A side window visor designed to attach to a vehicle window channel. The side window visor can be arranged and configured to extend over a portion of a window area for preventing inclement weather from entering the passenger cabin with the window slightly opened. A full length tab is reduced to form a plurality of tabs along the tab area of a side window visor. The plurality of tabs located on the side window visor allows the auto-up window feature to be used without causing large resistance and retraction of the window.

Vehicle flow influencing assembly and method

An exemplary vehicle flow influencing assembly includes a deflector formed together with a seal that provides a portion of a glass run for a side window of a vehicle. The deflector projects outward from the vehicle when the side window is lowered such that the deflector influences flow over an opening to a passenger compartment of the vehicle. A vehicle flow influencing assembly includes a pillar that is directly forward a side window of a vehicle, and a deflector configured to influence flow over an opening to a passenger compartment of the vehicle. The opening is provided by positioning the side window in an open position. The deflector extends longitudinally in a direction aligned with the pillar. The deflector projects outward from a primary surface of the pillar when the side window is closed and when the side window is open.

SIDE WINDOW DEFLECTOR

A side window deflector has a body, and a flange joined to the body for fitting into a channel of a vehicle door window. At least one camming facet is formed on an inner surface of a deflector body end portion, adjacent a junction of an end portion lower edge and a flange lower edge. An advancing top edge of a window glass will encounter this camming facet before it encounters any other structure of the body end portion. Some embodiments have two camming facets. The camming facet eases the upward travel of the window glass into its channel. The main and end portions of the body have curved and recurved transitions to the flange, mitigating against bending stress.
