Volatile composition dispenser
A volatile composition dispenser comprises a volatile composition container comprising at least one volatile composition therein. A rupture element is positioned proximate to the volatile composition container. The volatile composition container comprises a cam comprising a camming surface. The camming surface is configured to move at least a portion of the rupture element toward the volatile composition container to puncture the volatile composition container and release at least a portion of the volatile composition from the volatile composition container such that the portion of the volatile composition evaporates and exits the volatile composition dispenser.
SCENT DISPENSER SUITABLE FOR USE IN ENCLOSED ENVIRONMENTS, FOR INSTANCE FOR USE IN VEHICLES
A scent dispenser includes a housing, holder having scent cartridge receiver(s) to removably hold scent cartridges, baffle(s) with a port which is positionable, actuator(s) (e.g., stepper motors), and a control subsystem that drives the actuators to position the baffles to selectively dispense scent from the scent cartridges. The scent cartridges can have passages, at least some of which contain scent media, and optionally one passage without scent media. The housing can be cylindrical and fittable in a cup holder of an automobile. The scent dispenser can have vents at a bottom, a grille at a top, and an air mover (e.g., fan) to create an air flow from the vents through the grille, passing through any scent channels which are aligned with the ports to dispense scent. One or more substrates (e.g., printed circuit boards) can have apertures (e.g., large central passage) to facilitate the air flow.
SCENTING DEVICE FOR SCENTING A VEHICLE INTERIOR
A scenting device for scenting a vehicle interior may include at least one aromatic substance container holding a supply of an aromatic substance. The device may also include a feeding duct for feeding air to the at least one aromatic substance container and a discharge duct for discharging air enriched with the aromatic substance. The device may further include at least one scenting path for enriching air with the aromatic substance from the at least one aromatic substance container. The device may include a bypass duct branching off from the feeding duct and bypassing the at least one aromatic substance container. The device may also include a bypass valve and at least one container valve. The device may include a camshaft including a bypass cam configured to actuate the bypass valve and at least one container cam configured to actuate the at least one container valve.
Replaceable Cartridge Having at Least One Scent Carrier
A replaceable cartridge for a scent dispensing system includes a scent medium having at least one scent carrier and a body surrounding a chamber for housing the scent medium. A surface area of the scent medium is configured to control a diffusion rate of a scent from the scent medium, and a shape of the scent medium remains constant in different environmental conditions. At least a portion of the body is transparent or translucent.
AIR SCENTING SYSTEM
The instant devices and approach provide a way to provide custom scented fluids (or air freshener) in the form of evaporated scented air and also atomized scented liquids. It combines a vessel capable of constraining scented fluids or air fresheners with a semipermeable membrane for dispersing evaporated scented air and also an atomizer for dispersing scented liquids into the air and thereby eliminates the need for secondary valves.
Connecting adapter for connecting fragrance container to fragrance emitter and fragrance apparatus with such connecting adapter
A fragrance apparatus for distributing fragrance in a vehicle includes a connecting adapter for connecting a fragrance container to a fragrance emitter device. The connecting adapter includes a fixed component, a movable component, and springs connected between the fixed component and the movable component. The movable component is pivotable with respect to the fixed component through the springs to compensate for any angular misalignment between the movable component and the fragrance container when the movable component is attached to the fragrance container.
METHOD FOR DELIVERING A VOLATILE MATERIAL
A method of delivering a volatile material to the atmosphere in a continuous manner is disclosed. The method includes providing a delivery engine having a reservoir that includes a volatile material mixture. The volatile material mixture includes about 40% to about 100%, by total weight, of the volatile materials each having a vapor pressure at 25 C. of less than about 0.1 torr. The delivery system also includes a microporous membrane enclosing the reservoir, wherein the microporous membrane comprises an average pore size of about 0.01 to about 0.03 microns.
Vehicle provided with perfume diffuser and method of controlling thereof
A vehicle includes a perfume diffuser including a pair of electrodes, at least one fragrance cartridge including a resistance plate electrically connected to the pair of electrodes, and a controller identifying the types of the fragrance cartridge based on the size of current flowing through the pair of electrodes and the resistance plate.
