Vehicle door
A vehicle door includes a window frame delimiting a window aperture and a window pane that is adjustably positioned in the window aperture. The window frame includes a first leg having a first surface which is situated opposite a first edge of the window pane extending in the adjusting direction. The window frame also includes a second leg having a second surface which is located opposite a second edge of the window pane extending in the adjusting direction. At least the first surface of the first leg delimits a clearance of the window pane transversely to the adjusting direction. In a closed position, the first edge and the first surface touch one another at the height of an upper region of the first leg. At a height of a lower region of the first leg the first edge and the first surface run spaced from one another.
LUMINOUS AUTOMOTIVE-VEHICLE GLAZING UNIT AND AUTOMOTIVE VEHICLE WITH SUCH A GLAZING UNIT
A luminous automotive-vehicle glazing unit includes a first glazing pane, made of organic or mineral glass, of refractive index n1 of at least 1.4 with first and second main faces; a light source coupled to the first glazing pane; and a light-extracting system including a scattering layer of width of at least 1 cm including scattering dielectric particles bound by a transparent matrix of refractive index n2. The scattering particles are mainly microparticles that are spaced apart from one another and that include a shell made of a transparent dielectric material and making contact with the transparent matrix, the shell surrounding a core of refractive index n3 of at most 1.15 and of largest dimension called D3 in a range extending from 5 m to 200 m, the microparticles having a largest dimension D smaller than 2D.sub.3.
Automotive glass setting apparatus and method thereof
Provided is an automotive glass setting apparatus. The apparatus includes a setting base supporting a glass having a plurality of edges, and a plurality of alignment units allowing the glass to be aligned with the setting base. The apparatus further includes a scanning unit scanning the edges of the glass, and a plurality of moving mechanisms moving the plurality of alignment units. Additionally, the apparatus includes a controller controlling the moving mechanisms based on data scanned by the scanning unit to align a center of the glass with a center of the setting base.
Windshield setting system
A device for facilitating the removal and installation of a windshield by a single technician without use of heavy equipment includes a base plate, a slide plate and a deck plate. The base plate may be secured to a wiper blade post. The slide plate is secured to the base plate and may be slidably adjusted to a desired position. A deck plate may be secured to the slide plate. The deck plate has a roller or other channel within which the edge of windshield may easily slide in order to position the windshield and support most of its weight as it is manipulated by a technician.
Automotive window glass, method for attaching a molding, and method for manufacturing automotive window glass
Automotive window glass to which a molding for sealing space between a car body and the window glass is to be attached, the window glass including, an attachment starting point mark indicating an attachment starting point of the molding, and at least one of a termination starting point mark and a termination last point mark in a specification range in which a termination of the molding, of which an attachment to the window glass being started from the attachment starting point, is to be placed.
Windscreen installation apparatus and method
Apparatus for use in handling windscreens for example for installation in a vehicle, includes a windscreen anchor assembly comprising a windscreen anchor device and a support arm extending away from the windscreen anchor device. A mount assembly is provided for supporting the windscreen anchor assembly. The mount assembly includes a mount structure for engaging with the support arm such that the support arm can slide bodily in its longitudinal direction with respect to the mount structure.
Glazing comprising a pin, and method of manufacturing the glazing
A glazing includes a glazed element and at least one pin for positioning or fixing the glazing on a structural element, notably a vehicle bodywork element. The pin includes on the one hand a base which is bonded using a layer of adhesive material to a surface of the glazed element or which has an overmolded part situated in a profiled-seal portion, and an outer part situated outside of the profiled-seal portion and on the other hand a projecting element which has a guide or fixing head and a foot, the projecting element including a system for clipping it to the base with respect to a vertical central axis A.

A mount assembly is provided for supporting the windscreen anchor assembly. The mount assembly includes a mount structure for engaging with the support arm such that the support arm can slide bodily in its longitudinal direction with respect to the mount structure.
Automotive Glass Setting Apparatus and Method Thereof
Provided is an automotive glass setting apparatus and a method for setting a vehicle glass. The method includes loading a glass having a plurality of edges onto a setting base, scanning, by a scanning unit, the plurality of edges of the loaded glass, and calculating a center of the glass based on data scanned by the scanning unit. The method further includes adjusting, by a plurality of alignment units and a plurality of moving mechanisms, a position of the glass to align the calculated center of the glass with a center of the setting base.
