DRY CHEMICAL FIRE SUPPRESSANT FOR A BATTERY PACK
A fire suppressant for cooling a battery pack includes a pressurized mixture of a dry chemical and carbon dioxide. The dry chemical is an inorganic particulate chemical. The dry chemical particles are small enough to be carried by a flow of depressurizing carbon dioxide. A mass of the dry chemical is between 5% and 50% of a mass of the carbon dioxide. The carbon dioxide, when depressurized, vaporizes and cools the dry chemical and the battery pack. The dry chemical can adhere to the battery pack when the mixture is depressurized. An amount of the fire suppressant used to cool the battery pack is equal to or greater than an inerting volume of fire suppressant for the battery pack.
Fire extinguishing composition containing saccharide and saccharide derivative
The present disclosure relates to a fire extinguishing composition containing saccharide and a saccharide derivative, comprising a saccharide derivative, a saccharide material and an auxiliary fire extinguishing agent, whose mass percentages are respectively: saccharide derivative 30%-60%, saccharide material 10%-40%, and auxiliary fire extinguishing agent 10%-30%. The fire extinguishing composition uses a pyrotechnic agent as a heat source and a power source, is heated and decomposed or reacts by using the heat of burning of the pyrotechnic agent, to generate a fire extinguishing material to be sprayed together with the fireworks agent, thereby achieving the fire extinguishing purpose. The fire extinguishing composition of the present disclosure uses a saccharide derivative and a saccharide material as primary ingredients, uses a pyrotechnic agent as a heat source and a power source, and is easily decomposed after being heated to generate non-toxic and harmless gas. The environment is not polluted after the ejection, the effective utilization rate of components is high, and the material obtained through decomposition can also extinguish fire, so as to generate a synergistic action on the pyrotechnic agent, thereby improving the fire extinguishing performance of the whole fire extinguishing composition.
Method and system for producing carbon dioxide jets and ejector means configured to expel high-speed carbon dioxide jets with solid phase sublimation
The present invention refers to a method and system for ejecting carbon dioxide as High-Speed Jets with Sublimation. More specifically, the present invention describes a method and system capable of controlling and extinguishing fires from the CO.sub.2 ejected. In summary, the proposed method comprises the steps of removing CO.sub.2 in a first state (G) from the storage medium (2) and inserting the CO.sub.2 in first state (G) in the driver set (3); maintaining the insertion of CO.sub.2 in first state in the driver set (3) up to the equalization of the internal pressure between the storage medium (2) and the driver set (3); removing carbon dioxide in a second state (L) from the storage medium (2) and inserting the carbon dioxide in second state in the driver set (3) after the equalization of the pressure of the storage medium (2) and of the driver set; ejecting the CO.sub.2 in the form of high-speed jets with high content of CO.sub.2 in third state (S) through the driver set (3).
