ADHESIVE BONDLINE SPACER CLIP
A spacer clip for ensuring a minimum adhesive bond line thickness (T) during an attachment event with an adhesive, the spacer clip including: a spacer element having a thickness (t) defining the minimum bond line thickness, adapted to be arranged interleaved between a first vehicle part and a second vehicle part, a hold portion generally parallel with the spacer element and attached to the spacer element with an interconnecting portion. The spacer clip is mountable on the first vehicle part. The hold portion is adapted to be arranged on an opposite side of the first vehicle part compared to the spacer element. The spacer element and the hold portion are adapted to maintain a pressure on the first vehicle part such that the spacer clip can be mounted on the first vehicle part prior to the attachment event.
SUPPORT FOR A VEHICLE WINDOW
A support for a vehicle window includes a body first, second and third portions that define a channel between them adapted to receive the window therein. The first portion has a first surface that defines one side of the channel, the second portion has a second surface that defines an opposite side of the channel and the third portion has a third surface that defines a base of the channel. The first portion includes a breakable area that is located at a junction between the first surface and third surface, or the breakable area is located between the third surface and a free end of the first portion and is adapted to break under a lower force than are other portions of the body so that the second portion and third portion of the body are separated from the first portion.
SPACER TOOL
A spacer tool for assembling a glass panel on a frame is provided. The spacer tool includes a body defining a central axis and a width along the central axis. The spacer tool includes a bore disposed within the body and axially aligned along the central axis. The bore is adapted to receive an alignment pin disposed on the frame. The spacer tool also includes a plurality of lands disposed on the body. Each of the plurality of lands is disposed substantially parallel to and spaced apart from the central axis, each of the plurality of lands is adapted to selectively contact an edge of the glass panel. Each of the plurality of lands is disposed at a distance relative to the central axis different from one another.
FIXED WINDOW FOR VEHICLE
A window member is joined to a surface of a window-opening peripheral edge on an inside of a vehicle cabin through an adhesive to cover a window opening. A dam member for separating the window-opening peripheral edge and the window member from each other at a predetermined interval is interposed between the window-opening peripheral edge and the window member. The dam member is set at a position closer to an inner peripheral end of the window-opening peripheral edge than a set position of the adhesive when viewed in a penetrating direction of the window opening.
Windscreen installation apparatus and method
Apparatus for use in handling windscreens for example for installation in a vehicle, includes a windscreen anchor assembly comprising a windscreen anchor device and a support arm extending away from the windscreen anchor device. A mount assembly is provided for supporting the windscreen anchor assembly. The mount assembly includes a mount structure for engaging with the support arm such that the support arm can slide bodily in its longitudinal direction with respect to the mount structure.
ASSEMBLY TOOL FOR THE ASSEMBLY OF A WINDOW PANE IN A WINDOW FRAME OF A VEHICLE
An assembly tool for assembly of a window pane in a window frame of a vehicle is provided. The assembly tool includes a tool body with a support for supporting and holding the tool body on a first edge of the window pane and a tool arm extending along a longitudinal axis. A distal end of the tool arm includes a distance gauge extending transversely to the longitudinal axis of the tool arm and configured to be inserted between a second, guided edge of the window pane and a pane guide part which guides the guided edge of the window pane within the window frame. The assembly tool also includes a push arm that is displaceable relative to the tool body and configured to clamp the tool body between the first edge of the window pane and a frame part of the window frame. The push arm is actuated by external force.
Work Vehicle
In a work vehicle, a windshield provided at a front portion of a vehicle body includes an upper shield disposed upwardly of a hood and a lower shield that can be disposed at a position closing a gap formed between a lower end of the upper shield and an upper face of the hood. There is provided a support unit configured to support the lower shield vertically movably to be capable of selectively disposing the lower shield at the closing position for closing the gap and an opening position for opening the gap.
Portable windshield installation device
A portable apparatus, and methods to operate the apparatus, comprising a base that securely engages with a tire, a motor support structure, an electric motor coupled to an electrical power source, a pulley system, one or more attachment devices, and an electrical motor control device utilized to raise and lower a windshield (or other component) from a vehicle.
Vehicle having convertible top and side panel
A vehicle having a vehicle body which is provided with a manually removable side panel at a longitudinal side of the vehicle, and a top having a top linkage which comprises a link arrangement on either side of the vertical longitudinal center plane of the vehicle, each link arrangement being pivotably mounted on a respective vehicle-attached main bearing. The removable side panel can be secured to at least one element of the top linkage by a manually unlockable locking device.
