USER-GUIDED REFRIGERANT RECHARGE FOR VEHICLES
In one aspect, a system for recharging a refrigeration system of a vehicle is provided. The system includes a refrigerant delivery device configured to removably couple to a recharge port of the refrigeration system. The refrigerant delivery device comprises a controller, a refrigerant container, and at least one sensor. The controller is configured to communicatively couple with User Equipment (UE) of a user over a communication channel. The refrigerant container stores a refrigerant. The at least one sensor is configured to measure one or more parameters of the refrigeration system. The controller is configured to transmit, via the communication channel, the one or more parameters of the refrigeration system to the UE, receive, via the communication channel, one or more commands from the UE to perform a recharge process for the refrigeration system, and selectively deliver the refrigerant to the refrigeration system in response to the one or more commands.
Apparatus and Method for Indicating Status of Multi-Phase Vacuum-Assisted Recovery of Refrigerant
The disclosure relates to apparatuses and methods for indicating status of multi-phase vacuum-assisted recovery of refrigerant from a vehicle. One apparatus for multi-phase vacuum-assisted recovery of refrigerant from a vehicle includes a compressor that removes refrigerant from the vehicle during a first phase and a second phase of a recovery process. The apparatus also includes a vacuum pump to assist the compressor in the removal of refrigerant from the vehicle during a second stage of the recovery process. Further, the vacuum pump is fluidly connected in series with the compressor during the second phase of the recovery process. The apparatus additionally includes one or more status lights and at least one processor to determine a status of the recovery process. At least one of the status lights is illuminated to represent a status of the recovery process, and at least one is visible from 360 degrees around the apparatus.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FLUSHING AND CLEANING AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM
The present invention provides systems for cleaning air conditioning systems, especially vehicle air conditioning systems, and methods utilizing said systems, wherein said cleaning systems comprise: a set of designated connectors; a cleaning fluid container; a heating element; a pump; and a filter.
VEHICLE AIR CONDITIONER DEVICE
There is disclosed a vehicle air conditioner device which is capable of continuing air conditioning of a vehicle interior also in a case where a failure occurs in a solenoid valve to change a flow of a refrigerant in each operation mode. A vehicle air conditioner device 1 includes a solenoid valve 17 for cooling, a solenoid valve 21 for heating and a solenoid valve 22 for dehumidifying to switch respective operation modes of the vehicle air conditioner device. A controller changes and executes the respective operation modes of a heating mode, a dehumidifying mode, and a cooling mode. The controller has a predetermined air conditioning mode during failure, and failure detecting means for detecting failure of the solenoid valve. In a case where the failure detecting means detects that the solenoid valves fail in the respective operation modes, the controller selects the air conditioning mode during failure in which vehicle interior air conditioning by the operation mode is achievable, to continue the air conditioning of the vehicle interior.
OIL REFILL CONTAINER
An oil refill container that can be coupled to a coolant refill station in an air conditioning system for motor vehicles comprises a body defining an oil containment compartment adapted to be mixed with the coolant circulating in said air conditioning system, and a closing cap provided with quick coupling means adapted to be connected to the refill station or a seat adapted to removably connect the quick coupling means to said closing cap, said closing cap comprising a cover and an under-cap adapted to define a compartment suitable for containing at least an amount of a drying substance when coupled to the cover.
AIR CONDITIONER PIPING SYSTEM AND METHOD OF PRODUCING THE SAME
An air conditioning piping system of the disclosure includes a refrigerant pipe made of a plastic material and configured to provide a fluid flow between components constituting an air conditioning system; at least one connection flange made of the plastic material and configured to provide a connection between the refrigerant pipe and components constituting the air conditioner system; and at least one charging port made of the plastic material and having a charging valve configured to inject a refrigerant into the refrigerant pipe.
METHOD FOR CHANGING COOLANT IN A VEHICLE ENGINE
The present invention provides a system and method for efficiently replacing the coolant in a vehicle engine and for checking the integrity of the coolant system to identify leaks.
Apparatus and Method for a Multi-Phase Vacuum-Assisted Recovery of Refrigerant
The present disclosure relates to apparatuses and methods for multi-phase vacuum-assisted recovery of refrigerant from a vehicle. One apparatus for multi-phase vacuum-assisted recovery of refrigerant from a vehicle includes a compressor that removes refrigerant from the vehicle during a first phase and a second phase of a recovery process. The apparatus also includes one or more pressure sensitive devices that are each configured to measure a first pressure and/or a second pressure in the apparatus. Upon the first pressure being less than a first threshold pressure, a vacuum pump that is fluidly connected in series with the compressor assists the compressor in the removal of refrigerant from the vehicle during a second stage of the recovery process. Also, upon the second pressure being less than a second threshold pressure, the vacuum pump ceases assisting the compressor.
COOLANT MEASUREMENT APPARATUS AND METHOD
An apparatus and method for measuring coolant temperature to ensure the proper amount of coolant for refilling or servicing a coolant system, such as an automobile coolant system, are disclosed. In one embodiment, the apparatus includes a measurement display for viewing the temperature of air conditioning output inside a vehicle while the user is outside the vehicle refilling or servicing a coolant system. The measurement display is in communications with a temperature sensor measuring the air temperature at a vent inside the vehicle to allow a user to ensure the proper amount of coolant is refilled.
