Survival Helmet Device
A survival helmet device for use in combination with a survival suit includes a helmet, inhale and exhale control valves, and at least one inflatable air cavity packet secured to the survival suit for selectively controlling the air supply and buoyancy of the survival helmet device and the survival suit.
Personal protection suit
A personal protection suit has a selectively sealable hood (1) for protection against CBRN threats. In one series of embodiments, the hood (1) is separable from a jacket body (5) by a releasable attachment means (11), and has a mask hood seal (2) for sealing with a mask. In one series of embodiments the hood (1A) has a deployable face mask (60) stored within the hood (1A). The hood (1) can be removed without breaking the seal between the mask and mask hood seal (2) to minimise contamination during donning and doffing.
PROTECTIVE SUIT
The present invention relates to a protective suit (1) being CE approved according to European Norm Standards EN 469:2005/A1:2006 or according to US National Fire Protection Association Standard NFPA 1971 Edition 2013 to be worn by a wearer during firefighting or similar operations, comprising a first outer fabric layer (3) which is at least made of flame-resistant material, a second basic layer (10) having a moisture barrier, and a third layer being heat-resistant, the second basic layer (10) and the third layer being connected, wherein the protective suit (1) is fulfilling EN 469:2005/A1:2006 or NFPA 1971 Edition 2013 when the first outer fabric layer (3), the second basic layer (10) and the third layer are worn together, and wherein the first outer fabric layer (3) is detachably connected with the second basic layer (10) by means of connection means (11), the connection means being arranged accessible from the outside of the protective suit, so that the wearer can easily separate the first outer fabric layer (3) from the second basic layer (10), when the first outer fabric layer has been contaminated during firefighting, without having to take off the second basic layer so that the wearer is still protected against the weather conditions. The present invention also relates to a protective suit system and a method.
Over-the-head disposable contact isolation gown and method for making the same
A disposable contact isolation gown for protection from hospital-acquired infections is provided. The contact isolation gown includes a front panel including a front collar edge, a pair of front shoulder edges, a pair of front side edges, and a front bottom edge. The gown also includes a back panel coupled to the front panel at a pair of side seams. The back panel includes a back collar edge, a back line of weakness extending from the back collar edge to the back bottom edge, and a pair of back panel portions coupled together at the back line of weakness. The gown also includes a pair of arm panels coupled between the front panel and the back panel. Each arm panel includes an arm panel back edge, an arm panel front edge, and an arm panel collar edge.
Lighted visor and method of retrofitting a protective suit
A lighted visor and method of retrofitting a protective suit with a lighted visor are disclosed. The lighted visor includes a shield and at least one light source that is conformable to the shape of the shield or visor on which is it disposed.
Functional footwear unit
The invention relates to a functional footwear unit, in particular in the form of knit-of-parts, which has preferably a particularly modular protective function against chemical and/or biological toxic and/or harmful substances, especially warfare agents. The invention also relates to the uses thereof.
Positive-Pressure Protective Wear
A positive-pressure protective wear has a protective body and an air supply. The protective body has a clothing and a headgear connected with the clothing. The air supply is connected with the protective body and inputs gas into the protective body to keep the protective body under positive pressure, and this can provide an effect of ventilation.
CHEMICAL AND BIOLOGICAL PROTECTIVE SHIRT AND HOOD
The disclosed subject matter relates to chemical and biological protective hood and garments including the hood. The hood includes a hood body having a face opening in the hood body, at least one section of a non-stretch protective composite fabric, at least one section of a stretch protective composite fabric and a face opening liner including a non-stretch fabric cover layer and an aerosol protective layer and does not include a vapor protective layer, the face opening liner being attached to the hood body and positioned around the perimeter of the face opening.
Protective Garment Having Antiviral Properties in Combination with Water Resistance
Fabric materials are disclosed that have been treated with a water resistant and antimicrobial treatment. The water resistant and antimicrobial treatment includes a combination of a durable water resistant composition and an antiviral composition. Protective garments can be made from the fabric that provide protection against airborne pathogens by preventing penetration through the fabric material and by destroying any pathogens that land upon the fabric.
Hood For Powered Air Purifying Respirator
A respiratory device for covering a head of a wearer can comprise a head engagement element. A hood can define an interior and a rim. The hood can comprise a rim that is configured to bias against the head of the wearer to inhibit air communication therebetween. At least a portion of the hood can be transparent. A hose fitting can be operatively coupled to the hood to provide air therethrough into the interior of the hood. The hood can be configured to be releasably coupled to the head engagement element at a plurality of positions. The plurality of positions can comprise a forward position and a rear position that is spaced from the forward position by at least one inch along an anteroposterior adjustment axis.
