SELF-CONTAINED BREATHING APPARATUS
A self-contained breathing apparatus for providing breathable air in emergency situations is disclosed. The breathing apparatus comprises a cylinder containing a supply of breathable air therein; a manifold adapted to be removably coupled to the cylinder; a release valve provided internally within the cylinder such that the release valve, when depressed, causes the cylinder to release the breathable air into the manifold; a lever arranged on the manifold and coupled with the release valve such that pressing of the lever causes depression of the release valve; a safety pin arranged with the manifold such that the safety pin, in a preset position, prevents pressing of the lever, wherein the safety pin needs to be moved from the preset position to allow pressing of the lever; and a mouthpiece disposed in fluid communication with the manifold to receive the breathable air therefrom.

Automatically adjustable device for affixing to the nose of animals
The invention relates to an automatically adjustable device for affixing to the nose of animals, which may be used simultaneously for administering medicinal or non-medicinal substances and/or for collecting and transmitting information about the animal by means of onboard sensors, the device being composed of a flexible support body and a pair of adjustable members that are connected by a system of swivel joints, allowing the articulation of the members in all directions. The system of swivel joints enables the adjustable members to automatically adjust to the wall of the nasal septum of each animal, which affords greater comfort and offers a larger area of contact between the face of the adjustable members of the device and the nasal mucous membrane of the animal.
Mask apparatus
A mask apparatus includes a mask body and a mask body cover coupled to the mask body. The mask body includes a front surface, a rear surface, and a pair of air ducts disposed at left and right sides of the front surface. The mask body is configured to mount a pair of fan modules at suction sides of the pair of air ducts. The mask body cover covers the pair of air ducts and the pair of fan modules. The mask body defines a cover coupling groove along an edge of the mask body, and the cover coupling groove is coupled to an edge of the mask body cover.

Snow burial survival mask
A snow burial survival mask has an exhaust tube connected to a headgear. An intake port of the exhaust tube is positioned adjacent to a breathing portion of the headgear in order to intake exhaled carbon dioxide (CO2)-rich air. An air pump connected to the exhaust tube pump the exhaled air from the intake port to an exhaust port away from the user's face, extending survival time in a snow burial situation. At least one burial detection sensor such as a motion sensor, light sensor and/or CO2 sensor is configured to activate the air pump based on detection of a burial event.

METHODS OF RESPIRATORY ENHANCEMENT USING A DENTAL APPLIANCE
A dental appliance apparatus is disclosed herein. In various aspects, the dental appliance may include a body removably attachable to one or more teeth selected from premolars and molars, and a flange extending forth from lingual portions of the body to contact a tongue at one or more locations proximate the premolars and the molars in order to cause a contraction of the genioglossus that positions the tongue anteriorly and downward toward the mandible by stimulation of the hypoglossal nerve. The dental appliance may include a connector connected to the body, and the connector may pass about buccal-labial sides of the anterior teeth. A bumper may be included on a labial side of the connector, and the bumper may contact the lips to promote pursed lips breathing. An anterior flange may extend lingually from the connector to stimulate the hypoglossal nerve proximate a tip of the tongue in order to cause contraction of the genioglossus to position the tongue anteriorly and downward toward the mandible.
Filter Tube Respirator
A filter tube respirator having a filter tube and at least one breathing orifice interface. The filter tube is made of filtration material so that it is gas permeable, is substantially hollow, and has a pair of ends. The breathing orifice interface may include a nose piece, a mouth piece, and a flap piece. The filter tube has a tube breathing hole located between the ends for accepting the breathing orifice interface and has a tube valve hole opposed to the tube breathing hole for accepting a one-way valve. An attachment device selectively connects the filter tube to an individual during use.
