Component attachment with a transverse force-supporting surface
10150342 · 2018-12-11 · ·

A component connection for a wheel suspension of a motor vehicle, with a control arm having a mounting, in particular a rubber mounting, at least at one of its ends. An inner sleeve and a connection component, in particular a wheel carrier, are fixed to one another by a fixing element. The fixing element presses a first contact surface of the inner sleeve, in the axial direction, toward the connection component against an abutment surface of the connection component. The connection component has a supporting surface against which a second contact surface of the inner sleeve rests. Furthermore, the supporting surface is inclined relative to the abutment surface in such a manner that transverse forces occurring, in the radial direction in the area of the mounting, can be supported.

DOUBLE COMPRESSION RATIO TYPE BUSH AND SUSPENSION SYSTEM THEREBY

A bushing may include an elastic compression portion configured to form a primary compression ratio due to a compressive deformation by a primary press-fitting load and be pressed by a secondary compression ratio greater than the primary compression ratio by a secondary press-fitting load greater than the primary press-fitting load, wherein the elastic compression portion is formed in an opened cross section to be a secondary surface contact larger than a primary surface contact without a bulge phenomenon by a volume dispersion in a state in which it is pressed by the primary press-fitting load to be the primary surface contact and then is pressed by the secondary press-fitting load.

Steering and suspension mechanism

A suspension and steering mechanism for a vehicle including at least one suspension arm, a steering arm, and a steering actuator. The suspension arm includes a wheel mounting end and a base end rotatably coupled with a reference frame via a base axis. The steering arm is coupled with the suspension arm at a rotation point of the steering arm. An actuated end of the steering arm extends toward a first direction from the rotation point. The steering actuator includes an actuating end and a fixed end, and is rotatably coupled at the fixed end with the suspension arm and rotatably coupled at the actuating end with the actuated end of the steering arm. A horizontal location of the fixed end is within at least one of a horizontal cross-section of the suspension arm and a triangle defined by the rotation point and the largest width of the base axis.

SWITCHABLE BEARING BUSHING FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE

A bearing bushing for a motor vehicle includes a sleeve, a bolt arranged inside the sleeve, and at least one elastomer element arranged radially between the sleeve and the bolt for supporting the bolt in the sleeve in a damping manner. The bolt has a ball element axially between two distal ends, wherein the ball element interacts with at least two movable ball socket elements in order to change the stiffness of the bearing bushing. This allows the bearing bushing can be switched between at least two stiffness levels.

Fusible linking yoke between the suspension arm and the engine cradle

An arrangement for a motor vehicle includes a suspension arm, an engine cradle, a wheel attached to the suspension arm, at least one intermediate linking fork joint disposed between the suspension arm and the engine cradle to ensure attachment of the suspension arm to the engine cradle, removable elements to attach the linking fork joint to the engine cradle, elements to attach the suspension arm to the linking fork joint, and first fusible elements to allow a first relative displacement of the suspension arm with respect to the engine cradle over a first path only in an event of application, to the wheel or to the suspension arm, of an external force having a lateral component that exceeds a first predetermined threshold for which the first fusible elements are sized. The first fusible elements include at least one portion of the linking fork joint.

MOTOR VEHICLE COMPRISING RUNNING GEAR ATTACHMENT GUIDE MEANS
20180170137 · 2018-06-21 · ·

A motor vehicle includes a bodywork structural element and a running gear, such as a vehicle back end, that includes at least one arm. The at least one arm includes a top attachment end that is received in a sheet metal clevis supported on a bottom surface of a floor of the bodywork structural element. The attachment end includes at least one transverse tubular sleeve that is received with reduced play between two parallel flanks of the clevis, and an attachment screw capable of passing through two coaxial bores of both flanks and the transverse tubular sleeve to enable attachment of the attachment end into the clevis. The clevis guides the attachment end into a position for aligning the bores of the flanks and the sleeve.

Link for a wheel suspension of a motor vehicle and wheel suspension for a wheel of a front axle of a motor vehicle
12151534 · 2024-11-26 · ·

A link for a wheel suspension of a motor vehicle, and a corresponding wheel suspension for a wheel of a front axle of a motor vehicle. The link includes a link base with a bearing point on the vehicle body side. The bearing point on the vehicle body side is designed in the form of a bearing eye. The bearing eye is designed as a frangible member which breaks when a specified misuse load is exceeded.

Rear structure of a motor vehicle

A motor vehicle rear structure includes an underframe component for supporting a motor vehicle floor, an axle component including a central part and two lateral parts that define, with the central part, a space to accommodate a component of the vehicle, and a pivot member including a first pivot element and a second pivot element which are able to pivot relative to one another. The rear structure is arranged such that the first and second pivot elements pivot relative to one another about an axis that is substantially horizontal and substantially perpendicular to a direction of travel of the vehicle in a frame of reference of the motor vehicle, when the first and second pivot elements are thus fixed to the central part of the axle component and to the underframe component of the motor vehicle, respectively.

Upper control arm system

A control arm system is provided. The system includes an upper control arm, a lower control arm longer than the upper control arm, a spindle, and a bracket coupled to a frame. The upper control arm and the lower control arm are coupled between the bracket and the spindle. A pivot point of the upper control arm and the bracket is closer to the spindle than a pivot point of the lower control arm and the bracket. The control arm system is moveable between a compressed position and an extended position with a neutral position between the compressed position and the extended position. A tire coupled to the spindle is rotated into a negative camber orientation when the control arm system is in a compressed position or in an extended position. A track width is maintained in the compressed, neutral, and extended positions.
