Enhanced vehicle operation
A computer includes a processor and a memory, the memory storing instructions executable by the processor to collect (a) ambient weather data, (b) vehicle speed data including at least one of a vehicle speed or an engine speed, and (c) operation data of a climate control subsystem of a vehicle, input the collected data to a regression program trained to output a predicted pressure of refrigerant of the climate control subsystem, the regression program trained with previously determined ambient weather data, data of a previous vehicle speed or a previous engine speed, and previous operation data of the climate control subsystem, determine an actual pressure of the refrigerant in the climate control subsystem, and actuate a component upon determining that a difference between the predicted pressure and the actual pressure falls below threshold.
MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR COOLING AND WARMING BOX
A sensor is attached to a cooling and warming box accommodating a cooling agent. A server device manages a transportation company that requests transportation of the cooling and warming box. The server device wirelessly receives box information indicating a detection result from the sensor. The server device receives replacement information of the cooling and warming agent accommodated in the cooling and warming box from a freezing center. The server device sends the box information and the replacement information received wirelessly to the managed transportation company.
TRANSPORT REFRIGERATION EQUIPMENT CONNECT TO WI-FI NETWORKS FOR DATA TRANSMISSION TO BACKEND
Provided are embodiments for a method and system for managing equipment connections to Wi-Fi networks for data transmission to backend systems. The embodiments can include determining a location of a first container, and transmitting credential information to a controller of the first container over a first connection based on the determined location. Embodiments can also include receiving an acknowledgment from the first container over the first connection, and enabling communication with the first container over a second connection using the credential information, wherein the first connection is different than the second connection.
Activation and deactivation of a purge unit of a vapor compression system based at least in part on conditions within a condenser of the vapor compression system
Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed toward purge units of vapor compression systems, and methods of control thereof, that selectively activate and deactivate the purge unit in response to one or more conditions to, for example, control refrigerant-to-air ratios while still minimizing the durations of the purge cycles. For example, in certain embodiments, these conditions may include conditions within the chiller condenser, time since last purge activation, time since last venting of non-condensables, and combinations thereof. By reducing an amount of time that the purge unit would be active without removing a substantial amount non-condensables from the vapor compression system, present embodiments reduce the power consumption of the purge unit, as well as the vapor compression system as a whole, while still being responsive to prevent or mitigate a loss of efficiency due to a substantial accumulation of non-condensables in the condenser of the vapor compression system.
CONTAMINANT RESISTANT CHARGE VALVE
A charge valve assembly for an air conditioning system includes a valve housing having a first end, a second end, and an inner surface defining a cavity. A valve core assembly is received in the cavity of the valve housing through the second end of the valve housing. The valve core assembly has a first end, a second end, a flow channel extending from the first end of the valve core assembly to the second end of the valve core assembly, an inner sealing surface, and a pin slideably received in the flow channel between an open position and a closed position. The pin has a primary seal selectively engaging the inner sealing surface of the valve core assembly and closing the flow channel at the second end of the valve core assembly when in the closed position. The pin biases towards the first end of the valve housing.
ODOR REPRODUCING APPARATUS OF HVAC SYSTEM FOR VEHICLE
An odor reproducing apparatus of a HVAC system for the vehicle may include an odor reproducing device configured to reproduce and evaluate odor by applying a HVAC system module, a heat exchange outdoor device mounted at one side of the odor reproducing device to control a temperature and humidity of an experimental space, and a control device mounted at one side of the odor reproducing device and the heat exchange outdoor device to control an operation of the odor reproducing device and an operation of the heat exchange outdoor device to implement a field environment and vehicle conditions for evaluating an odor improvement effect of the HVAC system reflecting an odor reduction technology.
Climate control method for motor vehicle with removable roof and side doors
A climate control system includes a plurality of vent registers, an HVAC unit delivering conditioned air to the plurality of vent registers, a side door status monitoring device and a controller configured to control opening and closing of the plurality of vent registers in response to side door status data provided by the side door status monitoring device. A related climate control method is also provided.
Automobile air conditioning unit leak detection device
An automobile air conditioning unit leak detection device including a detection unit, a control unit, and a probe unit. The detection unit includes a sound detector member and a camera member. Each member is able to detect a leak from the air conditioning unit. The control unit includes a housing member having a pair of strap elements for attaching the housing member to a wearer's wrist. The housing member includes a display element for outputting a viewable image received from the camera member, and a speaker element for outputting one or more sound waves received from the sound detector member. The probe unit includes an elongated flexible cable member having the detection unit attached at a distal end and the control unit attached at a proximate end. The flexible cable member transmits one or more signals between the control unit and the detection unit.
Method for maintaining a vehicle air conditioning unit and service apparatus therefor
A method for servicing a vehicle air-conditioning system operated with a closed coolant circulation system, in which in a first servicing phase, a circulation mixture of refrigerant, compressor oil and, if appropriate, further mixture components is sucked out from a vehicle air-conditioning system into a separator stage by means of a compressor via a separator and in the process refrigerant is separated from the sucked-out circulation mixture by means of the separator, compressed and collected, and its quantity is determined. In a second servicing phase, the refrigerant circulation system of the vehicle air-conditioning system is largely emptied of residual content by means of a vacuum pump. The residual gases which are pumped out in the second servicing phase are conducted through the separator stage by means of the compressor, and the quantity of residual refrigerant collected in the process is determined.
Method for preventing and detecting coolant discharges from complex hydraulic systems
The invention relates to a method for preventing and detecting coolant discharges from complex hydraulic systems. The aim of the invention is to configure such a method in such a way that this method in particular meets requirements for preventing/limiting the development of explosive atmospheres in working areas and for reducing measures from previously otherwise typical requirements for Ex zones. This aim is achieved in that a circuit carrying coolant is divided into small volumes that have stop valves and a relief valve, wherein a leak detection diagnosis can be carried out by means of a pressure sensor that can be integrated.
