CONTINUOUS CABLE INSTALLATION OF FIRE DETECTION LINKS
20230310916 · 2023-10-05 ·

A detection bracket for use in a fire suppression system includes a main body and at least one support plate positioned adjacent to the main body. The at least one support plate has an opening formed therein for receiving an actuation cable wrapped about the main body. The at least one support plate is movable from a first position to a second position relative to the main body in response to a predetermined condition. A tension in the actuation cable receivable within the opening is less when the at least one support plate is in the second position than when the at least one support plate is in the first position.

Stovetop fire suppressor with shuttle actuator and method
11648428 · 2023-05-16 · ·

An automatic stovetop fire suppressor is activated by a shuttle actuator. The self-contained and closed container device provides a gradual release of a fire suppressing agent in a desired distribution pattern. A method of reliable and spatial agent release are provided herein. A plastic cone shaped lid seals on the bottom of a can and forms a closed container. The closed container is filled with a fire suppressing agent. An initiator charge is housed external to the container of fire suppressing agent and is fuse activated. The activated charge displaces the shuttle. As the shuttle displaces, vertical support for the bottom cone lid is removed and a compression spring breaks a circumferential seal between the bottom lid and container cylindrical sidewall and lowers the bottom lid exposing a radial opening. Fire suppressing agent flows out of the radial opening, suppressing a stovetop fire.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR CONTROLLING DELIVERY OF FIRE SUPRESSANT
20230364458 · 2023-11-16 ·

Methods and operations for controlling effective delivery of fire suppressant are disclosed. The fire suppression system comprises a control valve operatively coupled with a cylinder containing a fire suppressant. The system comprises a controller operatively coupled with the control valve. The controller is configured to command the control valve to open, discharging a flow of the fire suppressant at a first flow rate; and adjust the flow of the fire suppressant to a second flow rate during the discharge.

IN-SITU PRESSURIZED RESTAURANT SYSTEM

A fire suppression system is disclosed. The fire suppression system comprises an agent storage cylinder configured for storing a fire suppression agent, the cylinder operatively connected to a charging valve. The system further comprises a cartridge for holding a pressurized gas, wherein the cartridge is configured to operatively connect to the charging valve; release gas into an ullage space of the cylinder to pressurize the cylinder; and disconnect from the cylinder responsive to a pressure inside the cylinder reaching a threshold pressure.

A fire suppression system that includes a non-rigid pouch, a quantity of suppressant, a quantity of gas, and a pressurized gas source. The non-rigid pouch that includes an exterior surface and an interior space. The quantity of suppressant, the quantity of gas, and the pressurized gas source is contained within said interior space. The pressurize gas source is configured to increase the internal pressure of the non-rigid pouch by injecting gas into the interior space. The non-rigid pouch is configured to rupture when the internal pressure exceeds a predetermined threshold pressure.

Stove guard using a broad field of view
11441845 · 2022-09-13 · ·

A stove guard having a data processing unit and a heat sensor arrangement for receiving heat radiation from objects located in a given field of view and for delivering the detector signals indicative of the received heat radiation to the data processing unit. The heat sensor arrangement is arranged to generate detector signals differently corresponding to the heat radiation received from a central area of the field of view than to the heat radiation received from a circumferential area of the field of view.

Self contained stovetop fire suppressor with alert signal and method
11439850 · 2022-09-13 · ·

An automatic stovetop fire suppressor with suppressor activation triggering an audible alert of a fire condition and method are provided herein. A plastic bottom lid is secured to a bottom of a can, forming a closed container. A fire suppressing agent and a sound board are housed within the closed container. As the fire suppressor actuator is triggered, the bottom lid lowers releasing the fire suppressing agent and tripping a sound board alert switch. A microcontroller generates a desired fire condition signal which is played across a low voltage magnetic transducer. The suppressor is user friendly, provides an automated release of fire suppressing agent in the presence of a stovetop fire, and emits a continuing audible alert signal until a user disables the same. The fire suppressing agent and battery powered sound board are stored in the closed from manufactured end to activation of the suppressor in a fire condition.

FIRE DETECTION SYSTEM WITH A LEARNING MODE

A fire detection and suppression system includes a fire suppression system configured to suppress a fire, an ambient temperature sensor, one or more temperature sensors, and a controller. The ambient temperature sensor measures an ambient temperature. The one or more temperature sensors are configured to measure a hazard temperature. The controller is configured to receive ambient temperature readings from the ambient temperature sensor and hazard temperature readings from the one or more temperature sensors over a learning time period. The controller is configured to determine one or more characteristic values based on the received ambient temperature readings and the hazard temperature readings over the learning time period. The controller is configured to use the one or more characteristic values to detect a fire condition. The controller is configured to activate the fire suppression system in response to detecting the fire condition.

A fire extinguishing range assembly includes a range has an oven is integrated therein and a plurality of burners. An oven temperature sensor is integrated into the range and a burner temperature sensor is integrated into the range. A fire extinguisher is integrated into the range and the fire extinguisher contains a fire retardant. The fire extinguisher is actuated when either of the burner temperature sensor or the oven temperature sensor senses a temperature that exceeds a pre-determined temperature. A plurality of nozzles is strategically distributed around the range. Each of nozzles is in fluid communication with the fire extinguisher thereby facilitating each of the nozzles to spray the fire retardant when the fire extinguisher is actuated to extinguish a fire that is burning in or on the range.
