TRANSPARENT PROTECTIVE COATING
A disclosed system provides protection to a window or windshield and includes a high-strength, high-toughness, transparent covering material, and attachment members. The covering material may be removably secured over the window or windshield via the attachment members. The covering material includes a handle, attached to covering material, which is configured to transmit an applied force from the handle to the covering material. The covering material is configured to bend or break in response to a force applied to the handle. A barrier material having a raised profile extending from a surface of the covering material is also provided. The barrier material is configured to divert liquid, incident on the covering material, to edges of the covering material. An embodiment covering material includes a polycarbonate material having a thickness of between 1 mm and 6 mm. The covering material includes coating materials that provide scratch resistance and protection from ultra-violet radiation.
PROTECTIVE BARRIER FOR SAFETY GLAZING
A protective barrier affixable to a curved substrate comprises a stack of two or more lenses, each of the two or more lenses including a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film, a hard coat on a first side of the PET film, and an adhesive layer on a second side of the PET film opposite the first side. The stack of two or more lenses may have a modulation transfer function that exhibits a contrast value greater than 75% for a spatial resolution of one line-pair per 0.0003 radians at 65 degrees angle of incidence. Heat and pressure may be applied to conform the stack of two or more lenses to the shape of the curved substrate.
Car window and door guard
A car window and door guard has an upper or window portion configured to be mounted over the window frame surrounding the window of a car door, and a lower or door portion or cover configured to be lie over the door panel. The window portion has a front panel and a rear panel to form a sleeve. The window portion is generally see-through or transparent. The door includes an upper strip or section and a series of window tabs. Each window tab has a generally flat or planar portion extending from an elongated upper channel portion. The channel portion captures the door window slot or surround to prevent the window tab from being moved upward during the raising of the window. The door portion also has a lower section extending downwardly from the upper section that drapes over the car's door panel to protect the door panel.
Thin thermally and chemically strengthened glass-based articles
Embodiments of thermally and chemically strengthened glass-based articles are disclosed. In one or more embodiments, the glass-based articles may include a first surface and a second surface opposing the first surface defining a thickness (t), a first CS region comprising a concentration of a metal oxide that is both non-zero and varies along a portion of the thickness, and a second CS region being substantially free of the metal oxide of the first CS region, the second CS region extending from the first surface to a depth of compression of about 0.17•t or greater. In one or more embodiments, the first surface is flat to 100 μm total indicator run-out (TIR) along any 50 mm or less profile of the first surface. Methods of strengthening glass sheets are also disclosed, along with consumer electronic products, laminates and vehicles including the same are also disclosed.
Front guard and working machine
A working machine includes a machine body an operator seat mounted on the machine body, a front working device swingable upward and downward, the front working device being provided forward of the operator seat and on one side in a machine-width direction eccentric with respect to a central portion of the operator seat, and a front guard provided forward of the operator seat. The front guard includes a first frame member provided forward of the operator seat and on the one side, and a second frame member provided forward of the operator seat and on another side opposite to the one side, the first frame member includes a main rod portion defining upper and lower portions of the first frame member, extending between the upper and lower portions of the first frame member, and provided rearward of the front working device, and the main rod portion is formed to be positioned in a machine fore-and-aft direction closer to the operator seat than the second frame member.
Device and system for providing a wind curtain for preventing bugs from contacting a viewing surface
The present invention is directed to a device and system designed to prevent organisms, such as bugs, from contacting a viewing surface, such as a windshield or window associated with a moving vehicle. The device contains at least a first side wall having an air intake member constructed to receive and capture air flow generated by movement of the motor vehicle. A second wall contains air distribution members and is oriented in a different direction as that of the first wall. Because the device is designed to have side walls oriented at different directions, air exiting the device travels in a different path than the path of entry. In this manner, air flow can be directed to travel across a viewing surface, thereby providing a curtain of air thereupon.
Vehicle Dog Safety System and Method of Use Thereof
The present invention relates to a vehicle dog safety system comprising of a paw mat, seat buckle harness, and window shade with peek-a-boo hole or opening. The paw mat covers portion of car door and prevents vehicle's exterior surface from being scratched by claws of a dog leaning out of peek-a-boo hole or opening. The window shade covers window of car door and prevents air/wind from entering vehicle while providing a safe opening for the dog to lean out. The harness has a chest strap portion worn by a dog and seat belt buckle fastened to a female seat belt port of the vehicle thereby preventing aggressive movement of the dog inside the vehicle and prohibiting the dog from jumping out of the window and onto other passenger seats. The system offers a way to keep owner's vehicles protected and prevent dogs from jumping out of the window.
Multilayer interlayer having sound damping properties over a broad temperature range
A polymer interlayer having improved sound insulation is disclosed. The polymer interlayer comprises: at least one soft layer wherein the soft layer comprises a poly(vinyl butyral) resin composition having a dispersity in composition of at least 0.40 and a plasticizer; and a stiff layer comprising a poly(vinyl butyral) resin composition and a plasticizer; wherein the polymer interlayer has a damping loss factor (η) (as measured by Mechanical Impedance Measurement according to ISO 16940) of at least about 0.15 measured at two or more different temperatures selected from 10° C., 20° C. and 30° C.
POLYMERIC PANE WITH EXTRUDED-ON SEALING PROFILE
A polymeric pane, having a polymeric main body with a first pane surface, a second pane surface, a peripheral pane edge, and a protective coating on the entire second pane surface and on at least part of the first pane surface. An extruded-on sealing profile is mounted on the side of the first pane surface via an adhesion promoter.
Security device for commercial vehicles
A security device for a cargo van comprises a sheet metal grill stamped or laser cut to exhibit a plurality of regularly spaced apertures therethrough and surrounded by a solid border having a plurality of notches formed inward of the border into which are fitted clamp members for securing the grill in place against a window of the cargo van to inhibit break-ins and theft of articles carried by the van. The clamp members include U-shaped sockets adapted to cooperate with the notches formed in the border and base members for secure attachment of the clamp members to a frame of the window using self-tapping screws.
