insulation and the cushion layer are formed from respective crosslinked rubbers different from each other. A compressive elastic modulus E* of the crosslinked rubber of the cushion layer is smaller than a compressive elastic modulus E* of the crosslinked rubber of the insulation.
Pneumatic radial tire with specified bead portions
A pneumatic radial tire includes a bead filler, a carcass ply, a steel protection layer, and an organic fiber protection layer. A reinforcing rubber sandwiches a wind-up end of the steel protection layer. A relationship of 1A/B2 is satisfied between a width A from the wind-up end of the steel protection layer to a tire inner surface, and a width B from the wind-up end of the steel protection layer to a tire outer surface. The wind-up end of the carcass ply is covered with a ply cover member. A relationship of 0.8D/C1.2 is satisfied between a thickness C of a second bead filler positioning between the ply cover member and a first bead filler, and a thickness D of the reinforcing rubber positioning between the ply cover member and the steel protection layer.
Pneumatic tire
A pneumatic tire includes a carcass ply wound up from an inner side to an outer side around bead cores, chafers wound up from an outer side to an inner side around the bead cores, and an inner liner rubber which is arranged in an inner side of the carcass ply, wherein a squeegee rubber having a higher modulus than the inner liner rubber is provided closer to the inner liner rubber side than the chafers between the carcass ply and the inner liner rubber, and the squeegee rubber is arranged so as to cover inside wound-up ends of the chafers, and is provided with a thick portion which is thicker than the inner liner rubber, and thin portions which are arranged respectively in an inner side and an outer side in the tire diametrical direction of the thick portion and are thinner than the inner liner rubber.
